Karolina Tóth: Honestly, been here like 7 years ago and now. Cocktails are still cheap, but you get what you pay for. Staff is friendly, but I actually got a moldy orange on top of one of my cocktails today and that was no fun.

Benedek Erős: Service is great and the staff is kind, patient and fast. The place is pretty small, but offers both indoor and outdoor tables to drink your beverages at. There a table soccer machine on the top floor, works with 100 HUF coins if I recall correctly. Prices are moderate, and the place is called shot because they offer a wide variety of shots, which all cost 200 HUF individually, or less if bought in a special offer/bundle. Overall a great place, just wish it had more room.

Karsai Csaba: The terrace was nice and the bartenders were kind, too. We felt very well for a while. On the other hand we felt awkward when we were asked to squize ourselves around 2 50cm x 50cm tables, while it was 8 of us drinking and consuming and the terrace was barely empty. Not a very nice business policy. Actually they chased us away.
Mosel Tov: Racist, rude and hostile staff. Check the Tripadvisor ratings and you will see what this bar REALLY is. Bartender was rude and other bartender didn't serve customers as she was too busy checking her private phone constantly. I asked for a different drink than on the menu and got a racially insulting sarcastic answer about my choice in drinks... I do not care to comment it further as I felt ashamed for the bartender. To be honest, I would NOT trust the review of anyone of these "local guides" who give 4 stars and write obvious things like "you can get drinks here". I would suspect they are trolling.

OMER: Absolutely wonderful! Mysterious ruins pub offering multiple bars inside. It’s huge..you could dance drink or chill. The place offers different atmosphere in various rooms. There are some funny decorative details as well. Quite popular amongst tourist especially Friday and Saturday nights.
Mick C: Love coming here, visited on both my trips to Budapest. Had waited 6 years to visit and it was better than I'd imagined. Drinks are quite expensive but it's worth it for the experience. Daytime is cool for looking around and exploring the place in relative peace and nighttime is fun for the overall vibes, experiencing it in full swing! Definitely worth a stop, even if just for one drink.
Daniel Hermes: Absolutely loved it! It's huge! There are like 10 bars inside, each room has a different vibe. You can dance, but also relax and just a drink. Some areas were quite full when we there, but there's always a space somewhere in here. If there would be more places like this, I'd definitely go out more!
Anastassia Moralieva: Nice atmosphere and vibe , you can chill if you go during the day as we did in June. On Friday evening there was a huge line outside of at least 100 people waiting to enter. Some of the bars were not open on Saturday noon so didn’t have a great experience to have a good drink there - just grab a lemonade. A lot of tourists are going and in the evening and I guess it’s overcrowded then.
Anna Rowe: So much fun!! We did a bar crawl through the ruin bars, and it was a blast. This bar had so much going on, every room and nook at a theme. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was all super friendly. We worked our way throughout the bar, and could’ve easily spent more time there!

Era Chaudhary: Great pub in ruins. It is a HUGE place! Unfortunately, I went solo and had no company to chill there and party, so it was a bit dull for me. Overall, I saw a lot of young crowd, groups of friends, drinking all the way across! There was no food in the place! Rightfully, so! It is a pure drinking place! The drinks were decently priced.
Y M: Really fun ruin bar but if you want a quiet place to chill this is probably not for you. When we were there in the afternoon, there were a load of people singing badly super loudly so it was quite annoying. The bar vibe is cool though so if you happen to go in non busy times maybe it would be a better experience. Drinks are in the more expensive side for local bars but not unaffordable
khushi Navdiwala: I can say that it’s fun time to go there . When I reached there with my bf we saw it was long queue out side of this bar but I was worth to wait for it bar. We had amazing time there. They have 2 floors and plenty of different rooms where you can chill with your friends. So many antique things are inside , for me bathtub was attraction 😅😅I had plenty of pictures there.
Helena Pynte: Be prepared to give your eyes a treat. You’ll be scanning every room and bar for funny, quirky and weird stuff. Loved it here! And to the contrary of what I’ve read online, the staff is in fact very friendly. The bartender even let us taste some wines before ordering.

