Restaurante Fuego: what do users think?
Aaron Santa María
Aaron Santa María: Great restaurant along a hip street in Budapest. In general, the food was flavorful and everything was priced well. The chicken deserves praise for its tenderness. You also have to try their unique spicy blueberry sauce to accompany it. Lastly, the service was friendly and very fast—food was ready five minutes after ordering. Highly recommended!
Miklós Szabó
Miklós Szabó: Delicious chicken and fries, a very good atmosphere I the middle of the party disctrict. It is pricy compared to other similar places in Budapest. Their cheesecake I do not recommend.
Adnan Ilyas
Adnan Ilyas: Excellent service and great food. The seasoning on the chicken was great, home cooked potatoes were yummy and the chicken croquettes were out of this world… Absolutely loved it as I was struggling for food in Budapest.
Jesus Garcia Garcia (jesus_gg)
Jesus Garcia Garcia (jesus_gg): The food was delicious and the servers were very attentive. I recommend ordering the chicken and the duck. A curious fact about this restaurant is that it is of Spanish origin and most of the waiters speak Spanish. Recomiendo ir aquí si hablas español y quieres estar un rato como en casa sin hablar inglés o húngaro!
Agus PM
Agus PM: The duck, the chicken… wow what an amazing place at an insanely reasonable price. Make sure to order some of the appetizers since the potatoes, calamari, and croquetas are out of this world
Ivana Vasilj
Ivana Vasilj: Loved this Spanish restaurant, chicken and duck meat is very delicious and seasond well.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Emmi P.
Emmi P.: The food was good/standard. I found it overpriced. Their focus is definitely to cater tourists. The employees speak English and are friendly. I don’t think locals favor this place.
Johanne Tandy
Johanne Tandy: We came by this place on a whim and was not disappointed! Usually I find that chicken can be dry but there was no need for the extra sauces that we ordered (even though they were just as delicious). The chicken was absolutely lovely (the "breast" option on the menu was ⅔ of the chicken!) All of the food was lovely, service was efficient and friendly and the place had a lovely atmosphere - all plates were left clean.
Аizhan Мyrzaly
Аizhan Мyrzaly: Really bad experience, ordered duck breast and did not get any meat inside. So did not eat anything. Ordered mango lemonade and no taste of mango. Extremely costy for the money that gave. Bad service, so doesn’t worth to go.

Corcovado Brazilian Restaurant: what do users think?
Gabriela Krawczyk
Gabriela Krawczyk: First proper Brazilian restaurant in Budapest!!!! The staff is polite and friendly, they make sure to let you know any specials going on. The owners are amazing people as well. The food tastes so good and freshly homemade. I’m Brazilian and this really feels like a little piece of home away from home. Highly highly recommend this for any time of day, lunch or dinner. Can’t express enough how much I LOVED the food!!!!
Response: Thank you for your feedback and welcome back anytime, Gabriela! 💚💛 We are glad you enjoyed our place! 🏾
Arthur Alonso
Arthur Alonso: Super comfy atmosphere, gentle staff members, very traditional and original Brazilian food. The Caipirinha drink in the photo is particularly my favorite drink, made of lemonade and Brazilian Cachaça (something similar to palinka).Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Guilherme Heil Kinas
Guilherme Heil Kinas: Mostly people that will come here are Brazilians and tasted the brazilian food. For someone, who was already once in Brazil the food is actually bad for the price. The service was friendly, but extremely delayed. We mentioned that were short on time up on arrival, the waitress said it would be around 15-20 minutes (straight up lied). We waited about 50 minutes (so long we were able to go to the hotel get some stuff and come back). Three people attending 6 tables and no one at the kitchen basically, would go there again.
Response: Oi Guilherme! Muito obrigada pelo seu feedback! We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance and we’ll do better in the future. We are hardly working on it. Please feel free to reach out to my email: marcele@corcovadorestaurant.com with any further comments, concerns, or suggestions you wish to share. We would love to make things right if you give us another chance. Let’s keep in touch? Obrigada! Marcele Bacelar Kruljac Marketing Manager
Ingrid Menezes
Ingrid Menezes: All kinds of Brazilian food, it worth a visit. Polite staff and good beer
Response: Thank you, Ingrid!💛💚
Kaliia Ulanbekova
Kaliia Ulanbekova: The only good thing about this place is service. The guy and girl were so nice and welcoming. However, food that we ordered were so dissapointing and over priced. We felt bad that we paid this much for those food where rice was overcooked, solty, and dessert was frozen that we ended up eating ice in the middle part of cake. We were so dissapointed and we are not coming back eventhough we love brazilian food. I do not reccomend this place. Better to spend this amount of money for better food.
Response: Kaliia, thanks for sharing your feedback! We’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. It was an uncommon instance and we’ll do better in the future. Regarding prices it’s important to highlight that we work with Brazilian products which has a high impact in our prices as they are imported overseas.
André Belmudes Paiusco
André Belmudes Paiusco: We ordered caldinho de feijão, escondidinho de carne and strogonoff, coxinha and pão de queijo for starters. The food was good, seemed well prepared. However, our foreigners friends wanted more coxinha and it was over. Guarana was also over. Also the main courses took more than 1h to be served. Do not recommend if you are in a rush, hungry or want to sightsee on the same day.
Carlos Eduardo Manoel
Carlos Eduardo Manoel: Best Brazilian food in town. Great atmosphere and the staff is super nice! Really feels like a piece of Brazil in Budapest! Definitely recommended!
Response: Thank you for your kind words, Carlos! We are happy you enjoyed our place and we are waiting for you again soon!
Akhenaten Amenhotep
Akhenaten Amenhotep: Very nice place, great food prepared by kind Brasilian people.

