Budapest Jazz Club: what do users think?

Kris Hur: good atmosphere. nice music. I will visit again with ticket next time.

Vitri Vit: Interesting place for you who like jazz music. They have bar for drinks and snacks/ burgers. Nice performances for sure!

Victoria Boglarka: Intolerable physical and verbal abuses from a man shooting video footage during the concert 10/02/2022, Budapest Jazz Club. Fortunately enough a foreign couple who saw the incident have offered help and support. Inacceptable to employ, even to let someone of this register enter the premises. (Photos were taken with consent.) #abuse

Bartosz Polańczyk: We wee roaming around the town around 11:15pm looking for some late night food and... We stumbled upon this place :) At first, it didn’t strike me as a cool one, but I heard Jam session music from Bistro zone and... We made a choice to stay that was probably the best decision for the night! Chilled out jazz music in the background, we ordered some drinks, vegetable fries and chefs speciality - meat soup. The soup was one of the best ones I’ve ever had! Meaty, with perfect texture, aromatic and smooth - something in between goulash and broth. It’s served in a pot, which adds to the ritual - pouring it in the bowl and choosing how much meat you want in each portion with the ladle. As for the fries - the sauces were amazing - especially moderately sour BBQ sauce (tasted like the ones based on bourbon, with fruity and sour aftertaste).

liron friedman: We came in for the second half of a show we enjoyed it very much. The bend was great, the hall is very nice.If you like jazz, go visit

György Vályi: The restaurant attached to the Jazz Club is OK. The burger I ordered was delicious. The staff is professional. Air condition. Decent toilet. Card payment is accepted.

Amigo Bar: what do users think?

Brooke Cameron: Lovely locals bar with super friendly staff who enjoyed speaking with us in English, especially the young lad who was very helpful and told us about events happening there between September and may. Played some 8 ball pool which was 850HUF for an hour which you cannot complain about, with cheap drinks. Will definitely return on my next trip to Budapest.

Nagy Gabor: I really like the fact that the staff was very friendly. They didn’t show any sign of being burned out or having enough of guests. They do seem to love what they do. Loved the music and the style! Be prepared for Elvis, Elvis and even more Elvis looking at you from the walls. Also good to note that it’s karaoke night on Thursdays. There are pool tables that are free to use if you get yourself a beer. Quality isn’t very good (the balls can do quite a curve sometimes) but it’s okay to have a good time with. Loved the atmosphere, the staff and had a good time. Definitely would recommend! :)

Jairo Machado: Nice decoration, great music and good prices. I highly recommend it.

Robert Ingram: Great bar for cheap beer and we found the staff friendly. There is also pool tables and games in the basement and this place stays open pretty late.

Axel Edelsvärd: This place has soul, great locals and is family owned by some of the nicest people in Budapest.

Laďa Ondris: A great place with a fantastic atmosphere. I absolutely recommend this place.

Özgün Emre Zor: Good place and amazing bands having show. Specially Elvis Presley Theme band is really great.(Sorry for not remembering the name).

Paul Krach: A cool rockabilly classic American style bar. The prices are ok.

Nathalie W.: Cool bar with tasty drinks for a good price.

roisin mc kenna: This place is so lovely. Gizzy is a gem and treats her customers very well. It was like stepping back in time.if you are looking for an authentic Hungarian gypsy experience this is the place to go. The music started at 10pm, it was outstanding xService: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Laura Alexandra: If you are up for something different and authentic this is the place. Family owned business with live music (officially from 10, but we were there at 9 and they were playing). Enjoy the sound of cimbalom with a shot of home made palinka.

Gluteus Maximus: Sleeping bartender was very nice. Bought two shots of plum palinka which tasted very good. The bartender was not angry at all, and we became very good friends. She did not curse at me at all. I left with a smile. All in all very good.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Matt M: If you want to experience an authentic piece of Hungarian culture, this is the place. Great live music in a laid back, intimate setting.

Natalia Koppel: Very authentic and interesting experience,we really enjoyed it.The music is worth the waiting, the musicians play fantastic Gypsy songs.

