Black Swan Budapest: what do users think?

Pablo Malkoes: I’ve been leaving in Budapest for 4 years and I don’t know how I didn’t come here before. This place is like a snow ball effect, every minute everything keeps getting better and better. The service from the guys is amazing, the cocktails 10/10 but the food? The food is a 100/10! The chef Jesse came out to explain how the dishes were made, and how the combination of ingredients were made to create those amazing flavours! Thank you all guys, keep up the amazing job!

Gloria Li: A very classy cocktail bar with very reasonable price. It’s small, but the decor make you like you entered a different era. Friendly staff make the experience even better. PS: ring the bell only once even they take longer to answer! The entire bar can hear it!

Sara T: Do you like cocktails, this is the place to be. Tell them what you like and not. And they make a cocktail exactly how you would have wanted it, if you knew this was an option. And while your taste buds are more than happy, the servings are beautifully served for eye perfection. We will be back. Remember to make a reservation!

Artemis Dim: When in Budapest, visit this place absolutely! Loved the cocktails and the atmosphere! Bartenders really know what they are doing Make sure to make a reservation before you go!

Szuk Fanni: If you are a cocktail aficionado then this place has to be on your list! Cocktails are amazing - such effort and artistry has been put into them. The staff are lovely and friendly. They make u feel welcome and provide you with an amazing experience! Highly recommended!

Tamás Major: Great atmosphere and great cocktails. Starting from the classics, through classics with a new twist all the way to exotic new cocktails you can find everything. The staff is super helpful and attentive, always telling you the story and tastes behind a specific cocktail. For Budapest prices, it’s a bit on the high end, but worth every last forint!

Karthik Srinivasan: Hidden gem, had a great time with a variety of cocktails. The ambience was great and the guys who work there explained a lot about the drinks and their origin. If you are in the lookout for an unique set of cocktails, this is just the place. Also, the warm whiskey based cocktail is simply a must try!

Esther Kooistra: We love this place! Very original cocktails and friendly staff. Make sure to make a reservation before 😊

GoodSpirit Whisky & Cocktail Bar: what do users think?

Jack Proctor: If I could leave more than 5 stars I would! Best place I’ve ever been to for cocktails. Service was exceptional. Bartenders really know what they are doing, I came here with a bartender and she was impressed by all she saw! The staff made us feel at home (even though we were both from the UK). They all spoke their best English to us and even helped us learn some basic Hungarian such as “thank you”. Made us feel to welcome that we came two nights in a row! Can’t wait to revisit when I come to this amazing city again :)

Costas Fandeos: An excellent bar!! Amazing cocktails, the menu describing them is particularly well done. You get a description of the inspiration of that cocktail, along with the alcohol content and whether it is sweet, refreshing etc. A very wide selection of cocktails and drinks in general in a beautiful place with great ambience. One of the best in Budapest, definitely worth visiting!

Tomás Silva Queiroga: Very good bar to try out whisky from different regions of the world. Great variety. Their cocktails offer are also very good. For a group of 4, it is perfect. They speak English and take cards.

Malin L: More pricey than the average bars in Budapest but really worth it!The drinks are excellent at the staff so friendly.Really recommend this place if you wish to have nice drinks!

Zita Zsengellér: Amazing cocktails! We especially enjoyed the melon flavoured one with ham on top ‘Jókai Mór’! It was truly an awesome experience to try out so many falvourful and exciting cocktail!

A B: The cocktails are gorgeous. Number one place if you want spirits/cocktails. Excellent service, but book a place in advance as it can be quite crowded. Ordered Tchaikovsky cocktail and was really surprised. Reminds me of the Alchemist bars in the UK.

Lilla Kertész: My favourite cocktail Bar in Budapest. A year ago I could go to their “Old Fashioned Week” and I could taste their Ginger old fashioned cocktail. It was amazing! I adore the interior, such as the London phone booth toilet and the wine barrel wash basin. Huge selection of great cocktails and spirits. 🥃

Warm Up Cocktail bar: what do users think?