La Movida Bar & Restaurant: what do users think?
Tomás Silva Queiroga
Tomás Silva Queiroga: Very good Mexican food place (not texmex). They mainly offer tacos (2 in one plate as individual) and tortillas (shareable). If in a group bigger than 4 or dining after 19h, I recommend booking a table. The waiters are friendly, speak English. They take cards.
Ya Shu
Ya Shu: Great place with atmosphere, tasty food, good cocktails and friendly service. We had tried half of the food and cocktail menu and everything was perfect! Tuna on nachos was the best and cevice was a bit missing some spice and did not stood for the price. The onmy downside for me was a longer waiting time to get the orders as the place was very busy from 7 p.m. till 10 p.m. on Sundays - you should reserve a table in advance.
Response: Thanks Ya Shu for your review! Glad that you liked our food and drinks :) we hope next time you dont have to wait!
Erin Mitchell
Erin Mitchell: The description in the overview says it best “bites”- because that’s basically all you get. The food is fairly tasty but the portion sizes are very very small for the price. After we “ate” here we had to go out and find a proper dinner. The atmosphere is nice and unlike others commenting we actually had very good service. If you are looking for a casual place to have a few overpriced drinks and tapas then this is the place for you!
Response: Hi Erin, I am sorry but we disagree with your opinion about the price / quantity ratio, we have the tacos dishes for around 2k/huf (2 tacos) and some other mains for 3-5k huf which are bigger than the tacos. And yes, I do not get full with 1 dish of tacos but I do not expect to have dinner or lunch for 2k huf. You can have dinner/lunch for 5-7k with starters, main and drinks, which is not expensive in today's Budapest.
Aurora Cady
Aurora Cady: The best, authentic salsa I’ve had in Europe! Being from LA and having lived in Mexico, it can be hard to find good Mexican food outside of North America. The tacos were really good, and I knew as soon as I saw totopos instead of “nachos” on the menu I was in good hands! Great vegan options! We will be back.
Paulina Martínez
Paulina Martínez: My favorite restaurant in Budapest. 🤤 I’ve tried the whole menu and everything is amazing! My personal favorite is the lamb and birria tacos. The personal is so welcoming and nice, and Not to mention that at night you can find the best Latin experience!! Excellent music and the best cocktails! 100% recommend
Oriana Fuguet
Oriana Fuguet: A Venezuelan girl finds herself a Venezuelan/latin restaurant in Budapest so I have to visit.Beautiful decor and vibe, amazing food and service! Needless to say, highly recommended. 🌴
Response: Many thanks Oriana, hope you visit us again soon!
sahel kapoor
sahel kapoor: Stay away from here! I was guest in this restaurant and rarely give 1 star reviews, this restaurant deserves it unfortunately. The atmosphere is okay and I liked it. The service was very very busy and couldn’t even see our signals that we need some assistance. The waiting time for the food was very long that day, it was approximately 30-40min to get our starters. The main dishes were acceptable from the taste but it wasn’t anything special. So far everything is fine for me. The same night I felt sick, I vomited all night because of a food poisoning from this particular restaurant. I strongly suggest not to go this restaurant if you wanna risk this! Hygiene should be always perfect and I can accept if the food or service is inappropriate, but this can’t be bad even one day!
Response: Hi Sahel, we have not had any other similar case. Our hygiene is as good as it can get. I would suggest that before accusing to consider that your sickness might have any other source or just a stomach virus. Hope you get well soon.
miklos legones
miklos legones: Service 10/10 the personal who works there are very lovely, after arriving at this place I was wondering if in Hungary is impossible to have a good service, but here it was amazing. Food 10/10 best tacos in Europe Cocktails 11/10