Brooke Cameron: Lovely locals bar with super friendly staff who enjoyed speaking with us in English, especially the young lad who was very helpful and told us about events happening there between September and may. Played some 8 ball pool which was 850HUF for an hour which you cannot complain about, with cheap drinks. Will definitely return on my next trip to Budapest.

Nagy Gabor: I really like the fact that the staff was very friendly. They didn’t show any sign of being burned out or having enough of guests. They do seem to love what they do. Loved the music and the style! Be prepared for Elvis, Elvis and even more Elvis looking at you from the walls. Also good to note that it’s karaoke night on Thursdays. There are pool tables that are free to use if you get yourself a beer. Quality isn’t very good (the balls can do quite a curve sometimes) but it’s okay to have a good time with. Loved the atmosphere, the staff and had a good time. Definitely would recommend! :)

Franklin C: Really odd and quirky 1950s/Elvis-themed bar. The owner is a lovely fellow. There are confederate flags and pictures of Elvis all over the place, but I don't think the Confederate flags are meant to be offensive, I think it's just part of the theme. The cocktails are very good and you can play billiards in the basement for free.

GreekPixel GamingTeam: Great experience with friends, the cheap drinks definitely helped too, wished the shots weren't lukewarm but it's only a minor complaint. The staff were very friendly too, spoke English which made this super easy, especially after a couple of drinks.

Patron99: Not the worst PLACE I know (pun intended) but the music is mostly not great so It's not my personal favourite. The shots are cheap, but not really good, some folks have mild stomach ache from them.Anyway, if you're young or even a student I think you will have a great time, the bartenders sometimes feel flairy and they work fast, so feel free to order hundreds of shots. Also book your table, or there is a chance that you won't a table to sit with your friends.
Luciano Dublino: Hi There!! When we walked in, upstairs was like 10 degrees more than downstairs, tables were really really sticky and dirty, and the bartender weren't very friendly when buying drinks. Other than that, prices were really really good, cool atmosphere as well.

Till Beck: The price is good. Some drinks are not tasting like they should taste like (to sweet) but overall tasting good. It smelled a little bad because of spilled alcohol and the stairs to the toilet was a bit sticky. Idk why but they closed upstairs what I didn't understand because the bar was full.
Laszlo Balint: It is a great bar to have a late drink on weekdays as they are open until 2am every day. The music isn't too loud so you can still have a conversation if that's what you prefer. The staff was super nice and their prices are surprisingly low. Will surely come back here.

Justin Morais de Almeida: Nobody did attend us, had to order by ourselves. I think we ordered something that was not on the card(Cuba Libre), paid around 6500 FT for two cuba libre. In addition, they told us that these Cuba Libre consisted of double shots. However, it was not even a single shot. I recommend that you avoid this bar. Big scam.
Zsolt Székely: It’s a special place in my oppinion. Loved our time there. Staff is super friendly, shots are well thought out.
Bálint Kovács: Amazing bar with amazing people, I like spend my time in this place. Thanks for the nice cocktails.
Vilmos Tisza: Cool place specialised for shots and coctails. It is a regular stop for multiple local pub crawl events. Nice staff, magnificent drinks.

