Széchenyi Thermal Bath: what do users think?

Ron Norman: Lovely place, pools indoors and outdoors are nice temperatures. Remember to bring flip flops with you for walking around in especially indoors. The cafe area is decent, had a lovely beef stew there. Would also recommend getting a cabin to get changed in though. Its great you can be there all day to 8pm too with the one entrance fee. Definitely worth a visit.

Saudia Tate: Pretty cool! It’s a bunch of different large pools really. I thought the whirlpool was fun, albeit a little rowdy and crowded. And the outdoor heated pool was my favourite. The indoor pools are too echoey for my liking but they’re nice too. Doing the plunge pools 5 or 6 times between hot and cold was nice. I was under the impression that the saunas cost extra and were only on Sundays but I think there are just Sunday “sauna sessions” (whatever that means). I went on a Tuesday and the saunas were very much open! There was a light sauna and an aroma sauna inside with the indoor thermal pools and then two separate sauna houses outside. Make sure you do them safely though A little unhygienic as people aren’t rinsing off or showering with soap in between the different pools!! Very old and lots of maintenance work being done. But an enjoyable experience for your time Budapest, I look forward to returning and trying out the other thermal baths! It’s also nice to see and talk to people from all over the world! People say to pay extra for the cabin … BUT I say the locker room is just fine with showers and a toilets. Well worth the price. (: 👌🏽 3.5-4/5 just wish it was a bit cleaner

Gellért Thermal Bath: what do users think?

Shweta E.S: Wonderful place to relax on your holiday. The facilities are good, the water is great. Very clean overall. We spent around 5 hours and enjoyed all the pools that were open. Outside pool is the best place to be in winter with 36°C warm water. Sauna Outside was great as well. When inside, we spent most of the time in thermal pools to the right of the main pool. We found these were more beautiful to look at. There are two pools on each side, 36° and 40°. The cold water plung after steam room was another new experience for me 😬. But I enjoyed it and did it a few times 😃. At the time of our visit, the outside wave pool was closed. Do check before you plan if that is something you are interested in.

Jonathan Fresco: Really great for hot water baths. The big outdoor pool was unfortunately closed, but the smaller one best the sauna was great. The sauna is good and there are stream rooms inside as well as more hot baths. The 45 minute massage I received was fine, nothing special but nice. Well worth a visit, if just for the architecture.

Irgalmasok Veli Bej Bath: what do users think?

Ying WANG: Hidden gem with hot and cold baths. Sauna, steam room, jaccuzi and pool. The water is clean and there are a few beach chairs to lay down. Bring your own slippers no slippers for sale nor any rental. 3hr ticket is just the right amount of time.

Lorna Tighe: First baths visited whilst in Budapest and we were not disappointed. Other reviews have suggested a little tricky to find, which is true. The baths are located inside the hospital. Little tip, look for the headless statue just inside the hospital entrance. We hired towels which was useful (you pay a small fee and a deposit which you get back at the end) or take your own. The baths, steam rooms and saunas were lovely, even if small, and the general ambience was so relaxed, mainly due to the small number of people visiting. All in all, a fab introduction to baths.
