Sugar! Design Confectionery and Candy Store: what do users think?

Snir M.: We were excited to see this place and had some expectations. This place is nice, but mostly gimmicky and not worth a a special visit. If you were nearby, it could be nice to see it. But other candy stores offer better collections of products.

Antoine: Cakes are very good, but most importantly : the macarons are of the finest quality. Having been raised in France, these challenge most of the ones you can find in Paris, even some of the Ladurée shops. The Nutella ones are a bit too much, but the rest is very delicate.

peanutbutternjelly •: Very pretty shop but nothing special. If you happen to pass by it’s nice to look at but don’t go out of your way to go here. Candy was a little overpriced for what your getting. The younger employees seemed nice but the women who i think was the owner seemed to be rather unfriendly towards me and in general.

Marija: the lemon cake had to much flavour. Not sure if it is arificial but it feels that way maybe just tone it down a bitThe other one, i think was blackbeary, the sponge is a bit to dry, but the poppy-blackbeary combination is very good

Csaba Szabó: Sugar! Is a very upscale, trendy and joyful confectionary with an emphasis on sugary sweet cake and mignons. While non-added sugary products are also available together with some fun memorabilia and rarer for-the-region (american) sweets, they stand out with their self-made products. If you go here you MUST check out the bathroom. The whole place is designed like it’s straight out of candy crush or sth.

Zorka Herczeg: Amazing place, we fell in love, the real childhood dream came true!😍😍you can buy a lot of different kind of 🍭🍬🍫the cakes and pies were absolutely amazing!!

Romana Zálešáková: The cakes were the most delicious, but I was so disapointed with the upper part of the shop, the tables and menus were not clean. The only thing I loved about the upper part were the toilets- clean and super stylish. Despite a bit of negative things, I have to say, I enjoyed my stay there.

Tibor Kaczur: Cakes, sugar, shakes, sweets whatever you want, name it. Sugar rush is on!

Avi Ghelman: Loved it. A lot of sugar....

Ruszwurm Confectionery: what do users think?

Wen Lin: Check out this pistachio green house, it’s just lovely, and if you love pastry, you can’t missed!I recommend Potato scone & Apple strudel, they are amazing. So far, it’s the best I’ve ever had.

Alex Yajuk: Their cremeshnit is just superb! Very tasty! Visited there with my wife, ordered hot chocolate and coffee with the cake, the experience was awesome and the taste even better. Sometime there are a lot of people so maybe you will have to wait in line. The wait is totally worth it ! Recommend for everyone who is visiting the place !

Alexandros Giannakopoulos: It is a very nice option for a short stop. We ordered two Hungarian traditional sweets which were very delicious. Especially the Ruszwurm cream cake was extremely fresh! We stayed outside but inside you could easily see the big variety of sweets that you could order. Prices were reasonable.

Xueliang Huo: We ordered the cake of 2021(forgot the name), the raspberry cake, the cream cake and three palmier cookies. All of them are good and cost about 10 euros. The cream cake is my favorite. Not that sweet but super soft. The palmier is good too and my two little boys love it. Definitely will come back when we visit Budapest in the future.

Jennifer Smith: Incredibly crowded and tiny seating space indoors but the queue moved fairly quickly. Lovely interior decor that dates from the 19th century. We had a glass of delicious wine and one cottage cheese and one cherry strudel. Service is quick-fire although once served you’ll have to flag the waitress or waiter again for attention. Not the friendliest but with this volume of people I wouldn’t be either!

Y. Pletenytska: Nice and tasty.Fee for service is included in bill. Warm and food was delicious so we are thankfull as world became nicer after eating in your cozy place! We paid no more than 4 euro for cake and tea (one teapot for both of us)

Nisa H.: We came here twice for the delicious cream cake, it’s so light and fluffy! All of the cakes are tasty and definitely worth a try. Service was excellent and the price is affordable. I definitely recommend!

Aaron Santa María: A gem of a bakery! It’s a traditional and historic pastry shop on the Buda side (a hundred meters from Matthias Church) famed for being the oldest one in the city. Their cakes and pastries are exquisite and not too sweet, while the service is excellent. A must-try whenever in Budapest!

Ayçin: One of the worst cake I’ve ever had. I had the one with crispy caramel on top. It wasn’t fresh and overly sweet. Very dry and tasteless. We were 3 friends and non could finish it so we had to throw it away. I was expecting a lot more than such a place with history.

Elvira Mambetova: The best confectionery in Budapest, so delicious and always fresh. Also ordered a couple of cakes for family celebration - the best of the best! Highly recommended!

G C: I came there for the first time and it won’t be the last for sure! Divine Napoleon torta and good people 😍

Andrew Vasilyev: Very delicious cakes! I bought many times, always fresh and tasty!

Mahdi Bentaleb: Very delicious Birthday Cake 🎂, also very reasonable prices ❤️

Giovanna Perricelli: Great traditional cakes, warm environment, and not full of tourists.

Marina Vavilova: Cake is only one good thing there, it’s very tasty! When we ask waiter to clean table after previous visitor she saw at us like we asked something impossible and said something like “you can’t choose other table?”

Thomas S: Nice homely cakes, decent variety. They are good, just not good enough to be memorable

Polina St.: Just not tasty at all. Something artificial, I’m not sure about the quality of ingredients. We’ve ordered traditional esterhazi and cremes cakes, and haven’t finished neither of them. Even though the place is cute and the store manager is very nice and polite, but please do something with the sweets.

Channon Dayus: Lovely little cake shop… so glad we stumbled upon it! The cakes were amazing. Staff were really helpful and friendly…. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Would definitely recommend!

