Tomás Silva Queiroga: Very authentic, delicious and well presented Brazilian food. If you are not Brazilian, you will probably not understand the menu, but then just trust the waiters. The environment is cozy and usually with Brazilian themed music. They speak English and take cards. Reservations aren’t really needed. It is worth the experience.
Ágnes Surján: Best dinner in a long time. The place is super cozy, the music was amazing and just loud enough to hear but not too loud. I loooved the plants and decoration, we even got a candle on the table. Felt super romantic. The service was amazing, they explained all the drinks and dishes, even the chef came out to make sure all was good. The food was super tasty and the conctails were really special. Will go back for sure and it is in my top 3 places now I would recommend to friends.
Gábor Süveges: I had the chance to try this place during their soft opening. The menu was limited but still, the available goods were so delicious. The leek empada was phenomenal. I definitely have to point out the attentiveness of the staff. I’m very excited to see where they go from here, a place like this was definitely needed in Budapest.

Gabriela Krawczyk: First proper Brazilian restaurant in Budapest!!!! The staff is polite and friendly, they make sure to let you know any specials going on. The owners are amazing people as well. The food tastes so good and freshly homemade. I’m Brazilian and this really feels like a little piece of home away from home. Highly highly recommend this for any time of day, lunch or dinner. Can’t express enough how much I LOVED the food!!!!

Guilherme Heil Kinas: Mostly people that will come here are Brazilians and tasted the brazilian food. For someone, who was already once in Brazil the food is actually bad for the price. The service was friendly, but extremely delayed. We mentioned that were short on time up on arrival, the waitress said it would be around 15-20 minutes (straight up lied). We waited about 50 minutes (so long we were able to go to the hotel get some stuff and come back). Three people attending 6 tables and no one at the kitchen basically, would go there again.

Leonardo Castro: HONESTLY, I'm living in Europe almost 4 years, and travelling around tasting a lot of Brazilian restaurant, ans thar restaurant was the most similar with the Brazilian food. Everything amazing, lovely staff. Me and my friends loved that place. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Kaliia Ulanbekova: The only good thing about this place is service. The guy and girl were so nice and welcoming. However, food that we ordered were so dissapointing and over priced. We felt bad that we paid this much for those food where rice was overcooked, solty, and dessert was frozen that we ended up eating ice in the middle part of cake. We were so dissapointed and we are not coming back eventhough we love brazilian food. I do not reccomend this place. Better to spend this amount of money for better food.

André Belmudes Paiusco: We ordered caldinho de feijão, escondidinho de carne and strogonoff, coxinha and pão de queijo for starters. The food was good, seemed well prepared. However, our foreigners friends wanted more coxinha and it was over. Guarana was also over. Also the main courses took more than 1h to be served. Do not recommend if you are in a rush, hungry or want to sightsee on the same day.

Ellis Escapes: Came here after reading some excellent reviews and I can agree with someone in one of the earlier reviews in that this was definitely a top 5 steak of all time. The ribeye we had was sensational. Cooked to perfection. The staff were polite and friendly and the atmosphere was warm. We will definitely come back when we’re next in town!
Ema Bošnjaković: We visited this place on a whim and we definitely did not regret it. You can reserve a table as little as half an hour in advance online, which is very convenient. The place is beautiful, staff friendly and the steaks were absolutely god like. Amazing food and the best spinach puree I've ever had. I would definitely recommend a visit to this place.
Roee Aharoni: The best steak I had in my life (rib eye kobe beef made to perfection), the place is just perfect, the hospitality is beyond great and friendly. Recommended+++. We also ordered a Hungarian beef tenderloin which was amazing.

All the food was prepared exceptionally and tasted amazing. The portions were sizeable and we left the restaurant feeling more than satisfied. Definitely worth a visit.
Samer Khouli: Awesome Argentinian food. The empanadas were amazing, the best i've ever had the charcuterie was spot on and so was the burger. I will definitely be back and sit out side and enjoy it all again. The Mojito was also pretty rockin for an afternoon light buzz :) Afternoon lunch wasn't busy but i'm guessing you'll need a res for dinner.
oscar tanko: In my opinion, there is no place better to sit and enjoy an amazing steak in Budapest. The food is always perfectly prepared and the amount of different types of beef makes it a difficult choice. Add the great wine selections and it is a guaranteed perfect meal. Very convenient to get to, and you can walk along the Danube riverfront after dinner!