Araz Restaurant: what do users think?
Jess
Jess: We treated ourselves to a wonderful three-course lunch here which perhaps tasted even better knowing the fantastic value for money we were getting! We paid the equivalent of £10 each for 3 courses PLUS a glass of wine. I had the pork Milanese and it was superb, perfectly crispy with a delicious spaghetti underneath. My boyfriend could not stop going on about the orange tiramisu (so good he hardly let me have one bite!). The restaurant itself was also very elegantly decorated, our favourite meal of the trip by far.
Veronika Kuhrner
Veronika Kuhrner: Lovely lunch at Araz. My friend and I chose from the set lunch menu, which had vegetarian options too, the dishes were very tasty and beautifully presented and the lunch menu reasonably priced. The waiting staff were super professional and the perfectly cool temperature indoors provided respite from the heat outside. Highly recommended!

Václav Šojdel
Václav Šojdel: TOP. I really like this place. Very good lunch menu (2/3 courses) for very good money in the downtown, not far from ruin bars. It is rather place for business lunches. The interior is fancy. Food is delicious. High gastro concept. I was served by very young people, probably apprentices. Good luck!

monnicel
monnicel: Only had buffet breakfast but it was delicious and for a decent price, about 14 euros ( comparing with other cafes around Araz where an omlette is about 6-7 euros a a double espresso about 4 euro).
Response: Dear monnicel, Thank you so much for supporting us with your lovely feedback shared here, on Google. I am delighted that you have decided to take the rich buffet breakfast offer of our beloved Araz Restaurant. Thank you for appreciating the excellent value provided for the money. It is true, you can find lovely places in the neighborhood, but those are not all-you-can-eat buffets. Our kitchen prepares every morning many fresh warm options besides the wide cold food selection. Kiss Zsolt
Kiss Zsolt: If you are in Budapest and want to eat something really great then you need to visit Grundel. Probably it’s one of the greatest restaurants in Hungary. The service was on point. They are really paying attention to everything. They are also having live music that gives the place an extraordinary feeling. The food was one of the best that I have ever tried in Hungary. If you are having breakfast you really need to try Eggs Benedict. Really wonderful place to eat and really recommend it. The prices are also not that high.
Response: Dear Kiss Zsolt! thank you for taking the time to leave a wonderful review. We look forward to seeing you again at our The Most Famous Hungarian Restaurant. Your Gundel Cafe Patisserie Restaurant Team
Masha
Masha: The most delicious food I’ve eaten in Budapest so far. The prices are not too high, the sizes of the dishes are just perfect and the taste is mesmerizing. I really recommend to try the home lemonade (I really want to make one myself now). Also nearly every table is named after some popular person that ate there (Queen Elizabeth II, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Abba, etc.). 10/10
Response: Dear Masha, Thank you very much for giving us the highest rating, especially for writing about the reasonable prices and the quantity and quality of the food. We hope to see you again and that you will give our restaurant a good reputation. It was a pleasure to read your post. Best regards, Gundel's team
Bel
Bel: We had the signature Gundel Pancakes and award winning Somlo sponge cake with Gundel Coffee. All were great. If you are not into sweet stuff that much, best to share them. Make a reservation before coming as they are popular. Nice ambience and beautiful interiors. A recommended itinerary is to do Szechenyi Baths in the morning, Gundel Cafe for lunch and circus for after lunch activity. :)
Response: Dear Guest, Thank you for your time and kind words. We are delighted you enjoyed your experience. The Gundel Cafe Patisserie Restaurant team looks forward to welcoming you back! For more information: www.gundel.hu/en/
George Ennifer-Stanley
George Ennifer-Stanley: My first fine dining experience and it was truly magical. Attentive staff, delicious food and beautiful live music. The thought of fine dining was rather intimidating at first but the staff at Gundel made us feel like we belonged there.