Amal Mensi: Absolutely a must-try! The idea behind this bar is incredible/ they don’t have a menu so the mixologist servers you personalized/molecular cocktails based on your preferences. Now let’s talk about the staff: they are friendly, nice, polite and they spoke perfect English. It is a bit pricey but it’s worth the money.

Leonie: Went there without any expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. The server was very friendly and the overall atmosphere was perfect. They did not have a menu to order from, instead you could tell the server your preferences so you would get a personalized cocktail. The cocktails exceeded our expectations and only costed 9€ each which is not a lot considering the great quality and location. We also got some free peanuts and cucumber water with our drinks which I thought was very kind. Overall, we had a great experience and I would recommend everyone, who is looking for a fancier cocktail bar that is still affordable, to come here.

Aliya Nurgali: Great place! Concept of the bar feels personal, like you solved the puzzle of our tastes. We came as a group of four, all with different taste for flavors and yet all four of us were happy with our drinks! The staff is amazing too! Refilling the water and just small talk, great service! The bartender is an angel! Severus Snape of cocktails! (My friend was about to propose to drink her cocktail everyday)) All in all, 5 stars! Well-deserved.

Jack Ryan: Awesome place for cocktails, unique concept, very hospitable. Would come here again. Staff speak very good English. Some of the best cocktails I’ve had in not just Budapest but all of Europe

Bar pharma: what do users think?

Miklós Szabó: Best cocktail bar with an intimate atmosphere in the city center, serving great artisan cocktails. Highly recommend the Rabbit Hole, the Last King of Scotland, and the Punch. Absolutely amazing!

Tomas Sutas: Very little but very good. These guys sure know their cocktails. Masters of their craft this place is a must go if you like a good drink!

Geoffrey Rolin Jacquemyns: Best cocktails I have tried in a long time and the guy Richard is very nice as well

Lada Sotirova: A wonderful venue with super friendly service and an outrageously good menu. The cocktails are unique, beautifully balanced and delicious; you can really tell this place is a labour of love and it was such a treat to try some of their menu. Köszönm !! Will definitely come back next time we visit your beautiful city!

Marcus Williams: This is a fantastic bar with a unique and tasty menu. The owner was accommodating, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to speak to. The drinks are very varied and all were so good. Please visit this bar ASAP. The owner speaks perfect English.

Sara T: So interesting cocktails. Some of them sounds familiar, but then there is this twist. But no worries, they are SO delicious. Well made cocktails in a very small place. But worth the trouble to get a spot! 😍

Jay Evans: High end cocktail bar. Bartenders take their time to make perfect drinks, hygienically tasting along the way and making adjustments. A must visit if you are a cocktail lover.

Thinus Naude: Nice small little cocktail bar with friendly staff and a chill vibe. The cocktails were good and made really well. If you are in the area pop in for a drink. They dont accept card so you need to pay cash or via Revolout bank app. It was around 60 euros for 4 cocktails

Ruin Bars Budapest: what do users think?

Mia Lamprou: The ruin bars of Budapest have a great history! Amazingly stunning alternative spaces in abandoned buildings!!! Such a magnificent experience! You must visit this area! Its chaos and eclecticism has turned it into one of the world’s most famous bars as well!

Marina Camillozzi: Please visit this place you will really enjoy. The atmosphere is amazing and it’s a really cool place to have some drinks and some fun. The ruin pub is something like different and I really recommend.

macarena Ramírez: picturesque place. good way to reborn a space with so much sadness. It has various environments. very good cocktails. I did not like the glass of red wine

Suzanne: Fun place to visit and have a beer or two! We tried the ipa, which we liked being ipa fans. Good place for people watching! There was a guy playing American tunes on his guitar which was entertaining. There is also a small market that sold fruits, vegetables, homemade pastries and souvenirs.

Anna Rowe: So much fun!! We did a bar crawl through the ruin bars, and it was a blast. All the bars had so much going on, every room and nook at a theme. I loved the atmosphere and the staff was all super friendly. We worked our way throughout the bar, and could’ve easily spent more time there! Everyone we met was from all over and so nice to hang out with!