Majd Hammoudeh: The grilled plate for 2 persons was good but not great, even though we expected so much of the meat, the side dishes were more delicious. However, it was a rough night after dinner, we felt bloated and uncomfortable. The tenderloin for me was not good at all, not sure if it was the cut or the cooking, but I couldn't eat it, surprisingly the lamb chops were the most tasty. And the plate is quite expensive.

Jeffrey Barker: Likely one of the most expensive meals you’ll find in Budapest, but worth it if you’re a person who enjoys a good steak. There was t anything about this meal that wasn’t excellent and the service was, likewise, great. I wish we’d caught the name of our server because she was excellent and deserves her own shout out. Highly recommend the Hungarian Gray Cattle tenderloin. We’re positive we haven’t had a better steak. Period. Refinance the house if you need to because this place is amazing. Make reservations because you probably won’t walk in. Not with food this good.

Orel Tal: My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant the evening before the new year celebration, luckily we could arrive there on the same day without any reservation and it was a really great experience! The concept is really amazing and it reminded me of a Korean/Japanese BBQ restaurant. I loved it and everything was perfect. Also my girlfriend almost never eats outside because she doesn't trust the food since she has a sensitive stomach and I managed to get her to go there. She was really satisfied and even said that she's willing to go again. The staff were really nice and the service was excellent and pleasing. We got asked about how the food was and if we enjoyed it and they really cared for us. Everything we asked about the food got answered perfectly and they removed everything we didn't want in the meal. I think it's worth the money even if it's expensive there is a reason for it and I would definitely recommend it to others, thank you for a great time and a nice dinner just before we are ending our vacation 😁

Amanda WenChi Gáll-Huang: It has good selections of meats. We ordered T-bone steak, beef tenderloin steak, Magalica tenderloin, lamb tenderloin! We could take time to enjoy each bite without worrying our steaks were getting cold! Steaks met our expectations and lamb was surprisingly delicious! Lava cake with ice cream was a perfect ending if can find space in belly! Service was good too!

Danny Yaka: Excellent and special meat restaurant. The place is very beautiful, the service is exceptionally excellent, and the quality meats are tender and tasty. So are the extras. The goulash soup was very tasty. The method of self-roasting on a hot stone is special and very effective for keeping the heat and the degree of doneness. The service we received from the waiter Andras was extremely kind and courteous, and his recommendations for choosing the dish and the cocktail were successful. Highly recommended!

Scout Hatfield: The food was quite good, especially the Black Angus Burger and the sweet potato fries, but we came here because the Google info said it had wheelchair access, and IT. DOES. NOT. There are two large steps up to get into the restaurant, which we somehow managed, but then more steps down to use the outdoor toilet. Yes, they have "wheelchair friendly seating," as advertised, but you either need to be physically able to get out of your chair or get carried in to the restaurant. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ As a side note, the website also said the were "family friendly," but had no kid's menu, refused to make ANY substitutions, and the waiter was very abrupt with the children in our large family party. I won't judge the restaurant based on one waiter, though. tl;dr: good food, not remotely disabled accessible; family friendly for bigger kids (maybe).

Gergő Nagy-Mélykúti: I start with the most important. The stakes are great! If you like to eat meat with meat you will love this place. Why 4 stars? Everything else is missing. The side dishes were frozen, ready made, small and pricy. It feels like there is no chef in the kitchen since you are the one at the table using the lava stone. The whole picture understandable and the experience is nice once, but there is nothing what would make you come here again. It was a full house, the waiters were running and had absolutely no time for us. The first waitress told us there will be lot of explanation since it is our first time but later a different waiter summarize it with "You will get a stone, put the meat on it and make it as you like". I would like to know what they do as a preparation with the meat, what are the rules making a good stake and what are the difference between the types of meats. Even if I know most of it I am sure it would give the little extra what I felt missing. But I have to finish with this, the meat was good quality and it is hard to screw up a good meat. Overall it is fine to try them once, but only if you are a meat with meat person.

Zeeshan: It was an Ok experience to prepare my Steak on lava stone. I ordered a Rib-eye steak and Jacket potato. The quality of the meat was Ok. The caramel toffee cheese cake was luscious. I would rather praise the ambiance of the restaurant. It is good for people/friends coming to spend some quality time and do some activity together.

Petteri Pertola: Incredible experience. We were a large group and sat outside. Wine selection is great, and the hot stone where you cook your meat to your liking after they've seared it is a perfect activity especially in a group setting. The meat was great quality as well and lots of different types to choose between.