Kata Budapest tour guide
Kata Budapest tour guide: Recently renovated super nice restaurant in the city park. Opened in the 19th century, long history, connected to Karoly Gundel’s name. Lovely dishes, tasty coffee, yummy cakes in an elegant atmosphere. Pleasant live music all day long. Open from 9 in the morning. Right next to the Zoo and Heroes square 😉
Response: Dear Kata, thank you for your review. We are delighted, that you were happy with us. We are looking forward to welcoming you again soon in our restaurant. Stay safe and healthy. Best regards, Your Gundel Cafe Patisserie Restaurant Team

Noy Erez
Noy Erez: Traditional restaurant - very old fashion. We had a reservation but the restaurant was almost empty. The food was good. The service was also good. Maybe too much attention... The music (piano) was a little bit too noisy
Response: Dear Noy Erez! Thank you for taking your time to write your feedback! Gundel Cafe Patisserie Restaurant Team
Kristian Kielmayer
Kristian Kielmayer: Truly historic place in the little City Park (Városliget) of Budapest. Re-opened just recently so we kind of had some expectations but it was rather disappointing. Staff is friendly the interior looks fine. But then they have 2-3 different chairs which gives the place a strange feeling. We went for Saturday dinner, our part of the restaurant back half was only 50% full yet they still have such a close seating that you lose the intimacy and private feeling. Ca. 50cm to the next table is not really acceptable. The food was good, this was the good part and the majority of the 4 star rating is based on this as well as the people where friendly. But completely unorganized, there were plenty of waiters but lack of organisation (table next to us came 30 min later but got the main course earlier) left a sour taste overall.
Response: Dear Kristian Kielmayer, We appreciate your sharing your review with us. Thank you Gundel Cafe Patisserie Restaurant Team
Monika Varga
Monika Varga: Very special Hungarian restaurant, part of our Hungarian history and food culture. We loved it very much. The pianist plays beautiful music. Thank you.

Lecso Hungarian Fast Food: what do users think?
Aneta Melicharová
Aneta Melicharová: To be honest, this restaurant is one of few restaurants which offer food for fair price. Until 7 pm it works as a bistro, after 7 pm as a restaurant. I felt very comfortable there, the staff was very friendly. But I must say, that the classic burger I ordered was a bit burnt on the bun (as you can see on the photo), and you could taste it, co that was a pity.
Response: Thanks for your review. We always try our bests so this is very important to do better.
Gary Tang
Gary Tang: Perfect place to experience authentic Hungarian food. The owner was very friendly and took the time to explain the menu. The staff was very professional and service was tip-top. A must visit restaurant for any visitors to Budapest. Enjoy!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Essência Restaurant - Tiago & Éva: what do users think?
w ss
w ss: A beautiful restaurant in the center of Budapest. We just loved the decor and the ambiance. As for the food and service, both excellent. The service was attentive and yet not intrusive. The food was delicious and some dishes had a Portuguese influence as we found out the chef is from Portugal. Wonderfully made dishes with excellent taste. Now Essencia is one of our favorites in Budapest.
Kimberly Coniam
Kimberly Coniam: Absolutely lovely. Wonderful restaurant with equally wonderful service. This was my first time at a Michelin star restaurant and it did not disappoint. I got the Hungarian menu and my friend the Portuguese/Hungarian menu, both with the accompanying wines. Every course was lovely and the wine pairings fantastic. My favorite course was the Dödölle” & caviar, and I never thought of myself as a caviar/roe person. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
Kiss Zsolt
Kiss Zsolt: Traveling around we found in Hungary this great restaurant from Tiago and Éva. I would have given 5 stars if all the courses where perfect and had a great teste. We had the 6 course meal. I’m total ever Bing had a great aroma and great texture. The desert was not for my taste. I really didn’t like it. That’s why I can’t give a 5 star rating. The rest of the dishes where good. From a rating from 1 to 10 I would have given 8. The service was great. The food was ready in no time. I would recommend talking more about what you are serving and explaining it more in detail. As a conclusion it was a good evening.
Tomás Silva Queiroga
Tomás Silva Queiroga: It is not by mistake it has a Michelin star. I went in a party of 2, and we were well served from start to end, and, although we ordered the 5 course menu, the kitchen gave us 4 extras. The experience and food was totally worth it. Booking in advance is recommended. They really accommodate food allergies and (health) intolerances. Everyone speaks good English there too. I recommend it.
Response: Dear Tomás, Thank you so much for sharing so many details about your experience at Essencia. We are happy to read that you have enjoyed your time at our restaurant. This is what we are working for, to make our guests happy and create great memories they can take home with them. Hope to welcome you back soon! Kind regards, Essência Restaurant - Tiago & Éva
Shay Shapira
Shay Shapira: In the past year I’ve traveled around the world and ate in some of the best Michelin star restaurants in the world, looking for the best culinary experience. Yesterday was extraordinary! From the design of the restaurant to the kindness of the staff. I can proudly say that this was one of the BEST meals I’ve had- the closest to perfection. I would recommend this restaurant not only to those who are already in Budapest, I believe you should come to Budapest especially for this restaurant! Thank you with all my heart to the amazing staff of 3.12.21 night- you really made my trip. Promise to come again soon- hopefully for the second and the third Michelin stars.
ricky chuang
ricky chuang: It deserves a Michelin star. Because of the late reservation, there was only one available time during Christmas week unfortunately. Surprisingly, even the lunch menu catches my appetite. I’m glad that it’s my first meal after arriving Budapest. Highly recommended! It will be a once in a lifetime experience.
PhanTam Phan
PhanTam Phan: We had lunch here few weeks ago. It was nice atmosphere and cozy. Staffs are professional and polite. We chose 3 courses menu. The starters were amazing, absolutely tasty. Main courses were very good too. Overall, it was nice experience. We will come back
Megan Nicholson
Megan Nicholson: The best food experience of my life. My lovely fiancé gifted me a meal here for my birthday and our 5th anniversary. It was beyond believable. The food was amazing and the service was absolutely brilliant, every dish and wine being described in detail. I love how I got a birthday cake too. The 6 course menu is heavenly. Thank you so much, it made our holiday.