Sarmizia Fetcu: A huge wow!!! A very hippie atmosphere in the heart of jewish quarter. I liked the spirit of this place, totally nonconformist. You can find in here everything you want: wine, beer, art graphitti, people from all around the world and street food just beside. Is a must on your list with places to visit in Budapest.

quadfly360: Really something different. Loved to walk around and explore each room. Maybe packed at night but great to see early in day for the photos!

Liquid Rock: what do users think?

Konstanty Keda: Great atmosphere, music is very very good (Rock and Metal) and importantly not loud, so you can have conversations along good local and imported beer. You can also have hot wine and other non-beer drinks

Billy Jackson: Clean and many drink options. I’m more of a metal person, but enjoyed the music. So far it has been classic heavy metal, power metal, fantasy metal. The only disappointment has been the female bar tender. Not friendly or welcoming at all. I ordered two draft beers and you would have thought I asked for the most difficult drink in the world. I speak English and couldn’t help but think she was anti-English/British/Canadian/American. This was a major turn off. Finished my beer and left. As a metal journalist that writes for several metal websites I’ll be sure to mention my experience of this bar in my upcoming metal bars of Europe article. Going to head to BlastBeat Bar which I hear is friendly and livelier!!!

Miguel Morales: Nice rock and metal place. Not loud enough to have a conversation. First time I enter a place in which you can listen to metal and enjoy a conversation without shouting. Great! Prices are ok.

Jason Corr: Staff were friendly. In a good place in town. Only thing is they don’t do draft juice hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Typical dive bar but it’s brilliant

malcolm murphy: Great pub with great selection of drinks. All your favourite rock bands adventures into alcohol tipples.

Tamás: This is a good place to hang out if you like metal. There is a lot of variety (except the supply is questionable) of brews.

Nikoleta-Dimitra Savvidou: Great atmosphere, wide selection of beers. I wish the staff was a bit more polite

Trang Vo Phan Hoang: Nice bar, very good price and good location. Friendly staffs. Good music but a little bit quiet for me and my husband. Strongly recommended

Deadrop Furman: Fantastic atmosphere and decor, great prices and drinks, my only regret is that i dudnt find this sooner and i have to leave without seeing the place on a peak night

Rumpus Tiki Bar: what do users think?

Brigitta Molnár: The vibe of the place couldn’t be any better. Nice selection of cocktails, and the presentation is obviously amazing. The staff is very good at helping you pick the best cocktail for you. The only down side is that it’s a very popular place, so you MUST have a reservation to get in, and as soon as your reservation is over, you have to leave. But overall, it’s a really nice place with affordable prices.

World In My Hands: Loved this place! It was a little expensive with cocktails starting at around 10€ but they are served in interesting mugs in different shapes and in a treasure box. Recommend booking a table. Friendly staff who is happy to recommend drinks. Large menu to choose from. Drinks are rated with skulls from 1-5 which show how strong they are. Worth a night out and nachos are a good snack on the side.

Ketan Sikotra: HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Best place to have cocktails! The vibe was amazing and the service was immaculate. You have to reserve a table, and we had an hour slot and were then moved to bar and it was incredible to see the bartenders making the drinks!

Em Denny: Such a cool atmosphere and the cocktails are presented in the most fantastic way. Really friendly staff, great fast service. The menu is interesting and fun with a large and varied cocktail selection. Usually you would need to book to guarantee a table but we got lucky and were seated anyway.

Amal Tessa: Love love love this place! It’s such a Tiki vibe, interior is exciting with nice decor. The cocktail menu?! Where do I start! I loved the strength meter, the key meter for sour to sweet drinks. I went for the Viva Los Muertos, the strongest drink on the menu and it definitely served its purpose I tell you that much. Would definitely recommend.

Anastasiya Damaratskaya: Had amazing experience there, big variety of cocktails, you can choose whether you want a sweet/ spicy or sour cocktail, interesting presentation of them in these special cups and exciting atmosphere in the bar, full of cool music. Prices are totally fine. Make sure to reserve a table to be able to come in.

Ben Mutimba: One of the best cocktail bars I have been too. I loved the vibe inside the bar and its coziness. Also the cocktails were very good and the presentation amazing. I highly recommend when you visit Budapest.