Kyle: A fantastic steakhouse. Service was excellent and we managed to sit outside but still under cover which was ideal. The meat itself was cooked exactly as requested and the service was good too. The sides are standard and given the quality of the meat could be a little better but overall a fantastic experience. Priced similar to the UK so expensive for the area but well worth the price. I had the T-Bone and it was great.
Cesar Desouza: Very comfortable restaurant. The Gaucho-style decor, the wine arrangement, the distance from the tables, with its wide and comfortable armchairs. The waiter was very kind and attentive. Taking our doubts about the various types of meats. (Despite being a typical Argentinian restaurant, nobody speaks Spanish). We made a great choice for both the dish and the wine. The wine as always two bottles of “Beats the Devil”, a delicious Shiraz (my favorite grape). As an appetizer Foie Grans with apple. With a well-defined flavor of foie and apple. As main course, Tenderloin Trio, accompanied by sauce of La Pampa and Green Pepper. For dessert, cheesecake and brownie with vanilla ice cream. Delicious lunch/Dinner.
Ivonig Corfmat: It was a good experience, with a decent service, clean place and good food. However for a steak place for this price the cooking of the meat should be perfect and the steak I asked rare was rather medium than rare. Meat was good but a bit disappointing.
Haim Rubinshtein: Very expensive, you pay extra for everything.You buy a steak for 50 euro but sauce and potatoes costs extra.I'm not taking about the food quality or service as it can vary and subjective , but no reasons can justify the price.

The ribeye and the ampnadas were great(especially the spinach), all others were just fine but noting special .

Ogeretla: It's not really a cafe, because they have a very limited menu and are open for a few hours only. However, the atmosphere is great! The people there are so nice and good. The Brazilian coffee is very tasty!

Liz Midgley: Nice place if your a meat eater, friendly staff approach but waiter did not appear happy when our drinks order was only tap water. Menu is deceiving when ordering a steak as you expect to pay the price shown on the menu when in fact the steak is priced per 100g which is not specified....plus the steak comes with nothing everything else is a added cost. I do NOT recommend the Carbona very bland & tasteless. So a Ribeye steak on its own menu price 6900ft ended up costing 13,800ft 2 out of 4 meals consumed were enjoyed the others very disappointing.

Subhasis Dey: The location is quite close to Astoria hence literally few mins walk. It has both sitout n dining inside options. I preferred Rib eye steak(med rare) and it was perfect. The meat was well cooked and quote soft as you would expect in a good steak. The texture and colour of the messy shows the awesomeness. Along with food, the ambience also made my dinner more enjoyable. However, why this review lost a star is (hence 4 star) - Welcoming guests. I waited for around 6-7mins before any staff can come (and restaurant was not at all crowded) to me and guide/show a table. While i was having dinner, I noticed the same happening with two others set of guests also. Its a small thing, but expected from a fine dining like yours which serves such good food.

Tommy Schoen: Absolutely abysmal service. To be fair, we were a large company of about 30. However, that should not warrant a waiting time for 20 minutes just for the first drinks. Some of the drinks were served even later or the wrong drinks were served. Staff bringing drinks three at a time, leaving the rest to wait until they finally get their drinks. They kept bringing us bottled water even though half of the people hadn't even gotten their ordered drinks. When the first starters finally came out, several of our company did not get theirs after everybody else had already long finished theirs. Staff were polite but literally running around like headless chickens. Often chewing food or gum. Mains finally came well after 10 pm, 45 minutes after the starters. Food was nothing special. Almost no one finished the 4-person bbq platter (which costs almost 40.000). The meat was dry and some bits were just uneatable. The only redeeming bit were the burgers that were actually nice. Besides our company, only a couple more people were here so it wasn't like it was extremely busy. Men's toilet upstairs out of order, women's toilet upstairs had no functioning lock. Only reason I'm not giving just one star is because the staff meant to do well. Would definitely not go again. They also have the audacity to charge a 12% service fee.
Brooke Cameron: Very friendly staff, one members first day and he was extremely nervous but he was excellent. Didn’t know English too well but was able to get our orders correct no problem just needed a little reassurance. The Camembert & beef brisket with rice was beautiful, cooked to perfection but unfortunately my ribs were not the best, hardly any meat on them so definitely won’t order these again, but I will return to the restaurant on my next trip to Budapest for the sake of the service, seating area and other items on the menu (burgers looked great)
Aine Reilly: We came across this place on one of our first nights in Budapest and it was so good we reserved again for a second night. The food is fantastic, lots of options and lots of drinks options, cocktails, etc. The servers on the night were all very attentive and looked after us very well especially Peter. We will definitely return here when we visit Budapest again.