Ajeesh-Musthafa
Ajeesh-Musthafa: Good place to try out authentic Hungarian food. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. better yo reserve your seats or might take time to get seats in peak time. Almost all the dishes we tried was tasty. Goulash, meat stew, stuffed cabbage etc all are mouth watering. The starters are good too. So are the deserts
Itay Stein
Itay Stein: One of my favorite restaurants in Budapest. The menu is stacked and generally all dishes are good, with noticeable highlights like the Hungarian stew, goulash, and especially the roasted duck on risotto! The place also serves awesome drinks. Very reasonable prices, restaurant is classy and well-designed, and the service were very friendly. Highly recommended.
sara gaeini
sara gaeini: Totally recommended 😎 We ordered some cocktails first, which was obviously made there and not ready ones. They tasted great and unique. Then for starters we tried goulash and I can confirm that we all love it 😍 It is tasty and really different taste. For main dish we tried four different ones and each of them was great. Well cooked meats, freshly salad and bread. I will go back for sure.
Michaela Lukáčová
Michaela Lukáčová: Restaurant is located at quiet street and is a perfect place to have a lunch. You won’t wait for your meal for too long which is great if you are looking for high quality dish really fast. Hamburger was delicious. Meet perfectly seasoned, really good combination with gorgonzola cheese. I appreciated mayo and ketchup with fries. Soup was delicious. I also ordered beef stew. Almost everything was good apart from some pieces of meat that were really tough and chewy, it really ruined the experience. Hence only four stars.
Tsvetina Ilieva
Tsvetina Ilieva: This is an amazing restaurant with great atmosphere, polite staff and very delicious food! It was always full (we were staying in the building next door) and I understand why! We ate there 3 times, because we wanted to try traditional Hungarian food and we absolutely loved it! Prices are reasonable. Just try the garlic cream soup 😍
Ahmad Gilani
Ahmad Gilani: Great food and service! Everything was delicious including dessert. The staff were attentive and friendly. I got the roastbeef and it was delicious maybe a bit chewy but still great. The soup and liver dishes were also fantastic. Portions are big also. Could definitely come again if I pass by!
Filipa Castro
Filipa Castro: Amazing food and cool vibe inside. The prices are fair. It was the best restaurant I’ve been to in Budapest. We had goulash as a starter, the duck with mushroom risotto and the stew with spatzle, the chocolate cake and the floating island and everything was absolutely delicious. If I’m back to Budapest I’ll definitely come back to this one and strongly recommend it to friends. You should book a table in advance and, even though the booking said we had only one hour, we stayed for two with no problem.
Ying WANG
Ying WANG: We came here twice during our stay. Garlic soup is a must try but very filling. Beef soup with dumplings is good as well. Schnitzel is amazing (thin and crispy) and so pan seared liver is also good. Beef stew is okay and I find the portion quite large in general.Food: 5/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Paprika Jancsi Restaurant: what do users think?
Bradley P
Bradley P: This was the first restaurant we stopped at after landing in Budapest. It was a nice introduction to some of the unique cuisine here. We both started our meals off with a goulash soup, which was really tasty. Then we ordered the pork over vegetable and potato skins. We both really enjoyed the meal!
Lucky-Twins
Lucky-Twins: Went to this restaurant with friends. Food was delicious, portions were really big, so we couldn’t finish it. Staff was friendly and attentive. Also we got some drinks from the restaurant as a compliment, and it made our day :) The restaurant is located in the center, it takes about 5-7 mins by foot to a metro station.
Erika Mae Torres
Erika Mae Torres: Me and friends came and the staff was not very welcoming at all. We were super hungry and we ordered food right away. Waited almost an hour just to find out that they mistakenly switched my order with another table and not even said sorry afterwards. Food was good and abundant though but the pork knuckle which we were looking forward to, was just a hard piece of meat, very hard to chew.
Michael Smiddy
Michael Smiddy: First place I tried after arriving to my accommodation in the city. Indoor or outdoor dining available with blankets provided if it’s a bit chilly outside. Opted for the wild boar stew with ‘noodles’ ie Hungarian gnocchi. Very tasty and would recommend. The pork schnitzel looked very good on the next table to me
Stefan Geisseler
Stefan Geisseler: I was always satisfied with the meat dishes (goulash soup, pörkölt) here. I would give this part a 4+. But whenever I came here, the beverages (Coca Cola in a bottle) were not really cold and not sparkling enough. It would be the simplest thing to serve cold and fresh beverages on a hot summer day, but they just don’t seem to manage it. Additionally the service is very poor. You order a “very cold” beverage and you just get it not properly cooled down without any comment, until you complain about it. But also then they do nothing else about it than to confirm your complain and walk away with a shrug. The side dish additionally was somehow even wasted this time. It did not smell fresh and I got some stomach problems after I left the restaurant, even tough I tried only a little. They tried to argue about it, that it is normal that it smells/tastes like that, but I was here and know how it tastes when it is fresh. You also have to tell the service several times to pay, as they walk away too fast, not listening to you till the end. And for the poor service and bad quality they charge you anyway fully (you are forced to pay the service charge).
Piotr Cegła
Piotr Cegła: Special place for tourists. Wonderful food, big portions, good bear. I recommend chicken breast stew with cottage cheese - delicious!!! If you are in Budapest, you should sit here and try hungarian food.
Adelina D
Adelina D: Good food, but not wow - nothing special, nice atmosphere. They have a very varied menu. But the serving should be a little bit improved.

