Sugar! Design Confectionery and Candy Store: what do users think?

Snir M.: We were excited to see this place and had some expectations. This place is nice, but mostly gimmicky and not worth a a special visit. If you were nearby, it could be nice to see it. But other candy stores offer better collections of products.

Antoine: Cakes are very good, but most importantly : the macarons are of the finest quality. Having been raised in France, these challenge most of the ones you can find in Paris, even some of the Ladurée shops. The Nutella ones are a bit too much, but the rest is very delicate.

peanutbutternjelly •: Very pretty shop but nothing special. If you happen to pass by it’s nice to look at but don’t go out of your way to go here. Candy was a little overpriced for what your getting. The younger employees seemed nice but the women who i think was the owner seemed to be rather unfriendly towards me and in general.

Marija: the lemon cake had to much flavour. Not sure if it is arificial but it feels that way maybe just tone it down a bitThe other one, i think was blackbeary, the sponge is a bit to dry, but the poppy-blackbeary combination is very good

Csaba Szabó: Sugar! Is a very upscale, trendy and joyful confectionary with an emphasis on sugary sweet cake and mignons. While non-added sugary products are also available together with some fun memorabilia and rarer for-the-region (american) sweets, they stand out with their self-made products. If you go here you MUST check out the bathroom. The whole place is designed like it’s straight out of candy crush or sth.

Zorka Herczeg: Amazing place, we fell in love, the real childhood dream came true!😍😍you can buy a lot of different kind of 🍭🍬🍫the cakes and pies were absolutely amazing!!

Romana Zálešáková: The cakes were the most delicious, but I was so disapointed with the upper part of the shop, the tables and menus were not clean. The only thing I loved about the upper part were the toilets- clean and super stylish. Despite a bit of negative things, I have to say, I enjoyed my stay there.

Tibor Kaczur: Cakes, sugar, shakes, sweets whatever you want, name it. Sugar rush is on!

Avi Ghelman: Loved it. A lot of sugar....

Valentino: A little long waiting time for food to get (French Toasts) and the Cinnamon roll was pretty dry, without tastiness.

Laura Bud: Lovely waitresses and very tasty pastry, bread and cakes.

Ines H: Delicious bread and pastries!

Ismail Ucar: Very friendly :)

Andrea Kiss: The sales girl working there was amazingly nice, I would love to go back for that alone. And their sourdough breads are beautiful and very tasty.

Siors1994: Super fresh bakery cookies! I really liked the walnut bread. Nice service :) I missed a place like this in the area...

Cake Shop: what do users think?

Arta Groma: Was looking for a place, where to try local cakes - this is not it. However, the cake I tried (coffee cheesecake) was magnificent! It was hard to choose. All of them looked amazing. And large coffee was actually large. In some places it is not 😁 Loved the whole vibe of the cake shop.

Mekintoš Larja: A lovely but small and still cosy place for coffee, cakes, sweets and take away. The cakes were delicious and prices affordable. Coffee was excellent. Definitely would recommend.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More

Henrique Friedrich: I did not try the cakes, we only had some cookies and coffee there.I do not think the cookies worth the price and the coffee also did not taste good.Food: 2/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Gergely Horvath: We orderer a custom cake for a birthday - it looked amazing but the taste/quality wasn’t great, unfortunately. You know that something went wrong when nobody wants a second slice or takes home the leftover.

Patrick Lordain: Friendly staff and solid cake. The coffee was delicious!

Andrea Naletto: I wish the cakes slices were a bit bigger and with a little less sugar.

Aliya Rysbek: I have to say their walnut cake is very delicious. While we were drinking our coffee some chocolate smell started filling the whole shop. It was so appetizing I had to ask what is being baked in the oven. Brownie! Of course I ordered it (a good product advertising - you can watch the whole cake preparation process sitting by the vitrins, the oven is also there). Well, brownie was just as chocolaty as it should be. Best.

James Lau: Really small cake shop that had wide variety of cakes to choose from. The bakers are constantly making something which was cool to see. They have a nice wall of tissue paper with customers decorating it with where they are from etc. I enjoyed the cake. It was light and not too sweet.

Chimney cake budapest: what do users think?

Ike Ichael: Quite expensive and I don’t think the chimney cake was especially fresh. It certainly didn’t taste that way. Very sweet. You’re probably better off walking around a bit and finding one elsewhere. I saw one with much more reasonable prices near the train station.

