Laetitia Mitic: We only cocktails on the roof top terrace. Overall okay experience, you have a big view over the city. If you go during the day you have to be prepared for being in the sun (no shadow). The cocktails were nice and you have a lot of options, but they don’t add enough alcohol for the price that you pay in my opinion. Food options are limited but nice.

We ordered the nachos ( as we were watching the world cup) and you can see and taste that the nachos, and the 3 sauces are from a jar supermarket quality. At least chop some tomatoes and onions. Is the minimum! All very chemical 😮💨 I really expected more.

András Vizsy: Central location, with really good view and nice staff. The food was good, the drinks were ok, but the rooftop itself was a little plain, the lack of shadow is a bit of a pity, but all in all, would go and check it out

Gemma Louise Wilks: I was recommended this place by a few work colleagues. You have to ring and book a table or book online. You have the option for indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is extensive with a range of starters, pasta, pizza and mains. I had the salmon and my husband a pasta dish. Both well cooked. My brother in laws had the peppered pork pasta and veal. I had the chocolate fondant pudding (amazing). Wine selection and cocktails are very good. The service was a little slow to warm up but by the end more friendly. Hence the four stars. Highly recommend this place for Italian cuisine.
Ahmad Gilani: Great restaurant! Breakfast is very nice but the coffee was somewhat not good. The lunch was phenomenal! We had a pepper meat spinach pasta and some liver and both were excellent! Also a Gulasch soup that was fantastic! I would go there even if I was not a hotel resident, which I was. Overall recommended!

Shaun: Nice little hidden Gem up in the hills. Although reminds me a lot of France with the Customer Service (have to work hard to get Service Staff attention). The food is ‘nice’ nothing special. Had the signature king Prawn risotto - nice but not much taste. Starter the soup with ice cream. But strange which tasted mainly like cold Berry sauce with ice cream. Like the location - but wouldn’t go out of my way again to visit for the food only.
Brent Duvall: Came here because they were open the day after Christmas and I’m glad I did. The goulash soup had a amazing flavor and my main dish and desert was great as well. Service was friendly and attentive

Peter Viktor Wagner (MrWagner): Impressive kitchen, very well prepared foods from quality ingredients. They have gluten-free options, too, for pasta-lovers. Try the chef’s offers, these are seasonal and very delicious. The service is good, the prices are affordable. There is no explicit dress code but based on its environment business-casual seems to be expected.

Kenneth Madsen: Located inside the Four Seasons, this place has a charming old world atmosphere and very comfortable couches you can enjoy your meal in. There are some delicious options on the menu from fish over meats and some good side dishes. Also a good selection of wines, liquor and beers. Absolutely also make room for desert - both beautifully presented and supremely delicious. Staff professional and polite - some younger assistants, a bit less so, but they are mainly bringing out meals and drinks. The food is delicious, scrumptious and also very nicely presented. Speaking of drinks - consider ordering off their drink menu as a stopper - they make some excellent cocktails.
Emily Elizabeth: Enjoyable meal at this restaurant. Staff were kind and efficient. Food was tasty. My fellow diner’s meat was undercooked and bread was slightly dry, but otherwise the meal was nice. I loved the flavour of the peach in the summer salad. I’d also recommend the cheese gougeres. The side dishes were generous in portion size. Felt the restaurant could lower the lighting slightly not to attract the moths, and create a more intimate atmosphere.
Mike Varel: Fantastic service and recommendations. We started with the burrata and shared the steak and octopus main dishes. Both were beautifully plated and cooked to perfection. The Vida Péter red wine was exceptional as was the cocktail menu. From the setting to the food, everything was wonderful.

Tamas Bakos AC: Perfect brassiere in the downtown of Budapest with a view on the Buda Castle. The personnel was very polite. Good restaurants are know by shorter menu and smaller portions. So you can be sure if you eat something it will way above average and you can eat 3 courses without being completely full.

Thomas: Very lucky to score a reservation at this Michelin starred establishment. Located near The river in downtown Budapest. An amazing wine paired dinner from start to finish. Strong attention to detail with a casual dining feel in an intimate setting. I would have to say that the the signature dish is remarkable - casino egg with caviar - the layering of flavor with the saltiness of the caviar is a delicate balance of flavors with that extra "pop" that i enjoy on my food. Well worth the trip and hopefully they get their second star soon. Thank you for taking the time with our "loud" crew!
M: Service, ambiance, food presentation are great. The menu had 12 courses, looks cute. Wine paring was all white, they are nice wines but too narrow in taste. The same type of wineglass from aperitif to sweet. Some details may need to improve : the bathroom maintenance ( the hand towels were thrown on the floor, the cleaning room was open could see the mop), consistency ( my dessert had no deco but my friend did in the previous day). 3.5 / Overall was nice meal. Happy to see them reopen.