Tuk Tuk Bar: what do users think?

Slava F: Perfect bar. Perfect service. You haven’t seen such a unique menu design in your life. All the drinks are illustrated on an old-school record. Each drink is named after a different song. You got the cocktail ingredients listed and their prices. I ordered a cocktail named “I Can’t Feel My Face”. It had Tequila inside which supposed to be smoky flavored, but surprisingly it was too spicy for me to drink. Nevertheless, the vibe of this place is excellent, and service was fast. Waiter is very attentive. When I got the bill, noticed that he removed my cocktail from it, since I barely touched my drink. Nice gesture from his side. This is how you treat your customers!

Anthony Wyman: The best cocktails I’ve had!! Not just in Budapest, ever!! The bad romance is the best spice cocktail I’ve ever tried. Had a few more on the menu and they all absolutely slap!! Sooo good, great service, friendly helpful bar staff and an intimate vibe

David Law: Great little hole in the wall spot for cocktails. No food. Their menu consists of 12 cocktails (one named for each sign of the Chinese zodiac). Presentation was great. It’s small so you may not get in on a busy night (we didn’t on our first try).

Mekintoš Larja: This is a very fancy bar where you are treated exceptionally good. Awesome huge coctails served like no where in town. Rather experiensive but would definitely recommend.

Annabel Jones: Absolutely wonderful. Me and my partner walked in about an hour before closing time, waited at the door for a minute before being seated. They brought over refreshments (cucumber water, olives, peanuts and dates) and gave us the menus which where in the shape of vinyls in a vinyl sleeve. We ordered a couple cocktails and they were amazing. We then ordered the Namaste each as it had been created for an event and safe to say it was beautifully light and refreshing. The staff are wonderful and it’s nice to go somewhere that has a nice air of professionalism. The decor was fun and the atmosphere was relaxed. All in all a wonderful experience 💖

Christos Nitsis: Cosy little bar with friendly bar staff. I tried some of the signature cocktails and OMG… my favourite was the ‚Ariana Grande-Thank you next‘. Would definitely go back again.

Isabella Alexandrow: We loved it here! Had a great time and cocktails :)

Boutiq Bar: what do users think?

James Riggs: The Boutiq Bar is a must visit! We had two drinks, a pineapple drink (pineapple cup) and a s’mores drink! With that drink you are able to roast a marshmallow. The bartenders were very nice and very helpful. The bar is a very small and quaint place. I would make a reservation on their website to make sure you have a table because you wouldn’t want to miss this bar for a craft cocktail!

Iyedr: Great cocktail bar, excellent service and fantastic cocktails (both classics and signatures). The team welcomes you with a warm smile and is ready to answer any inquiries and questions you throw their way. Impeccable presentation and attention to detail. Decor and music are fun and interesting. A must!

Chloe H: We were recommended this bar by mixologists that we know and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed a few cocktails before we went out for dinner. We went very early so the bar didn’t have a buzz but I suspect that was due to the timing we needed to be there for. Would come back and would recommend to someone looking for a great cocktail in Budapest or a date night in Budapest.

Dominika Nosková: A good cocktail bar. The waiter made good recommendations. Nice staff, longer waiting times for the drinks. A very good 90’ playlist. Dis not like the red walls.

An Sm: Fantastic!! Some of the best cocktails I have ever had! Will definitely be on my list every time I visit Budapest. Remember to book as they fill up quickly after opening.

Wolfgang Meixner: Bar with stylish ambience. Many excellent cocktails with their own story, plus free popcorn and water. Reservation recommended - works out excellent via Google

Guy Yoffe: Very interesting and tasty cocktails. A good variety of cocktails. Beautiful serving and presentation. Be sure to book a seat.

Vitri Vit: One of the best cocktail bar in Budapest! They have menu but you could tell the waiter what kind of drinks that you would like to have and they Finn give you some suggestions!

Zuleykha Shirinova: They have various cocktails. Some are really fancy. Water and popcorn are served free of charge if you get a table. The atmosphere is great too. But reservation is a must. We stood 1 hour to get a seat finally. They also charge service fee.