Wandering Traveler
Wandering Traveler: I was on my way to another restaurant, but I always let my nose guide me if I smell something delicious on the way to my destination. I initially had no intention of stopping here, but the scent lingering out of the kitchen was irresistible and I couldn’t help myself. I stopped, double checked it online, and decided to have lunch. Upon walking in there are several options to choose from and everything I tried was delicious. I would definitely recommend the sausage with mustard A+. Not having to wait at all for the food to be made, but seeing the kitchen replace items in the front with fresh ones on a constant basis is really great. Everything is tasty and they don’t serve anything that has been sitting too long. The price points are also extremely reasonable and the staff is very friendly. I really enjoyed my quick lunch here and have already decided to make this a stop on my returning trips. Try this place out if you’re in the area for a quick bite and want authentic Hungarian at a great price!
Andy Nicholas
Andy Nicholas: Wanted a taste of local cuisine/traditional food on my short stay and this was nearest to my hotel. Cafeteria-style establishment. Seems like it’s frequented by plenty of locals so that can only be a good sign! Just point to what you want that looks good and they charge by weight. Very affordable! The pearly-grained pasta was delicious! I wish I got the name of it! The sausage was huge and really juicy and bursting with flavor! Servers were friendly and they had someone who spoke some English to assist me!
A J
A J: Tourists beware - was charged an extra Ft 1,000 as they “forgot to add something“. I checked later and nothing purchased was 1,000 Ft. We asked for the receipt twice and were ignored. It’s only £2 so I didn’t escalate the matter but beware and ask for the itemised receipt before paying if possible. Enjoyed trying all three traditional sausages (original, blood, liver) and really enjoyed it. Original is the best one in my opinion. The mangalica pork is fantastic, especially with the beetroot salad and cheese salad. If it weren’t for the insincere payment method, I’d have given 1 more ⭐️. On the other counter with meats and salad, we had no issues and received both receipts.
Kang Zi Jing
Kang Zi Jing: One of my favorite places for lunch in my 6 weeks in Budapest. Canteen style eatery. On the left, there’s fried food and side dishes, and on the right, there’s (marinated) uncooked meats and salads. There’s also soups and pickled dishes. If you want to order from both counters, you first pick your uncooked meats at the right counter, after which they would grill it for you. After it is done, you can tell the staff what you want from the other counters. Servers were all very friendly and helpful despite this being a supposed self service styled canteen. Food here is typically hearty and filling. I loved it!
Martin Law
Martin Law: Excellent place to experience Hungarian food. You can eat in or take out. Very good value. We had 2 mains and a drink for less than £13.
Chi Qi
Chi Qi: Amazing place! Generous portions of delicious food - great to try some Hungarian food. Fantastic value for money, two mains for under £13! Sausages and the giant couscous were a highlight!