Ellen Tila: i was a bit taken aback at the prices, it’s very very expensive BUT the chimney cake they make is much bigger than at the regular kiosks and it was absolutely delicious (maybe b/c the dough was fluffier)

vivek sinha: Good taste though bit Expensive ... good service so overall nice place to try ice cream with #kurtiskala

mlay tech: The chimney cakes here are horrible and more than double the price. They are crusty and aged, not soft and fresh. After visiting Budapest over 9 times, I can vouch for the small stand up shop on the corner/end of Andrassy Utca. There is always a line there because it’s the best and most fresh. Worth the 5-10 minute wait. The price over there is 500 HUF, not 1350+. I paid 2000 and this horrible place for a cinnamon cake with Nutella. In Budapest you can get a big pie of Pizza for that price, this place is a total scam on price and taste!!!

Lukas Huncho: Amazing chimney cake in the heart of Budapest, must try if you are visiting. Absolute delicacy! There was even a pistachio special which was amazing

Gaby: Really friendly guy and my cinnamon chimney cake was delicious!

Nelly Kent: Bad taste and they do all electric . It’s not the real taste of kurtos. And it’s never fresh . They give all the time the ones with one say before because they are lazy to make new ones .

Cupcake Tortaműhely: what do users think?

Brittany Grosser: A must visit! They have many gluten free and vegan options. Workers were very nice. Decor was very cute!

Abigail Christine Chen: Good stuff after a long walk from the bastion, it’s nice to gain the calories lost with a cupcake . I tried the Brownie it was good fudge, and the banana cake was okay. The staff were super friendly 😚

nickt61: Most definitely delicious 😋 cakes and coffee. Lovely little café outside seating also available. Fantastic service. Highly recommended!

Полина Пивоварова: Very tasty cupcakes, cakes and drinks. Nice prices. Comfy and warm atmosphere.

Jenna Lawrence: Good cupcakes, pretty decorations, sadly went at the end of the day so most things were sold out. Still had vegan options though which was good.

Miloslav Fránek: Really nice sweet shop and cafe with tasty cakes, coffee, ice cream and cold drinks. Interior and outside terrace is nicely furnished, service very helpful and English speaaking.

Meral Dalkılıç: Great cupcakes, fresh and delicious..maybe the best I have ever tasted!!!👍

Leigh Krueger: Lovely little gem, deliciousness. Great variety of cupcakes and pastries. Well priced and friendly service.

Hérics Cake Shop: what do users think?

Noemi Arvay: The cake created by the Mátés was a huge success. I just sent a few photos and let their imagination run wild! We asked our Bernese Mountain Dog to show it, the result was fantastic, everyone was in awe :)

Anett Hágelmayer: Thank you Hérics Cake Shop, it was a hit again! We have already ordered from Mátés several times, each time to our greatest satisfaction! The cakes we ordered were always as we wanted. Their taste and texture were also fine, and the guests liked them. If we ate some of it and I offered to pack it for those going home, no one ever objected :-)

Gabriella Koszta: Matthew has been our curca for 3 years. Everything that is cake from him and we get beautiful and delicious works from him. It hasn’t even been that he said I don’t take it. We usually order extreme cakes so I can only recommend the Herics Cake Shop because, they fulfill the requests!

Renii Czipera: So far, we have ordered from them for all birthdays and they have never disappointed. 💜 They make all the cakes incredibly creatively and precisely, and they are also very delicious. 😍 As beautiful and perfect as they are delicious, at an affordable price. 🙏🏻 We are very grateful to Máté and his team, they are incredibly nice and friendly, they were very kind and helpful. I can recommend it to everyone..☺️

András Eger: The workmanship and desing are perfect. But the taste is nowhere near what we asked for. Both the filling and the sponge cake are similar to large-scale mass production. Complaint handling is uncritical. Phlegm and treating .... just keep going .... good advice before you take home.

CAKE & MORE by Alena Garannikova: what do users think?

Anna Kopotilova: At first I thought it was fine: the prices were ok, the selection of desserts was quite nice, but then I watched how the cashier took the cookie with her bare hand and put it in my takeaway box…

Elvira Mambetova: The best confectionery in Budapest, so delicious and always fresh. Also ordered a couple of cakes for family celebration - the best of the best! Highly recommended!

G C: I came there for the first time and it won’t be the last for sure! Divine Napoleon torta and good people 😍

Andrew Vasilyev: Very delicious cakes! I bought many times, always fresh and tasty!

aycan aydogan: Amazing cakes... Napoleon is the best!

Shamil Hasanli: They have good cakes, love it. Would be better if prices are a little bit affordable.

MongKok Tea: what do users think?