Joseph Sun: The food was excellent and the waiter serving us was really polite and friendly. Elegant dining atmosphere I believe most people are here to have a nice evening chat with their friends, family or spouses while drinking some wine and eating appetizers. The main dishes aren't outstanding but the appetizers are amazing. Not easy to find a parking near by , taking the taxi or walk to here is the best way. Very nice 8/10

Eve Kondi: Food was excellent and the waiter serving us was really polite and friendly. Our only issue was the loud music which really ruins the elegant atmosphere the place wants to achieve and it was quite unpleasant that we had to shout the entire evening if we wanted to hear each other. It is also unfortunate that the restaurant does not offer any locally sourced Hungarian wines which are just as good if not better in quality and could cost one third or half than the Spanish wines which are offered at London prices. Would have given 5 stars if the music wasn’t so loud as in a cheap pub (our waiter tried to lower the volume 3 times, but his colleagues kept turning it back on louder, which is a shame).
Andrei Manea: Service was great, interior looks nice, HOWEVER we received a raw chicken. It was pink inside, you could see the blood. After we sent it back for them to cook it, we just got back the same exact chicken, not even heated more than it was before. The waiter removed it from our bill and explain that it was cooked in the sous vide before the grill, but I still don't understand why they didn't put it back on the grill for another couple of minutes. So very rude as well. The lamb chops were really thin and with a lot of fat. The burger was OK though.

CT PAN: Disappointing experience! After reading all the good comments, we decided to come here. It turned out to be very disappointing for two main reasons. Service: On a Monday night , the restaurant was not full. We were taken to a nice place. The first impression was good. Nevertheless, it went downfall gradually. We wanted to order a bottle of white wine. The server told us right away it was out of stock (We were informed before being handed the menu). We tried another white wine following his suggestion. However, it was almost warm. We informed him immediately. Later, he put it to a ice bucket. Knowing that the wine would never reach the right temperature, we decided to go for a red wine because we didn't want to have another bad surprise. Then we took a look of red wine list. Without ordering, he simply came back with a red wine suggestion. But we didn't order it. Maybe problem of languages? Tired with all the hassles, we accepted it. It was a good one. Meal: the starters are ok, nothing extraordinary. The mean dishes ( Guinea Fowl and Beef Jaw) were extremely salty so it was hard to taste other ingredients. The combination of all the different flavors was somewhat non interesting. Pity ,the beef was a good quality one. All in all, the cuisine failed to impress. Having tried so many restaurants during our week in Budapest, this is definitely not worth it considering the price for this city. The decor was beautiful but we are not here to look at the interior design. I do not recommend this restaurant.
Dave Lam: Honestly if you think it’s a Michelin restaurant standard, not quite. And food taste were a bit salty, not sure if that’s problem of hungry food or not. The duck beast is very good, same for the dessert. Other than that, the rest are acceptable but not as good as the duck beast. I tried the A La Carte menu inside of set. The red wine taste good, but is 5000ft per glass.
thomas braden: We actually tried to go to their other restaurant, Borkonyha, but they were full and the manager directed us to this, their sister restaurant just across the street. The food was lovely - prepared to perfection and served with absolute care. I tried the ravioli stuffed with tongue as an appetizer, followed by the mushroom compote. My wife had the red pepper soup (THE best of the dishes we tried!). For main dishes my wife had the pork loin, my son the beef sirloin and myself the cod with asparagus! The hollandaise sauce was more of a foam than heavy sauce and was perhaps the best that I have ever tasted! We were too full for dessert, but look forward to returning so we can sample desserts again next time. A wonderful lunch and dining experience!
Dana Bashi: Fine dining at it’s best. Very unique menus with meat,fish and vegetarian options. Amazing products and such creative and innovative dishes,with a traditional touch. We enjoyed the lilac soup and truffle starters and then the flank steak and sea brim with risotto for main. Everything was absolutely delicious. Very friendly service,they pace it between the dishes, which is fine.