Hotsy Totsy Budapest: what do users think?

Brent Duvall: Awesome little small bar. All staff was friendly. We did have to wait a little bit to sit down but the host worked hard to get us seated as quickly as possible. My only complaint was the bartender although not terribly busy was extremely slow to take our order and then get drinks out. However, the drinks were made perfection and very crafty.

Nikoleta Stefanova: Very special atmosphere with jazz music, kind waiters and tasty cocktails. Come here if you want to enjoy a good conversation in an intimate setting, listen to good tunes and drink quality and original alcohol beverages. I came here twice and I recommend it a lot.

Samantha de Bruin: Nice Bar with amazing drinks, super friendly staff and cozy ambience! For sure the drink is maybe a bit more expensive than in another bar but therefore you have quality and you should enjoy it. If you‘re looking for a bar to get drunk fast and cheap you‘re wrong here! In this bar it‘s all about the pleasure and the ambience.

taha: A hidden gem in Budapest. Didn’t expect this at all when we randomly walked in here. Great service and atmosphere. The fact that they make you whatever you want as long as they have the ingredients is really cool. I had a pisco sour and the missing nyan cat, both were delicious with the latter having a really interesting and smoky taste. There are more experimental crazy cocktails that I have yet to try. Definitely a new regular spot for us.

Vlada: A nice speakeasy in the heart of Budapest. It’s a tiny but very popular bar in the heart of Jewish district so I highly recommend to make a reservation as during the 2 hours we spent there we’ve seen lots of people being told they are full and that they can recommend another bar. The staff is great and very friendly, they seem nice to talk to and they know their stuff. The menu seems very small at first (even though they do have cocktails dedicated to vaccine types) but you can ask the waiter for a recommendation for something that’s not on the menu and they will definitely offer you a great option. The cocktails are nice, if not a bit too overpriced considering the service fee they add on top of the bill. Overall, I’d recommend to visit at least once for the experience with a classic speakeasy music.

Tami M.: Great place! Kind and attentive staff, perfect lighting for enjoying a good time while having cocktails! Went on the "Unsolved case files" and loved my cocktail, definitely coming back and recommending it!

Melinda Molnár: Good atmosphere CHEERING it up with good music, PROFESSIONAL bartenders, AMAZING staff! Take your time to discuss your need with the waiters: they will create the perfect cocktail MATCHING YOUR TASTE! Always having marvelous time!🤩

Brittany Stroud: One of the highlights of our trip! Craft cocktails were made with love and care. Do not pass this place up!

The bar: what do users think?

Patrick Scalise: Honestly, the worst service I’ve had in a long time. The place was nearly empty so we asked if the bar was closing or when it closed- the bartender responded “I don’t know” like we had offended him. I asked for a gin off the menu, his response was “No”. I asked him for gin recommendations and he was rude then brought me the wrong drink and then never came back.

dennis yew: Wonderful place, full selection of cocktails, Great service. Bartender us nice. Good trance music but not loud to death. Easy speaking. A MUST come place, worth trying.

Mindstrong “Ben” Man: Lovely drinks and atmosphere however very pricey considering you can get the same service and drink elsewhre for half the price

Henrik Olah: Amazing place with a very proffessional bartender. Lots of rare and cool drinks.

Kim Tex: Delicious cocktails and a lot of choices ! Clearly the best place in Budapest : the barman was really nice, customers are friendly and the music is not too loudly. I recommend it hardly

András Lux: A small bar in Ankert köz with good cocktails worth their price. Averages ones range from 1800-2200 HUF, with a few nearing (or in case of Flaming Lamborghini jumping over) the 3000 mark. There is a fine selection of whiskeys and other drinks as well. With eight seats at the bar, and a bit more at the walls there are not many places to sit. While usually not crowded, there is not much space remaining if it is. There is a single bartender serving the place. Service is usually excellent, if understandably hurried at peak times. It is recommended to visit during off-hours. Their own creations are good and it is safe to trust their recommendations.