Gabor Jokuti: Truly superb cakes, very kind staff, lovey cosy place! The cakes are not too sweet and really made with utmost care and professionalism. I love this place!

Raashi Metkari: Looks like a cute little spot, but the cakes are overrated. Preordered a birthday cake from here (since we needed vegan) and it was the most dry tasteless one I ever had. Overpriced, doesn’t taste of premium ingredients. Really chunky and didn’t taste fresh at all. Rude woman at the reception who couldn’t care less with serving you. Do not recommend.

Bogdan Burdiko: Very tasty desserts and ice-cream. Everything is done very thoroughly and with love. Perfect choice if you are looking for a less crowded and quite place.

Alisha Knicely (Lisha): PupiCakes made our wedding cake for our small intimate ceremony. They made a stunning wedding cake that was also absolutely delicious! Our guests and family were raving about how much they enjoyed the cake. We were very pleased with the quality, presentation, and taste. Highly recommend for your cake needs!

Camila Ch: Delicious cakes and excellent service! The swedish almond cake and peanut butter cake are amazing!

Norbert Pintér: This confectionery is really good, and they have really fancy delishes.

Máté Herber: They delivered one of the most delicious cakes we ever had. They were very prompt with delivery too.

Peter Dömötör (dpeter99): Great small shop. The cake slices we had were really great. They tasted fresh and distinct from the usual bakeries. The whole places show that they love making the sweets.

DesszertNeked: what do users think?

Marko Đurić: Every cake tells another story. They are not too sweet so you can actually taste and enjoy each flavor. Interior is specious and clean with big windows. It is a very nice touch that the kitchen is divided from the bar with one big window so you can see where all magic happens. Definitely worth the visit.

Ingo Graf: Trendy and cozy cafe, clean and inviting. Great cakes/desserts/sweets with good coffee. For me only downside was the service, sadly not welcoming and friendly. Yet still worth a try just for the sweets.

Christian Harris: Very good and reasonably priced cakes. I wish I tried more to give a better review. We had a pistachio tart, which we found too creamy and sweet.

ALBERT ZSOLT FARKAS (Albert): One of my favorite places in this area. Modern and stylish. Clean and kids friendly. Always smiling and welcoming staff!. On-site sweet-bakery with an interactive view to/on the "candy factory"....

Jiaqi Z.: Flat white is very nice and foamy here. Good place to work (power sockets available, music is quiet/not distracting, people also talk quietly) Cortado comes with a gratuitous surprise cookie every time 💕

Alice: I am so happy we stumbled upon this gem! A beautiful selection of pastries, cakes and macarons, served with delicious coffee. Amazing quality and value for money.

Daniel Avraham: My favorite cafe at BudapestAmazing food which is not expensive atall (each dessert cost about 3€, and 1€ for macaroon)

Miguel Morales: Delicious high-end products. I recommend the cherry and poppy macaron. Also the Milenium 22 which was my favorite. I take it away but they have room to have a nice time relaxing.

JM6 Bakery & Café: what do users think?

Miklós Szabó: One of the coziest places in the center, which is not yet popular. Perfect for a private meeting or a date. I very much recommend their pastries.

Aeri: Cute place with lots to offer. Got a croissant /thinking it’ll be like most of the places very empty inside/ and a choco cake, but hey this croissant was very much not empty it was more than enough to make me full. Latte was tasty I don’t know what milk was that but it added such a good flavor. The place itself is so cute, bakery shelf next to the counter with fresh bread and some pastries. The service, there was a girl very friendly and welcoming that I felt at ease to sit there alone. The place was clean, cleaning and wiping the table after each customer left

Cristina Nicoara: It was exactly what we needed in a beautiful morning in Budapest. Tasty bagels and delicious coffee. Friendly and homey atmosphere, excellent and cordial staff making everyone feel welcome . Even the lady cleaning the bathrooms spoke English with a smile .

Ål Nik: My personal favourite gem in Budapest. Cosy and spacious place with delicious baked miracles and friendly team.

HJ Lee: Very good place to have a cup of coffee and eat some bread. Lovely interior style and kind staff. Coffee and bread tasted good! :)

Petra Harmati: One of the best bakeries in Budapest. There are always new baked goods to try. Amazing cakes and coffee. The monthly special coffee is always worth a try.

Ábel Maróti: A hidden treasure we found by accident! Fantastic local vibes, tasty coffee, locally baked goods and neat interior!

Monika Nowok: Delicious food 😁 I recommend sandwich and different sweets. Small comfy place, good coffee.

Michaela Hrabovská: Lovely cozy place tasty coffee and great pastries 😲🤗

A J: Fantastic café! This is such a cozy, relaxing cafe and the staff are extremely welcoming. We had a delicious cookie with our tea and coffee, you’d never guess it was low sugar. I’ll definitely be back next time to try their cakes because they looked delicious.

Vora: Vegan cakes were tasteless (felt like eating nothing.h it is too much to call these ‘dessert ‘ because vegan cakes are zero sweet taste and even bitter, or tasteless at all. so for me, it was disappointing.

Sall AD: I got a cappuccino and it was lovely, it came with a tiny cookie which was delicious.

עדן כהן: We drank the mango shake and it was great and the service was nice and welcoming

Indah Novrinta: This is so disappointing to know that my cake has a hole. It is covered by gelatin. It looks full but it is NOT full slice. The shop is tricking the customers. I never found a cake with hole in another shops. Dont go to this shop guys!!!!!

Andre Boca: Great service, delicious coffee & cakes.

András Tóth: Excellent little out of the way café. If you like gluten free and paleo pastries this place is great.