Lilly Almassy: Wonderful food, with great wine pairings. The complimentary butter and paprika cream was delicious, just as the duck liver. As a main we had the aubergine and the calf and sweet bread with turnip veloute. The sweet bread was made to perfection, I never experienced better before. The restaurant being extremely popular, we were seated outside. The interior however definitely asks for a next visit. (I was slightly shocked when my partner ordering aubergine was corrected "it's eggplant" and then me ordering in hungarian a glass of "pezsgő" and pointing to a French one I was corrected to "it's champagne".)

Tamas Bakos AC: Super quality food in a nice walking area, recommend for meat lovers. The waitress was well trained, prepared and spoke good English. Nice interior and possible to sit on the terrace outside. Reasonably priced. Fully recommended.
Dominik Réz: Not easy to park near, have to got few circles before found a spot. The place is a Proper steakhouse, you can order from menu or the fridge! Never had any problem with the steaks here, sides are good so as the sauces. Good selection of wines. And if you got more room there are delicious deserts. The staff is very kind and knowledgable by the meat selection. Good for celebration, never had a Bad experience there!

António Ribeiro Lima: We tried to go to Beerstro 14, they were full and the nice pivac inside recommended us this place, the best thing she did today, we were definitely way better served here and food was astonishing. Though we have to contextualize our experience into more detailed. We started by ordering some drinks, water of course, we wanted the source of life, The Avenger's sweat. We had a long hike and Your God lost loads of water, and the requirement was the best water and they bring it in a bottle as the one you can see, if you turn the W on the other way, you know it's HIS water (sweat) - he was impressed by the quality of the bottle (the water looked tap water) Started by saying the illumination is amazing, good ambience music, though ventilation system is better when the door are open. We ordered some 300gr meat, expecting a lot, and when it arrives we started to see his hair changing color, he's getting into super Saiyan 3, those 300gr look more 150gr, we have to give him some asparagus to calm him down, and tell him everything is going to be fine, you'll find good and juicy meat when time's due. Also to point the lack of salt, maybe dead sea arrived to Budapeste. American people are annoying, girls make the good atmosphere look like a disco, where you need to shout to be heard, it was calm when the three of them decided to go to the toilet, Your God prayed for this moment. Also one of the waitress smiled to Lima of course. Very good experience overall and definitely one of the best meats we had in life (The Avenger's words) but they made us fool with the portion, that's the only reason not to give 5 PS: All the waiters look like chads

Alice Fenice: I had a dinner with some friends and I wasn't really satisfied. The food is good but the service not really. Just too slow and we had to repeat our order to the waitress all the time. And no, it wasn't busy at all! It doesn't really make sense when I order a steak and I get the wine just once I finish. Sad to say because we actually choosed it since it had really good reviews but for what you pay ( definetly over price then other restaurants in Budapest, but I do get it, is a steakhouse), not worth.

Gwen Makosana: Really disappointed with my experience. Went in for dinner and the experience was good however for the money I paid and the food do not match. I paid just over £50 for 200ml of apple juice, truffle steak and potatoes. I was also charged for “ drink tax and food tax” separately!! I queried it and apparently it’s a thing in Hungary and that was a 1/3 of my bill. Feel really robbed and disappointed. The reviews looked good and the menu prices seemed reasonable. Wish I had known about this tax thing before hand.

That was the tax you have mentioned....It is written on our menu everywhere, we are really sorry you have not noticed that. It is although general in the restaurants in Hungary to charge 10-15% service fee on the food & drinks.
Misscheca: So far the best steak restaurant I went to in Budapest. Excellent service, super tasty food and great selection of wines. We were also allowed in with our pet which is tumb up for us. If you wanna spen great evening and eat some delicious food you have to stop by. Will definitely come back on our next visit.

Vhanessa Murillo: High price for extremely slow service (and it want’s busy). I order a salad: prawns really greasy, almost no avocado, really disappointing. The meat was ok. We wanted dessert but after waiting so long for get attention from the waitress we change our mind. Fun fact, no options for vegans BUT they have vegan brownies.

Tom Grange: Really lovely restaurant, I went out for dinner on a Monday evening by myself and it wasn’t busy at all. The staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions. They clearly had made the effort to understand the menu and Adele was especially welcoming and helpful. The prices are fairly high but the quality makes you realise why.

Huge variety of dishes, several kinds of meat that are cooked on the grill, a large selection of seafood. Waiters actively offer alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, quickly clean dishes from the table. Completely justify the cost, I recommend.