MasterOf Disaster: A place to feel local. Location is just 20 meters from the regular tourist traps but you will listen to handmade music and sink into an atmosphere that really merits this word. Enjoy like we did

SMinkhop: I was so sad to see how much things changed from my prior trip here 10 years ago. It went the way of camden town. But this place made up for it. Thank youFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Jack Doyle's Irish Pub & Restaurant: what do users think?

Sean Byrne: Really authentic Irish Pub where the staff make it so worthwhile to visit - they are very friendly and you never have to wait for your drinks. Great atmosphere and great live music ( Irish and pop) from a local musician who made sure everyone had a good time. Many nationalities there enjoying the craic. Drinks were good and not too pricey, Pint of Guinness under €5 and good selection of Irish whiskey from around €4, plus a nice selection of cocktails. All in all well worth a visit and the owner Charles Griffin is from Tipperary.

Rebecca Robinson: Lovely pub, just nicely filling up on an October Wednesday for a Celtic game, very good pint / 500ml and really tasty food. Staff were friendly and gave good service. Fish n chips very generous portion, chicken goujons and chips also very filling, although I would add the sweet chili sauce next time for that extra kick.

Luke Mulholland: Nice little spot in the heart of Budapest. Lovely pints and the Nachos are 10/10. Showing live sport too.

Marc Babbington: Good place to watch sport, but needs more screens so all the seats can view. It gets far too hot inside and is very uncomfortable at the back of the bar. The fans are insufficient. Nice food and quick service, but you pay over the odds compared to other local bars

Lámpás Student Pub: what do users think?

Ilias Gousgou: Great literally underground bar! It reminded me of those great bars in Prague. Highly recommended for young people of any age. Lavish people stay away! This is a real tunnel bar!

Balázs Tiszai: Very typical student / international pub in the city center with a wide range of drinks. Quite run down, but this gives the unique feeling of it. There is also regular live music with open mic sessions. The only negative is that it’s down in a cellar, so there is no mobile connection and the air quality is quite bad sometimes.

Gabor Homor: A good underground place, with a small stage and dancefloor. It is a brick-layered cellar, which gives a rugged atmosphere for underground music events, smaller bands but it can quickly become very crowded.

A1C Herrera Valerio: Great vibe, live music, and a good spot to chill with a date or friends.

4 Matter: Great staff, good prices, excellent crowd. On Sunday nights, there is an open mic night (music) and the bar is always crowded with a nice vibe.

Zinny: I will never forget the feels from lampas. As a musician, going there for the first time with friends and listening to real live music, was everything. With a mug of beer of course. 💕

Beatrise Kaminska: Really easy to miss the door, walked past it the first time. But the atmosphere is great and the staff is cool. It’s pretty popular, so might get cramped at certain times.

Eli Phetteplace: Great local student / dive bar. Fast service even with a full crowd and there is a full room for live music adjacent to the bar. Easy place to meet strangers and friends in this basement bar. Great find!

Garden Kobuci: what do users think?

Domotor Toth: We came here for a blues concert and it was amazing! The sound was one of the best I heard in Budapest, and the beer and fried were very good too 😄 Would definitely return

Gabor Homor: A good open-air place with a lot of options for live music. Usually the bands are from the folk and world music scene, but Hungarian favourite musicians are frequent guests as well. The place is in the inner courtyard of an old castle, with coloured light bulbs illuminating the place, I like the wooden design of the bars and the stage. Good options for food - their baked bread filled with meat and vegetables, and there is a good choice of beers, wines and spirits. Please note they have their own plastic glass, for 250 HUF extra, and a token will be given when returned.

Juc Pec: A lot of amazing wines, craft beers and cool concerts! The place is meant for dancing as the music is too loud to talk. No air movement inside the garden, so it is super hot in the summer.

Peter Szabo: Good atmosphere, benches to sit on, there are food options and plenty of drinks. Be warned that they use the terrible "repohár" system where they take your money in exchange for cups and that money you will never get back. If not for the repohár system they would beat solid 4+ star.