At first you might think that the dishes are small and not too ma u, yet you would depart feeling well fed :) The whole experience is not as long as many other Michelin restaurants I’ve been. Markus Schmidt: Glad I tried it but not convinced I would recommend or come back. Interesting food journey but underwhelming in the way laid out. They sell as 10 course menu but count everything into that, even the amuse bouche and bread. Compared to other Michelin star places in town, too expensive and still way to go. Also service was a little odd. Way too many people and unclear who was in the lead and as such not organised. Had to wait ages to get bill and then no one was helping us with our jackets while 4 people where standing by their staging counter.

V: The place location is great, however the behavior of the staff is unacceptable. I’ve never felt more unwelcome and disrespected in my entire life. One of the staff members treated me and my friends in the most unprofessional way imaginable. I would definitely never again go back, nor do I recommend this place. The prices are extremely high and you get treated in a horrible way, plus there is a service charge of almost 7 euros which is very high compared to other places in Budapest.

Kyle Bridenstine: As a single male traveler it’s very hard getting good service but this place was PHENOMENAL. They didn’t treat me like a second class citizen. The view, atmosphere, live music, staff, food, and beer was AMAZING. This was honestly the best dining experience I had in Budapest. This is really a top notch place. I got the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly and it was so delicious. The moment your beer reaches its last sip the staff is walking over asking if you’d like another one. Nobody rushed you to leave so they can sit another table. There are reserved tables everywhere but they won’t rush you out they are so happy to serve you. I honestly want to thank all the staff for treating me so nicely. THANK YOU!!!! You literally cannot beat this place.

Kalliope Tsouroupidou: Grabbed lunch here on a quiet weekday afternoon. The service was fast (as expected) and the waiter who tended very polite. The space is arguably beautiful but that’s as far as it goes, as the food leaves much to be desired other than looking pretty. Found the gulasch to be super watery and the duck liver pate rather tasteless (as if it came straight out of a can). Ultimately overpriced food for what it is.

Stella Davis S.: Honestly, I just went there for photos since the place looks really cute all pink. Indeed is really nice interior and since I booked a table around 14:00 there was almost empty no rush and I took all the pictures I wanted. Waiters are nice, prices are ok. And I wasn’t expecting anything amazing from the food since I read very bad comments about the food my Caesar salad was good. The vintage garden cocktail a bit too sweet. Overall is great to go in a non rush hour and order something simple.

My organisation had arranged for reliable veggie options - so no way for me to say if they do veggie stuff on other days. But what I got served tasted good - so no complaints. The restaurant has quite the view, as the sun sets and lights get turned on across the Danube on the castle. so even if there are no veggie options, I would recommend stepping in here for tea, or beer - just to enjoy the view.
Diana Olar: Amazing view, with comfortable setting, elegant design and higher quality furniture. Friednly staff, good lighting and music. The food looks amazing. Absolutely well arranged, catefully proportioned ingredients, good meat cuts. On the taste, I’d give it 4/5, as the quail truffle soup was slightly too salty, the boar cheek a bit too well cooked, and the foaie gras a bit too dipped in fat. But just a bit. Mix it with the view, the good wine (the “house” wine is a Montenuovo 2014 - recommend!), atmosphere - and it ocerall hits a 10. Definitely good place to try out!
Maralyn Ragg: Although the food was very nice the service left a lot to be desired. The wine glass had a cobweb which I pointed out. The water was split when pouring, and after wiping up was spilt on the second pour also. The goulash was splashed on one guests arm. The worst of all was 2 of the 3 meals were served and wr had finished eating before the 3rd was brought along. Considering the hype and excitement what a disappointment.

Emily Elizabeth: Was given a lovely outdoor table despite having no reservation. Staff were friendly although very busy at times which probably made the service slightly slower than it would be normally. The view was nice. The atmosphere was the best part. Really buzzy and relaxed. I would have appreciated a wider collection of spirits available to order. The wine was warm in temperature which was slightly disappointing being a wine bar. Overall, I’m happy I visited this bar during my trip.

szandra peev: An excellent place for a cocktail or food at any time of the day. The cocktails are very tasty and the service is excellent. It is a pricey place compared to local standards but worth every penny. Make sure that you book a table in advance as it is a popular place amongst tourists, so you might end up waiting in a line if you do not plan ahead.

G P: View is excellent. Food is ok. Service is good. But at the end, server was “upset” that we confused him if we were gonna pay in cash or credit card. He said he already printed the bill for cash. But we don’t have local currency. He went back to print credit card bill. That was our first meal in the city. Looks like most places you have to decide if you are paying by cash or credit card when you ask for the check (bill).