Jude Jerry: I went to have lunch here with a friend, they have all kinds of foods. This is not a typical restaurant, they have a constant all you can eat service which you pay for and have two hours to eat and drink whatever they have (there's a huge variety), for dinner you have three hours instead of two. The space well decorated, big and divided into different sections to accommodate any number of groups, it is well staffed such that you never have to wait too long to be served a drink. The staff are nice and they're constantly cleaning up after you so you can have enough space to go get more food or ask for drinks (the drinks are all included in the price), the price is very reasonable for the service. I highly recommend this place for everyone (kids included) because they have good food for all kinds of diets; omnivorous, vegetarian or vegan.
Zeeshan: It was an excellent experience to eat buffet at kiralay branch. I booked a table for the lunch for 2 hours. Everything was highly organised and the servers were always alert and provided exceptional service. There was an extensive selection of food, salad and dessert for the disposal. In addition there was wide selection of fresh fruit and dry fruit too. The buffet also includes free alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks ( except shots). I highly recommend this buffet to anyone who wants to try exceptional variety of food including Hungarian food. They even serve shark 🦈 meat and catfish at the grill and shrimps 🍤 at the salad bar. Last but not the least, please don't forget to book a table for you and your friends through their website. Update: Went there again after one year and found the same quality of service and food. Also, received 2 complementary pizza 🍕 slices. Both times I went in the afternoon slot that starts at 12:00 until 17:00. This time the restaurant was almost full and people were constantly entering and leaving. Nicely managed by the staff and efficient service. I highly recommend this restauran!

Irene Siegl: Love it! I had my first açai bowl in London, and since I moved to Budapest I couldn’t find a place that had the same standard until now. There is a wide range of toppings to choose from, 3 bowl sizes a also a few smoothies. In the summer you have 2 outdoor tables which is always nice. The place is also clean and the staff super friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

w ss: A beautiful restaurant in the center of Budapest. We just loved the decor and the ambiance. As for the food and service, both excellent. The service was attentive and yet not intrusive. The food was delicious and some dishes had a Portuguese influence as we found out the chef is from Portugal. Wonderfully made dishes with excellent taste. Now Essencia is one of our favorites in Budapest.
Kimberly Coniam: Absolutely lovely. Wonderful restaurant with equally wonderful service. This was my first time at a Michelin star restaurant and it did not disappoint. I got the Hungarian menu and my friend the Portuguese/Hungarian menu, both with the accompanying wines. Every course was lovely and the wine pairings fantastic. My favorite course was the Dödölle” & caviar, and I never thought of myself as a caviar/roe person. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough!
Kiss Zsolt: Traveling around we found in Hungary this great restaurant from Tiago and Éva. I would have given 5 stars if all the courses where perfect and had a great teste. We had the 6 course meal. I’m total ever Bing had a great aroma and great texture. The desert was not for my taste. I really didn’t like it. That’s why I can’t give a 5 star rating. The rest of the dishes where good. From a rating from 1 to 10 I would have given 8. The service was great. The food was ready in no time. I would recommend talking more about what you are serving and explaining it more in detail. As a conclusion it was a good evening.
Tomás Silva Queiroga: It is not by mistake it has a Michelin star. I went in a party of 2, and we were well served from start to end, and, although we ordered the 5 course menu, the kitchen gave us 4 extras. The experience and food was totally worth it. Booking in advance is recommended. They really accommodate food allergies and (health) intolerances. Everyone speaks good English there too. I recommend it.

Shay Shapira: In the past year I’ve traveled around the world and ate in some of the best Michelin star restaurants in the world, looking for the best culinary experience. Yesterday was extraordinary! From the design of the restaurant to the kindness of the staff. I can proudly say that this was one of the BEST meals I’ve had- the closest to perfection. I would recommend this restaurant not only to those who are already in Budapest, I believe you should come to Budapest especially for this restaurant! Thank you with all my heart to the amazing staff of 3.12.21 night- you really made my trip. Promise to come again soon- hopefully for the second and the third Michelin stars.
ricky chuang: It deserves a Michelin star. Because of the late reservation, there was only one available time during Christmas week unfortunately. Surprisingly, even the lunch menu catches my appetite. I’m glad that it’s my first meal after arriving Budapest. Highly recommended! It will be a once in a lifetime experience.

