The food was to die for! The guy behind the counter was incredibly nice to us and polite. When he heard that i only speak English he immediately switched to English to explain the dishes. The syrups that they have are delicious. I loved the place and I'll be going there again when i visit Budapest. I had the gypsy pork chimney cake and the white chocolate one.

If you have already had the “traditional” kurtoskalacs, why not level it up and have it filled with savoury (stew / burger / juicy Lucy style) or sweet (Nutella / white chocolate / coffee cream) filling? It is a very nice idea and it most definitely works! Also, they have some regular items but they are constantly bringing back old favourites / introducing new items. Exciting stuff!

Awesome food and service. We ordered a thanksgiving turkey sandwich and pork with mushrooms and they were a delight. We have felt embraced and hugged! The owner is the absolute kindest and also recommended the sweet with walnut cream with apple jam. Absolutely delicious!

EN: We bake the chimney cakes on the spot each day, but only some special dishes (e.g. the lasagna) guarantee the cakes to be hot when served. Most savoury toppings are served hot though, and most sweet creams are cold.

EN: Our dishes normally take about 5-10 minutes to be prepared.

Q: Do you speak languages other than Hungarian? // Külföldi vendéggel érkezem, tudtok neki segíteni választani?

EN: Yes, we all speak English, and some of us speak German or other languages, so we will definitely do our best to tell you all about us in a familiar language.

EN: No, unfortunately, our kitchen is too small to safely serve gluten or lactose-free dishes. You can choose to drink your coffee with lactose-free milk though.