Balázs Spéder: Fine dining restaurant with simple but excellently executed food palette, great chef, nice interior, immaculate service, waiters running around watching for the next move of the customer. Still I feel like this is a bit too pricey even at this point, as even some Michelin star restaurants are cheaper in the city. Additionally, dishes do not carry any extra which would worth the extra price.

Matjaž Lazar: We spend a wonderful time in this restaurant. The food and offer is absolutely excellent and very delicious, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent sound system. The location of the restaurant very close to the center, with the possibility of parking vehicles. I highly recommend it to all guests if you are in Budapešt. At the end of dinner, I highly recommend ordering an excellent coffee.

Ivana Cattafi: Especially if you are a tourist, do not waste your time in this restaurant. Service is pretty good, but the food was nothing special and we found the conventional fried croquettes in one of the dish. The place where we were seated was with no view and when we asked to be moved upstairs they told us they could not because there was an event, but instead there was nothing 🤦♀️ Appetizers were good.

Jason Heneise: Excellent dinner. The Foie Pure was outstanding! Not usually a fan of liver, but this is a must have! The steaks were fabulous and sitting on the river creates a wonderful environment. The staff work very hard to accommodate everyone. Deer goulash was delicious.

Erin Kluenger: Best Goulash in Budapest! The cocktails are very creative and tasty. But don’t go here if you’re in a rush.
Debbie Young: Spent a nice evening on the Bar and Terrace patio as the sun set. The meat platter was good, and the waitress was especially nice. The reason for only four stars is that the bar was super slow. Waited almost 30 minutes for my second drink after ordering it.

The wine selection was perfect for my Farm Range Chicken with Bernaise sauce. The Roasted Duck with sweet potato mash and potato doughnuts were unforgettable. The presentation and mis en place were fantastic. The elegant decor and first class atmosphere makes for a super special experience. Dessert was fantastic, we ordered the praline chocolate mousse - surprised by the banana 😮 Wow very good.

Mitchell Shepherd: the only thing this place has going for it is a few instagramable cocktails. I was very surprised at how poor the service was especially since it is located inside the Intercontinental. After ordering food, waiting more than an hour, and asking about it several times, we eventually cancelled our order and left.
Stephen Nosalik: The experience here was a little mixed. My wife and I ordered 2 different cuts of steak. When the food was delivered we did not get the cuts requested. The server picked up on this and proactively apologised and went back tot the kitchen to get a new one. In the meantime one of us got to eat and the other just had to wait. We then ordered dessert and it took a very long time to arrive. The panna cotta had way too much gelatine in it though. The mouse however was delicious. The desserts were also offered free for the mistake in our order. The views here are spectacular.

Viktor Tamás: A very romantic place, perfect choice for couples. Above average pricing in Budapest. Gourmet food selection with small portitions. Super tasty and fresh meals. The service is very kind and polite but a bit slow. Parking: Parking on the street. From 18:00 and on weekend is free.
Gábor Vecsei: Had a wonderful evening here with my wife. The food is great, the wines are great and the whole vibe is fantastic. (Shout out to the young black haired, with earrings waiter. Was really kind and gave nice advice for the wines)
Marika Sorichetti: Pavilion de Paris is a restaurant located in the city center of Budapest, in the Buda side. The spot is aesthetically amazing, it seems to be in a forest full of small lights, which make the atmosphere quite and pleasant, moreover there are some very good vibes. The staff is super kind, there was a girl with red hair that was so welcoming and calm, and she assisted me and my boyfriend perfectly. Also the service was good, the plates didn’t come very fast but it was nice to stay there and enjoy the lighting and the place. The food was amazing, the portions are not very big but the ingredients are fresh and everything had An amazing flavor and taste. Concerning the price, considering the overall experience is not that expensive, maybe a litter higher than the standard restaurants in Budapest. I’d strongly recommend this place, especially if you like the French cuisine

Rie Pedersen: The best restaurant experience I’ve ever had. No doubt. Everything was sublime; the service from the passionate staff, the courses both in regard to taste, presentation, and new ideas. We would definitely visit Budapest again with the sole purpose of eating at Onyx.

Samantha Carson: Truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Our waitress was absolutely incredible. She had incredible recommendations on drinks and food. Everything was perfect. It was our last meal out in Budapest and we are so happy with this choice. We were also celebrating our engagement!

Our group of friends ordered a variety of plates and every single on of us was more than satisfied. The waiters were so friendly and eager at the end for us to try their desserts and they were right! A delicious end note to our wonderful experience.

The Spago in Budapest is definitely a recommendation!