Kehan Liu: I love this place soooo much!!!! Their milk tea here is so good and exactly the same as Hongkong style. The food and environment let me remember the childhood memories! Their bread is really fresh and soft taste! Completely same as the bread in China. Highly recommend to everyone and come to have a try.

qi liao: Traditional Guangdong & HK style dessert. Handmade, fresh, natural ,low sugar, healthy more and limited edition. You can order desserts or birthday cakes advanced. They have their own style birthday cakes, like sea-salt oreo cake, Breastnut cake. Moon cake is a small dessert, not a big cake. Mirror egg tarts and Portugal egg tarts are different taste. Double skin milk with sweet- red beans, smoothly and waxy. If you want to know why called "double skin", come and have a try. They also have some seasonal desserts, like Mango -Grapefruit -Sago soup, attached below photos. Enjoy.

Mariana Mdzeluri: I ordered a cake there and it was amazing. It had a perfect taste and texture: soft, light, not greasy, not overly sweet, tender, and you can feel the quality of ingredients. It also looked cute.

JJ Tsang: The best ice lemon tea and milk tea of Hong Kong style in the Euro

Xiaoyuan Wang: Traditional homemade Chinese dessert. Like the feel in Hongkong City.👍👍👍

雷仁芮: I definitely love this milktea shop, their milktea and bakery are so delicate, and the decorations also are nice and sweet. Recommend it to everybody!!

Andrea: Lovely little pastry shop, high level cakes

Csokis Miklós: Good cakes, a bit pricey.

Barnabás Schneider: the best desserts that I have ever eaten in my whole life. Truly wonderful and the best quality, worth the price.

Piotr Zawiła-Niedźwiecki: The coffee and pastries were excellent. Owner (who used to work in multiple top hotels and restaurants) was very helpful when it comes to suggesting other places where to eat top notch pastries and desserts. Strongly recommend as now I know why it was so highly rated :)!

Xiaochen Zhang: Recommend these delicious cakes and mango passion fruit ice cream.

Excel to Excel: By far the best pastry shop in Budapest. Superior Quality ingredients. Very delicious desserts and cakes. On top of that both owners are so humble, welcoming and hospitable. I am short of words to describe, its best to visit and experience yourself. Worth a visit if you are a fan of quality and want to experience something wonderful.

Yat Ho Wong: Took care of my sweet tooth properly :)

Ruszwurm Confectionery: what do users think?

Wen Lin: Check out this pistachio green house, it’s just lovely, and if you love pastry, you can’t missed!I recommend Potato scone & Apple strudel, they are amazing. So far, it’s the best I’ve ever had.

Alex Yajuk: Their cremeshnit is just superb! Very tasty! Visited there with my wife, ordered hot chocolate and coffee with the cake, the experience was awesome and the taste even better. Sometime there are a lot of people so maybe you will have to wait in line. The wait is totally worth it ! Recommend for everyone who is visiting the place !

Alexandros Giannakopoulos: It is a very nice option for a short stop. We ordered two Hungarian traditional sweets which were very delicious. Especially the Ruszwurm cream cake was extremely fresh! We stayed outside but inside you could easily see the big variety of sweets that you could order. Prices were reasonable.

Xueliang Huo: We ordered the cake of 2021(forgot the name), the raspberry cake, the cream cake and three palmier cookies. All of them are good and cost about 10 euros. The cream cake is my favorite. Not that sweet but super soft. The palmier is good too and my two little boys love it. Definitely will come back when we visit Budapest in the future.

Jennifer Smith: Incredibly crowded and tiny seating space indoors but the queue moved fairly quickly. Lovely interior decor that dates from the 19th century. We had a glass of delicious wine and one cottage cheese and one cherry strudel. Service is quick-fire although once served you’ll have to flag the waitress or waiter again for attention. Not the friendliest but with this volume of people I wouldn’t be either!

Y. Pletenytska: Nice and tasty.Fee for service is included in bill. Warm and food was delicious so we are thankfull as world became nicer after eating in your cozy place! We paid no more than 4 euro for cake and tea (one teapot for both of us)

Nisa H.: We came here twice for the delicious cream cake, it’s so light and fluffy! All of the cakes are tasty and definitely worth a try. Service was excellent and the price is affordable. I definitely recommend!

Aaron Santa María: A gem of a bakery! It’s a traditional and historic pastry shop on the Buda side (a hundred meters from Matthias Church) famed for being the oldest one in the city. Their cakes and pastries are exquisite and not too sweet, while the service is excellent. A must-try whenever in Budapest!

Ayçin: One of the worst cake I’ve ever had. I had the one with crispy caramel on top. It wasn’t fresh and overly sweet. Very dry and tasteless. We were 3 friends and non could finish it so we had to throw it away. I was expecting a lot more than such a place with history.