Tamas Turi: Open air concert venue with good Hungarian bands mostly playing alternative music. Basic street food and drinks. I would say that the music is more for the Hungarians but if you have a good company you will enjoy the experience

Gabor Fekete: Nice garden with live music program most evenings during the summer.

Roja Medianista: It is a wonderful place. Highly recommended for those who love to experience cultural activities such as Hungarian music and dance . The beverages and foods are amazing. My favorite beer is cherry beer (I have sweet tooth 😆). They have variety of drinks to choose! You can pay by card and cash.

Gyorgy Perlaki: The best outdoor concert venue in BP!

Down Under Bar: what do users think?

Éva Rónai: This place became one of my favorites places in Budapest. Super kind and cheerful staff, love them! The drinks are great - especially the EMU beer - and the food is unbelievably delicious with reasonable prices. They also have very great events, like the pub quiz and drag bingo. Love you guys, stay this great please! :)

Lili: Lovely drag queen bingo night was an amazing event to see what this place can offer. It is great for gatherings and drinking and laughing. The place is little bit overcrowded , I think they allow the bookings to reach 120% expecting that not everybody will come but what is yes? The more the merrier but not at the edge of pandemic situation…

Vlada: One of the best bars in Budapest! I visited this place during one of the drag bingo nights and was pleasantly surprised by the service that the bar provides and an authentic and friendly atmosphere, especially refreshing for expats so you don’t have to embarrass yourself trying speaking Hungarian, everything is in English and everyone speaks English around too! The owner and the bartenders are super nice and easygoing, the prices are great for a bar in the center of Budapest. Also highly recommend to visit during the Thursday drag bingo, you won’t be disappointed!

Seitek S: Awesome place with great service and very fair prices. You can watch football here, play board games and lose your voice in Karaoke. We have celebrated birthday here, the staff was so helpful and flexible with everything. Now all my friends wants to have their parties here.

Asdrubal Duarte: A very cozy place and very nice service , if you are interested in the Stand Up comedy movement in Budapest, check out this place.Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Tim Byrne: Great place for brunch in the center of the city. It’s a very cozy venue tucked in a side street just off the Grand Boulevard. There were three of us so naturally we had to try different things and throw in an extra order to share. We had a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel, a Full Hungarian Breakfast, Chilaquiles, and added some Biscuits & Gravy to share. There wasn’t a bad dish in the bunch. All were quite tasty and even though our Czech friend though the Chilaquiles was a bit spicy, I would have loved some more green chile. Having lived in the southeast, biscuits and gravy is a staple breakfast food so I was a little bit apprehensive about ordering it in the heart of Budapest but I was pleasantly surprised. The biscuits weren’t as good as those you’d get from meemaw’s cast iron skillet but they would be welcome on most southern breakfast tables. Looking forward to coming back at dinner time to see what treats they have in store.

Barbs Jen: We love coming here, especially for their winning cheesy fries. They are like the best in town. Their wings are quite delicious too and have a great variety of drinks too. The price is mid range I would say. The serving staff is friendly and accommodating. They have a big selection of food. They also have concerts in the evening (maybe on a Saturday, I am not entirely sure). I highly recommend this place.

James Zara: 10-66 has to be one of my favorite hidden bar/breakfast place in Budapest. I went here with two other friends for their Sunday’s unlimited chicken wings special. The amount of unlimited wings you get here is second to none. And since you are most likely going to have the wings, they provide vast amounts of wet tissues, napkins, and complimentary tap water. Otto, our waiter, was professional, knowledgeable, and prompt with our order. One cool thing is that they have a stage for performance for certain nights. I definitely recommend this to all my friends.

Ruin Bars Budapest: what do users think?

Mia Lamprou: The ruin bars of Budapest have a great history! Amazingly stunning alternative spaces in abandoned buildings!!! Such a magnificent experience! You must visit this area! Its chaos and eclecticism has turned it into one of the world’s most famous bars as well!