Antoine Zermati: Worst bar in Budapest? We went there thinking it was a typical Chupito, expecting 300 kind of shots, but it was nothing like it. The choice is actually very limited and most of the alcool is unavailable. We ordered B52 shots and the first waiter told us he missed the firing alcool. Seeing Cointreau behind him, I told him the shot was made with it. He asked his female colleague and she was THE RUDEST barmaid I have ever seen. She basically told us it won't work while we always did it like that, with a very condescending voice. Then we asked for a shot of her choice, she spilled the whole drink on the bar, the shot was minus average, and she YELLED at us to blow the flame out because she had lit all the shots instead of the eight we asked for. We decided to leave this place immediately after, but not before she yelled once again at my friend paying. RUN FROM THIS BAR, nothing like a Chupito and the worst customer service in Budapest.
Adrien Raoul Duval: So disapointing...I highly recommend you avoid this bar. The Barmaid was so unpleasant and rude, it basically ruined our night. (Plus they don't know how to make their shots : no cointreau in their b52) I can't help wondering why you would chose to work in a shotbar if you're such a moodkiller... If you are reading this, please change your behaviour, this is not a way to treat your clients. They come in your bar to have fun not to be shout at. And it does not look like it s just that you had a bad day since I can see you have a lot of bad reviews. So please work on it.
Erwan Ferriere: Some of the staff were quite decent but one of the waitresses was very unpleasant. Not as many shots as you can find in the other Chupito worldwide. The shots were pretty good.
Gareth Swallow: We went in on a quiet night with only a couple of other people. Had a long island iced tea which was really nice! Staff were friendly and the cocktail waiter was VERY easy on the eye ;) would go here again if just to take in the view! ;). The decor was modern with a modern twist!
Andrew Seketa: Cool concept. Had a good time until I was served by the rudest bartender I have ever met. The female bartender on the night of valentines was absolutely awful. She was so rude when I asked about what was in a drink, way overcharged me and ruined my experience here. 5 stars without her terrible service.

Mia Lamprou: The ruin bars of Budapest have a great history! Amazingly stunning alternative spaces in abandoned buildings!!! Such a magnificent experience!You must visit this area! Its chaos and eclecticism has turned it into one of the world’s most famous bars as well!
Radivoj Putic: This was by far the best idea and concept of night club I've seen in the past. Place is huge with various people, beverages and music. Atmosphere can't be described nor displayed through videos or photos. You must go there and see it by yourself! Prices are great too.
Marina Camillozzi: Please visit this place you will really enjoy. The atmosphere is amazing and it’s a really cool place to have some drinks and some fun. The ruin pub is something like different and I really recommend.

Sarmizia Fetcu: A huge wow!!! A very hippie atmosphere in the heart of jewish quarter. I liked the spirit of this place, totally nonconformist. You can find in here everything you want: wine, beer, art graphitti, people from all around the world and street food just beside. Is a must on your list with places to visit in Budapest.

Adrien V: Very nice place. You can drink, or eat. The street bars each have their own styles with and different lighting colors. It's nice to walk back and forth. There is also an arcade room, where I forgot to take pictures because I was so busy playing. It is very cheap, for exemple : You can play pool for 400 HUF ( around 1€/ 1$). You can play air hockey for 200 HUF ( around 0.5€/ 0.5$).
Matt Truslove (T33LOVE): Great experience, every room has such character, cheap drinks, even though it was busy, the atmosphere is great. If you are going on the night time, I'd suggest getting there a bit earlier as the queue is a bit crazy

Konstanty Keda: Great atmosphere, music is very very good (Rock and Metal) and importantly not loud, so you can have conversations along good local and imported beer. You can also have hot wine and other non-beer drinks

Billy Jackson: Clean and many drink options. I’m more of a metal person, but enjoyed the music. So far it has been classic heavy metal, power metal, fantasy metal. The only disappointment has been the female bar tender. Not friendly or welcoming at all. I ordered two draft beers and you would have thought I asked for the most difficult drink in the world. I speak English and couldn’t help but think she was anti-English/British/Canadian/American. This was a major turn off. Finished my beer and left. As a metal journalist that writes for several metal websites I’ll be sure to mention my experience of this bar in my upcoming metal bars of Europe article. Going to head to BlastBeat Bar which I hear is friendly and livelier!!!