Yulia Ratnasari
Yulia Ratnasari: As an Asian having hyper palatable tongue, this restaurant was satisfying and flavorful! Very umami (to note, in a good way, not in a bad way) So far, these were one of the best dishes I eat throughput my 2 years stay in Europe. I have visited 37 cities so far and subjectively, this was the most remarkable. I tried the sausage, pasta layer stuffed with beef and potato, and fish wrapped with bacon. Other reviews complaining about standing eating style — I dont mind with that. This place is to a eat and go. Keep in mind that their guests are mostly Hungarians, most of them eating here for quick meals. No toilet, no english, and the server aren’t friendly enough to translate things for you. Translate everything yourself before going to the counter, don’t let people waiting. Summing up, I really appreciate the meals. Thank you so much it’s beautiful.
Alicia Wan
Alicia Wan: Stand and eat eatery. They have a good selection of meat. Potato chips not so crispy. Ordered mangalica pork, lime and ginger chicken, sausage and some sides. Service is reasonably quick, service staff able to speak English.
Scot Wanders
Scot Wanders: Was my first time at a vegan restaurant, was always hesitant about a vegan restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised ! It was really good and really filling ! I had the goulash and the pasta version dinner. Was very happy with my dishes !
Márton G
Márton G: The place only has standing tables, so not really available for anyone with a standing disability, but the food is amazing. Would certainly recommend, I know I will be back!Food: 5/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Johnyboi
Johnyboi: Incredible. The best sausage I’ve ever eaten and I live in Germany, that says something. The regular paprika sausage was amazing. The staff wasn’t that friendly but the taste makes up for it. The potato „chips“ were good and fresh. Very oily though. Good location and they take cards. Very local place even though there are a lot of tourists.
Shweta E.S
Shweta E.S: Great service and very good food at great price.Mangalica is worth the try.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Travel Far, Eat Local
Travel Far, Eat Local: Rudest people I’ve ever met in my travels. They hate tourists. Blood sausage is decent, but there are like 80 other butchers in Budapest. Come here if you like, but expect very rude and arrogant people behind the counter.
Şükrü Orçun Taş
Şükrü Orçun Taş: There may not be a better price/performance restaurant in Budapest! The foods are delicious and the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely go there again!

Sofiia Bairamukova
Sofiia Bairamukova: Must try in Budapest. The tastiest and gentle goulash one may wish for! The salad was so perfectly balanced with a mix of greens, oil and herbs. Kaiserschmarrn was a delight with apricot and apple jam. The most charming place in Budapest. Highly recommend!
Itay Sharmigin
Itay Sharmigin: This was our best dinner in Budapest by far. This place is very special, with top-notch kitchen, we had great entrees followed by amazing Wild boar ribs and simple but traditional Hungarian home-made dessert, all which were paired with great wine and Unicum for dessert by recommendation by the lovely yet very professional waiter. Also mind that this restaurant is quite small and reserving a table a head of time is very much needed.
Robin Carlsson
Robin Carlsson: Excellent bistro with great meat quality. A bit pricier than some others, but we experienced great service. We had two schnitzels and fried potatoes on the side which were excellent! Good lemonade - sour which fit my taste preference
Patrick Herrmann
Patrick Herrmann: We had an amazing dinner experience here on our first night in Budapest. Lovely people and a authentic atmosphere - the open kitchen was also very special. The food was absolutely stunning, especially the ribs were probably the best ribs I’ve had so far. Will definitely come back and highly recommend this place!
Juan Fernando Quintero
Juan Fernando Quintero: Simply one of the best meals I have ever had! The place is small and intimate, they only serve around 10 people at the same time. Getting a table without previously reservation is practically impossible, so plan your visit in advance. The staff is lovely and you really feel the authenticity of the food. You can’t miss this place.
Mariia Ivakhnenko
Mariia Ivakhnenko: Absolutely recommended!! Nice staff, huge portions, and super tasty. Been here twice, will definitely come back again and again in the future :)
Shotiko Japaridze
Shotiko Japaridze: They don’t make restaurants like this anymore. Old school charm, romantic vibes, modern but not cliche First, the atmosphere is small, intimate but not uncomfortable The staff is family run, very welcoming hospitable energy, cheesy but the good is made with love It’s a Hungarian restaurant with good portions, we recommend the pork belly, so tender and crunchy at the same time
Ester Sgambato
Ester Sgambato: Best meal we had in Budapest! Beef goulash & boar ribs - both were exceptional, the meat was super tender. Highly recommended.