Marina Camillozzi: Please visit this place you will really enjoy. The atmosphere is amazing and it’s a really cool place to have some drinks and some fun. The ruin pub is something like different and I really recommend.

macarena Ramírez: picturesque place. good way to reborn a space with so much sadness. It has various environments. very good cocktails. I did not like the glass of red wine

Suzanne: Fun place to visit and have a beer or two! We tried the ipa, which we liked being ipa fans. Good place for people watching! There was a guy playing American tunes on his guitar which was entertaining. There is also a small market that sold fruits, vegetables, homemade pastries and souvenirs.

Anna Rowe: So much fun!! We did a bar crawl through the ruin bars, and it was a blast. All the bars had so much going on, every room and nook at a theme. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was all super friendly. We worked our way throughout the bar, and could’ve easily spent more time there! Everyone we met was from all over and so nice to hang out with!

Sarmizia Fetcu: A huge wow!!! A very hippie atmosphere in the heart of jewish quarter. I liked the spirit of this place, totally nonconformist. You can find in here everything you want: wine, beer, art graphitti, people from all around the world and street food just beside. Is a must on your list with places to visit in Budapest.

quadfly360: Really something different. Loved to walk around and explore each room. Maybe packed at night but great to see early in day for the photos!

Instant-Fogas Complex: what do users think?

UmesH Bhujel Official7: Best location for chill out, No entry fee!! you have option to choose different bar 3-4 (2 more were closed) with different DJ’s Music taste. Overall. This place was perfect for refreshment!!

Andria Elia Photography: The place is okay and security is in every corner. U can find various rooms playing different music and the bar has a quick service compared to other bars in the city. I really enjoyed the techno room, the rest were ok I guess. Expensive drinks though. It would be great if the security team could do some check at the door (age etc) since there are a lot of random people and jerk clients!

Livnat Liran: A disco consisting of several different rooms. In one there was a live performance, in the other black music, in the third room there was house music and there was also a smoking area. Less fun that the rooms are not full and then there is no atmosphere. The bar uses a nice idea of a cycle. You get back 3 shekels if you return the glass to the bar. This way you do not use disposable utensils and preserve the environment. A nice place

Jacek Szymański: Definitely my favorite club in Budapest!! There is a lot of rooms to dance and places to hang out so you won’t feel bored at any time being there. There is also a lot of foreigners and the music is really loud and good. There is no entry fee, unless they have changed that sometime recently.

Jennifer Smith: Absolutely fabulous place with free entry. Next time will come for MUCH longer and explore as we only stayed a bit to dance on the ground floor.

Charles B: Full Review: One of the best night clubs I’ve ever been to. No issues with security, if anything they were friendly and helpful. Left and got back in at least 4 times without a problem. Drinks only take a minute and there are lots of bars if some are busy. Music is great on most floors but the real rave is in the tunnel / basement with a talented techno / EDM DJ who I’m dying to know the name of. People are super friendly and it feels very safe. If you’re travelling to Budapest and want to go to the best club in town that is FREE, look no further. It is an amazing night out!

Pankaj Sharma: Best club in Budapest free entry drink was also not much expensive best thing is they have 7 different club inside where you can enjoy ….

George Iashvili: Always a fun place to come! Free entrance and cheap menu inside! Face control makes sure to keep the freaks away! My go to place in Budapest

Roots Budapest Bar & Walk In Tattoo: what do users think?

4 Matter: One of the better local bars in Budapest. Amazing owner who is really kind and generous. Fairly priced and great atmosphere — can’t ask for more!

toulon demenagement: In 1 minutes the nice waitress give me that beer. No Time to breath...Good music Rap as well "home made"

Dan Constantin Barb: Best beer at a good price with happy locals

Camille Verduyn: This Bar is so cool, with nice music, good decoration and good mood. I recommend!

ISABEL MONCADA: Funky place, the decor with a lot of vintage stuff. The music was good and the drinks cold ...great on summer time.

Lyle Anderson: Decor was cool in this chilled put bar with good range of beer. Felt very hip British

Csaba Talabér: Best place in Bp, chill music, dj sets, unique design, great drinks, special atmosphere... Imádom

Mitchell D: Robbi? Roby? Either way, we had a blast with the owner. We hung out on a Sunday watched some football, drank some drinks, and listened to music. A great environment, with amazing staff.