Miklós Szabó: Best cocktail bar with an intimate atmosphere in the city center, serving great artisan cocktails. Highly recommend the Rabbit Hole, the Last King of Scotland, and the Punch. Absolutely amazing!
Aivaras Strigauskas: Small, cozy, and serves some really great drinks.We went there Monday evening and there weren't a lot of people, but we had fun nevertheless. The bar is well stocked and there are plenty of different cocktails to choose from. You are also welcome to ask for advice on what to drink or an alternate drink.
Tomaso Mainardi: WOW!! Their cocktails are on another level! So good you can't believe it! Friendly & professional bartenders, cozy atmosphere. Don't miss a stop at this bar!

Jack Proctor: If I could leave more than 5 stars I would! Best place I’ve ever been to for cocktails. Service was exceptional. Bartenders really know what they are doing, I came here with a bartender and she was impressed by all she saw! The staff made us feel at home (even though we were both from the UK). They all spoke their best English to us and even helped us learn some basic Hungarian such as “thank you”. Made us feel to welcome that we came two nights in a row! Can’t wait to revisit when I come to this amazing city again :)
Costas Fandeos: An excellent bar!! Amazing cocktails, the menu describing them is particularly well done. You get a description of the inspiration of that cocktail, along with the alcohol content and whether it is sweet, refreshing etc. A very wide selection of cocktails and drinks in general in a beautiful place with great ambience. One of the best in Budapest, definitely worth visiting!
Anna Maria: A must visit if you're in Budapest. The quality of the drinks was amazing, the service was so friendly and welcoming. We sat at the bar and had the best time. Before we even sat down we had two glasses of water and a free side of popcorn served out before we ordered. What an absolutely wonderful team and worth every penny.

A B: The cocktails are gorgeous. Number one place if you want spirits/cocktails. Excellent service, but book a place in advance as it can be quite crowded. Ordered Tchaikovsky cocktail and was really surprised. Reminds me of the Alchemist bars in the UK.
Callum Smyth: A really lovely cocktail bar, fantastic service from the moment you walk through the door. If you're in Budapest then 100% come and visit here, huge variety of spirits and so many classic cocktails as well as their own creations. Loved it!
Lilla Kertész: My favourite cocktail Bar in Budapest. A year ago I could go to their “Old Fashioned Week” and I could taste their Ginger old fashioned cocktail. It was amazing! Mark T: Honestly the best service we've had the whole time we've been here, he actually wanted to know how we were and what we were going to do within the city. He offered us local shots and beers, to which we accepted, the locals wanted us to go to the after-party but sadly we couldn't.

Even: You know when you visit some place and suddenly feel at home? That's how I feel about BlastBeat Bar. Not only do they play proper music (thrash metal while I was there) but they've also got Czech draught beer (Prazdroj & Kozel) as well as some local variants. The owner (I presume he was the owner) is really nice and friendly, and you'll definitely feel welcome here. I couldn't stay for long this time, but I will return the next time I'm in Budapest. Card payments accepted, easily accessible on foot and public transport from the market hall and surrounding areas.
Peter Withers: Awesome metal bar just outside the city centre. The music is at the heavier end of the scale - think Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death - so won't be to everyone's taste, but the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Excellent service, good range of drinks, and decent prices. A hidden gem!
Harrington Sauer: A true metal pub. Good music (they'll play requests) and great crowd of friendly people in there. Bartenders English isn't the best, but theyre nice also.

Carrie Ann Gibb: The best start to my holiday. Made my first day really special and very memorable. The staff are just so lovely and welcoming. The goulash is phenomenal and very filling. I'll never forget this. Thank you so much.
Matthew Richardson: Great ruin bar, not the famous one (apparently), but this one was much less touristy and it seemed more authentic. Although I didn't go to the famous one as the queue was a mile long. Food was good, bar staff attentive and the atmosphere was great.