Idan Carmi
Idan Carmi: First time I’ve been here in half a decade. The kitchen was definitely revamped as the food was significantly improved! Service was kind and attentive. The atmosphere of the place is very comfortable and “homelike”. The food itself was well salted and spiced, and lemonade was well made. The place is bustling and with good reason! Looking forward to my next meal there.
Kevin Rosenman
Kevin Rosenman: The cold dishes (Jewish egg and tartar) is a 6/10. The presentation was nice but the taste was not outstanding. The main dishes (meat balls / pulled chicken) are definitely a 10/10 also the house wine and the espresso is super good !
Response: Dear Kevin, thank you for the description and we are glad that your day ended with good experiences with us!
Matthieu
Matthieu: Randomly came here with my friend. Great oriental food, very fresh and tasteful. Cocktails and coffee were also fantastic. Friendly staff. I will definitely come back.
Response: Dear Matthieu! We're glad that the hand of fate chose us for you! Also, that everything got your likes! We hope to have you again soon!
Natascha
Natascha: The food sizes where extremely small for the extremely high prices. The chips were stale and so was the bread. While halfway through our meal, we were told we would have to leave within 15 minutes, because they forgot to tell us that the table was booked for a reservation. The waiter was rushing us from the minute we came, getting annoyed that we didn’t chose our food and drinks after barley sitting down. The star is for the cute dog that was there.
Phoebe Tran
Phoebe Tran: Great food, excellent service. They have very good crispy meatballs and chicken breast. The size is bigger than we thought so pls consider not to order too much (like us). Highly recommend.

Spencer Zhao: The duck breast is terrific, so yummy and juicy. The dessert recommended by the waiter is also super nice. Suggest to make a reservation by phone call in advance, the owner speaks perfect English. The service is super friendly and the interior decorations are in good taste. After dinner, you can enjoy the fabulous view of the Hungarian Parliamentary-building outside the restaurant. The best experience ever in Hungary 🇭🇺
Gabrielle Chen
Gabrielle Chen: We heard that this restaurant is specialized in duck dishes so we came here, and it doesn’t disappoint us! Their duck dishes are absolutely amazing, I was very happy with what I ordered: Wild duck leg stuffed with plums and plum sauce, it was so satisfying. The live music was a great plus as well which was the cherry on top. Definitely a MUST TRY in Budapest, don’t miss it!
Wayne Mowery
Wayne Mowery: Absolutely fantastic dinner! Probably the best I’ll have over my 7 days in Budapest. Where to begin? The waitress was extremely caring, providing thoughtful suggestions to the menu that added to the experience. I ordered the chateaubriand steak and it was cooked perfectly (photos for proof!) The ambience was heavenly…as if we were sitting in an old European living room with a superb violinist and pianist playing intimately for the dining room. I’m honestly surprised this restaurant doesn’t have a waiting list and demand reservations weeks in advance. Highly recommend!
Greg H
Greg H: Was looking to have good, authentic Hungarian food and found this place. I was expecting the food to be good and it not disappoint as it was amazing food and service. We had the venison steak and a hunter’s stew, both were excellent. The fish stew as an appetizer, the wine and the dessert were phenomenal as well. I’m honestly amazed this place was not packed even though we went on a Tuesday night as the food was excellent and the waiter was super friendly and helpful with someone not familiar with Hungarian cuisine. He was very patient with my many touristy questions for him as well. I will absolutely be back whenever I return to Budapest! Definitely a hidden gem in Budapest!
Alex Hunter
Alex Hunter: Fantastic restaurant with a warm, cozy atmosphere. The music and service was incredible. If you are in Budapest it is well worth coming ! The crepe for dessert was so good.
Sandi A
Sandi A: Lovely meal! Had one of the fish dishes! Great service! Had a live pianist and violin player too! They were playing gypsy music and several classics! Would highly recommend! Great atmosphere!
Simonpietro Cecchini
Simonpietro Cecchini: One of the best places in Budapest if you love the duck meat: you will find a huge selection of different duck meat types perfectly cooked. The stuffed duck breast is a must. The location is very relaxing and the service very professional.

Brian
Brian: This restaurant needs 5 stars IMMEDIATELY. I found this restaurant in a online article and I thought this place was going to be packed with tourists and it wasn’t! I really hope it stays that way because the food were was reasonably priced (cheap!), great quality, and awesome waiters who were super friendly! Honestly this is the place to go to if you don’t want a super gimmicky place that is just out to steal your money. If you want great Hungarian food with good service and not having to pay a TON of money, this is your place. I would go back here if I went back to Budapest.
Alexandre Jesus
Alexandre Jesus: Great place to eat what I would categorise as local food. Staff was amazing, the food great too ( the best goulash I had in Budapest) and at a really reasonable price. Definitely recommend this restaurant for everyone.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