Dasha: Favourite bar in the city. The thing that drags you in the most is the aesthetically pleasing and creative interior. The drinks are nice, they have different cocktail options as well. Food is delicious too. The prices are moderate. Gets quite busy in the late hours, so be aware of the crowd as the place is not the biggest (that just proves the popularity and how good the place is tho). Everyone is friendly, the atmosphere is always nice.

Adriana Zurolo: I loved it! Best pina colada I ever had (and I had many) at a honest price. The barman is very kind, the atmosphere friendly, music is not too loud and the theme is funny. Good job guys 😁

Maria Romanov: Really great bar the music was good as was the decor just wished they served Dreher as what I ordered tasted like washing up liquid maybe I am bad at picking beers 🤷‍♀️

King Rhino: Extremely cool bar with a Soviet Union theme. Also, some of the best drink prices in Budapest.

Y M: Lovely little ruin bar with communism as it’s theme. Great drinks and good price

itamar levy: Only metal music, and Russian music to my taste is too exaggerated. Inside an unpleasant odor. The place is small. Good prices, the whole bar is painted in red and decorated in a Russian communist style. In conclusion, it is not suitable for every person.

Wojciech Futro: Nice pub with leftie and commie vibes having wide selection of alcoholes, in particular beers. They have of course palinka and some wines. You can feel cosiness of the place, especially inside. There were also some seats outside.

Hanys: A nice little pub close to the center of Budapest. Metal/Punk pub! Love it!

jonathan philosof: Not a great expiriance, cold treatment from the bartender, asked to leave early and the menu was limited. The only saving grace is the look.

Martita Enríquez: It was different and the bartender was nice and spoked English, was one of a few they were open until late so, nice choice.

Nightlife Café & Bar: what do users think?

Nino: Just the worst place every,I came in to check the place 2 min ago for an event that will make them money as an empty place the girl there grabbed me by the shoulder and pushed me out saying she is not in the mood to talk? Knowing our events on weekdays gather at least a 150 people. that explains why they are the only empty place in the street Just don’t go there, if this is their service with organisers imagine what they will do to you

Luca Hägele: Menu with wrong prices (had to pay 1350ft for a gin tonic, the menu sad 750ft). The price and service is Okey. Location ist really nice.

Csaba Szekeres: We celebrated the birthday of my dearest friend Cinti. We arrived on Saturday at 14:00 and celebrated a birthday with 30 people until 21:00 so that we will be back at the end of April ☺️🙏

Blanka Lévai: Nearly 30 of us came to celebrate a birthday on a relaxed Saturday afternoon. I would like to point out two things about the location and the birthday. One is that the owners of the place celebrated with us, it was all very human. The other is the dedicated waiter, who served us perfectly the whole evening ☺️

Zsófia Eszter Kempa: We organized my birthday for my best friend here on Saturday afternoon as part of a private party. The VIP section above looks damn good. I have a bet that we are back..😅

Jurics Cintia: Imagine, my 32nd birthday party was organized here. We arrived at 2:00 p.m., decorated the place for a birthday (balloons+decor) and our DJ friends and our friends are having such a party that we will also bring my 33rd birthday here. Thank you to the owners, our party could be private on Saturday between 14:00 and 20:00 for our group of 30 friends, it meant a lot 🙏🙏

Csaba Boa: you are the best

Print Olga: At the beginning of April we had a private party with our thirties. The best point of the evening was the “snowball battle” with Raffaello, it is unbelievable how professionally they organized this for us as well .. ☺️

Jess Brennan: I had the most amazing experience here, the first bar in budapest I have been to that I genuinely felt welcome as a foreigner.. the girls , Eni and Kate were so kind and full of smiles and great drink recommendations! I will definitely make this my weekly stop! Just the best

Marcela Jaramillo Murcia: Awful experience. Rude waitress and she was even lying about the food available. She pretended not to understand English and they charged SUPER expenses service fee when the attention is super bad. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Avoid this kind of places.

Eric Kowalewski: I loved this place while I was in Budapest. Definitely a party hostel, so it is pretty loud at night, but the staff was very nice especially the front desk worker Camilla!