Roopinder Tara: Best ruin bar! Unlike most, has a varied food menu so you don’t have to drink yourself silly by not eating. The grilled sausage is at least a foot long and delicious. The bruschetta is light and fresh, Hungarian style though.

Savannah Murray: Saturday night visit. Every single table was reserved and the bar line was very long. Luckily grabbed the only 2 bar stools to enjoy a few drinks at. Super dope metal bar with horror decor. Viking vibes too.
Sophie S: I can imagine my teenage room would look similar to this if my parents had given me free-range to decorate it. Weird, strange, a bit gimmicky. Not your typical touristy place. Good if you want to get away from the crowded bars. Drinks were decent and cheap.

Gergely Hill: If you are looking for a bit strange, weird, horror-y, gimmicky place, this is your bar. Cheap drink options, super friendly staff. (shout-out for the purplish haired lady for triple checking if she heard right what we wanted to order!!) and a very nice atmoshphere. The only downside is that there is no air-con inside, and the place gets humid and hot in a few hours.
Lucka Suchanova: visited this amazing place back in september. The atmosphere was great , paintongs and decorations all over the place, names of the drinks were based on true movies and they were also great! beer very good too. Prices very cheap, totally recommend to anyone staying in Budapest to at least stop by for one drink.

Assaf Liran: Huge complex with 7 different floors for dancing different type of music. Free entry which is always welcome, decor is nice. Music starts at 22:00 but it's open early for you want to have drinks with low volume music, kind like of a bar. The drinks come with reusable cup so you need to bring it back to the bar every time you want new drink. When you finished your party and go you return the cup and get your euro back. The real party will start around 23:00, this is when the complex is full on Saturdays.
UmesH Bhujel Official7: Best location for chill out, No entry fee!! you have option to choose different bar 3-4 (2 more were closed) with different DJ’s Music taste. Overall. This place was perfect for refreshment!!

I really enjoyed the techno room, the rest were ok I guess. Expensive drinks though. It would be great if the security team could do some check at the door (age etc) since there are a lot of random people and jerk clients!
Livnat Liran: A disco consisting of several different rooms. In one there was a live performance, in the other black music, in the third room there was house music and there was also a smoking area. Less fun that the rooms are not full and then there is no atmosphere. The bar uses a nice idea of a cycle. You get back 3 shekels if you return the glass to the bar. This way you do not use disposable utensils and preserve the environment. A nice place
Udit Mehta: A great place to hang-out with your friends. A very good club for the tourist, people are very friendly. It is build up in 5 floors with separate themes and music. Can easily spend 3-4 hours. Entry Fee - NIL The only drawback is sometimes it can be too crowdy and you won't be able to show your dance moves :-p

Jacek Szymański: Definitely my favorite club in Budapest!! There is a lot of rooms to dance and places to hang out so you won’t feel bored at any time being there. There is also a lot of foreigners and the music is really loud and good. There is no entry fee, unless they have changed that sometime recently.

Charles B: Full Review: One of the best night clubs I’ve ever been to. No issues with security, if anything they were friendly and helpful. Left and got back in at least 4 times without a problem. Drinks only take a minute and there are lots of bars if some are busy. Music is great on most floors but the real rave is in the tunnel / basement with a talented techno / EDM DJ who I’m dying to know the name of. People are super friendly and it feels very safe. If you’re travelling to Budapest and want to go to the best club in town that is FREE, look no further. It is an amazing night out!

Whilst we was walking to the different bars, Jay our guide gave us an insight of Budapest and places where we should definitely go. The power hour was 100% worth the money if your a big drinker like us! Zach J.: I had a geat time out and a friendly tour guide! The only thing of note would be the choice of shots at every bar - not everyone can do vodka everytime. That being said, I was more than happy to take those shots if people couldn't finish them 😉 The crowd size was a bit small (a group of five) BUT it's also January and just after New Year's so that's understandable. If you do want to do this, I'd recommend doing so in the high season (summer) when more tourists will be in the city.