Evelin Kovács: The best bar in town, Zoli is the kindest bartender. Quality drinks, good price!!!

Sarah Tursell: Tiny little place with the ability to make just about every single cocktail you could think of. Lots of classic cocktails, a little pricey and no real atmosphere.

ParaNoir Pub: what do users think?

Savannah Murray: Saturday night visit. Every single table was reserved and the bar line was very long. Luckily grabbed the only 2 bar stools to enjoy a few drinks at. Super dope metal bar with horror decor. Viking vibes too.

Sophie S: I can imagine my teenage room would look similar to this if my parents had given me free-range to decorate it. Weird, strange, a bit gimmicky. Not your typical touristy place. Good if you want to get away from the crowded bars. Drinks were decent and cheap.

Mary: Awesome place... Great music extremely cheep drink options. I really hope I get the chance to visit again.

Gergely Hill: If you are looking for a bit strange, weird, horror-y, gimmicky place, this is your bar. Cheap drink options, super friendly staff. (shout-out for the purplish haired lady for triple checking if she heard right what we wanted to order!!) and a very nice atmoshphere. The only downside is that there is no air-con inside, and the place gets humid and hot in a few hours.

Lucka Suchanova: visited this amazing place back in september. The atmosphere was great , paintongs and decorations all over the place, names of the drinks were based on true movies and they were also great! beer very good too. Prices very cheap, totally recommend to anyone staying in Budapest to at least stop by for one drink.

VASILIKI: I loved it there , nice metal music very cheap beer and overall awesome place to go enjoy your drink and relax ,very polite stuff and overall great experience.

Celia D.: Amazing interior, friendly bartender (despite the language barrier), prices are low, music is great. Only con is there were no cocktails available.

Alfie Proctor: Really unique horror themed bar providing rock music ambience. Cocktails all themed and very tasty. Price very reasonable for how strong the drinks are made

Peter Viktor Wagner (MrWagner): Amazing atmosphere and very nice environment. The entire palace is very creatively designed, the re-call of the movies is very impressive. People are surprisingly friendly, and the staff is also nice and professional. The toilets are clean and also the entire place. Prices are below average and they have common bar-food, so worth every penny, give it a try, you won’t regret. It’s a really great place for a small talk with your friends as well. Unfortunately, can’ be reached by wheelchair.

Lea Schindler: Very well-crafted cocktails (both signature and classic), attentive and friendly waiters. The espresso martini was the best I’ve had so far.

David Ronan: Amazing bar, very friendly staff. Very cool vibes. Cocktails are very unique and delicious.

Jana: There are several good points of this place: - we really liked the atmosphere - they have cosy seats - you get appetizers for the drinks - the palinca was very good I would give one star more if they had the margarita of last year. Unfortunately it is not possible to make an old cocktail.

Salvatore Bar: what do users think?

Lucyna Mikicka: Ok, nice service. Mojito was not the best but drinkable, pina colada was very good, and "something with the coffee" very tasty. Bit tired interior, also no toilet paper in ladies room. Overall, good for cheap drinks, music not loud so you can talk :)

Padmaka Mirihagalla: The lady at the bar has such a primitive service mentality. Music at the place is garbage . Not visiting again.

Gunzaya Mishig: According to experiences of two times, the service is awful, especially the old serviceman is rude and curses at young customers who asks for a menu. Completely discriminating of youngsters. It does not give a welcoming, fun-bar type of vibe. The atmosphere feels repressed, uncomfortable and non-friendly. Would never go there again.

Michał Lenartowicz: Well deserved 5 stars, good quality and prices 👌

Celaena: Best cocktails ever. 😻 We had table reservation and they let us sit down earlier too, staff was experienced and kind, service perfect. Coming back next time

Zsóka Kicsiny: Better then expected! Huge and modern design. No table service, music is loud around 7pm, you cannot talk anymore, the restroom is very cold.

Francisco Gonçalves: Good beer, nice atmosphere inside, great to go with grouops of friend. Not much food options but the pizzas are nice in Italian style. Many types of classical drinks and Hungarian Palinka. There is also an option to seat outside whivh is great on summer.