Trang Lieu: One of the most recent restaurant in Budapest that received a Michelin star, and i must say, very well deserved. Essencia has a very elegant and cozy ambience, i love the color of wood matching with the blue theme, it welcomes you in and eases you from the stress of the outside world to enjoy and escape to the culinary feast. As expected from a one star Michelin restaurant, everything was on point and well prepared. There was no room for mistakes - the dishes came out to the exact temperature, plating was beautiful, all the ingredients blend well together. Simply a masterful execution of the chef's vision and skill. However, i feel like all the dishes were on the conservative side - solid in taste, delicious, but lack a twist that will make you excited, and they didn't make use of Hungarian's tradition. Still, that is not a criticism, it's more of a simple thought of what could be added to elevate the experience. Wine pairing is definitely a must to bring out the complete flavor of the dish. I remember the octopus dish was very typical, but with my wine pairing it transformed into a deeper taste of umani. Definitely a compliment to the somelier. Overall, I enjoyed all the food, and it was a solid choice if you want a delicious time with certainty. Waiters are nice and timely, and the somelier definitely knows his wine.
Almog Carmeli: Wow! We had such a good time There. first of all the service was amazing, and really kind. The Food was sooooo good!! Out of this world. The atmosphere was great and even the Chef served us the dessert. This was our first michlen dinning, and it was amazing.

Aaron Santa María: Great restaurant along a hip street in Budapest. In general, the food was flavorful and everything was priced well. The chicken deserves praise for its tenderness. You also have to try their unique spicy blueberry sauce to accompany it. Lastly, the service was friendly and very fast—food was ready five minutes after ordering. Highly recommended!
Miklós Szabó: Delicious chicken and fries, a very good atmosphere I the middle of the party disctrict. It is pricy compared to other similar places in Budapest. Their cheesecake I do not recommend.

faisal al-debie: I went with couple of friends to try the grilled chicken, we were greeted very rudely by some guy who asked us if we have a reservation when we said we don't he got upset and told us he can let us in for 1 hour max which was fine by us so we agreed, however it took them 15 mins just to take the order, plot twist half of the place was empty and by the time we left it was still empty , the food was Overpriced, very small chickens, no flavours at all but very gamey, they of course mixed our drinks and we didn't get what we asked for, we ordered a chicken and half with fries, they got us the one chicken and 20 minutes later we got the rest of the order after we asked twice, when the fries came it was cold because it was setting on the bar for a while so ask if we can get a new one so they took it very nicely and said of course only to re-fry and bring it back overcooked full of oil and boiling hot. I don't recommend it at all
Jesus Garcia Garcia (jesus_gg): The food was delicious and the servers were very attentive. I recommend ordering the chicken and the duck. A curious fact about this restaurant is that it is of Spanish origin and most of the waiters speak Spanish. Recomiendo ir aquí si hablas español y quieres estar un rato como en casa sin hablar inglés o húngaro!

Johanne Tandy: We came by this place on a whim and was not disappointed! Usually I find that chicken can be dry but there was no need for the extra sauces that we ordered (even though they were just as delicious). The chicken was absolutely lovely (the "breast" option on the menu was ⅔ of the chicken!) All of the food was lovely, service was efficient and friendly and the place had a lovely atmosphere - all plates were left clean.
Аizhan Мyrzaly: Really bad experience, ordered duck breast and did not get any meat inside. So did not eat anything. Ordered mango lemonade and no taste of mango. Extremely costy for the money that gave. Bad service, so doesn’t worth to go.

Cesar Desouza: Perfect selection of excellent prime meats. Courteous and professional waiters. A well-prepared menu with a wide variety of traditional country cuts of meat. The portions are very generous and the meat tastes delicious. The wine list well diversified. Cozy atmosphere with a very sophisticated decor. Finally, the delicious desserts. We urgently need to return to this restaurant.
Kenneth Madsen: Absolutely top shelf dining experience with courteous and professional staff, very nice locale and situated centrally in inner Budapest. Absolutely a meat lover's paradise with a spread that could choke a T-Rex! Huge selection of cuts, combinations and absolutely cooked to perfection. All beautifully served and with a bit of showmanship flourish as can be expected from modern cuisine. Highly recommended.

Lorena Nanjara: Love this restaurant!! The atmosphere, the food, drinks, service everything! The small recommendation for slow eaters like us. We ordered steak platter for 4 (delicious!!) but some of the food got cold towards the end of the meal. There should be a way to keep it warm or to get meat selection one by one. Regardless, it was amazing experience overall.

Arda Berk Ardor: Amazing steak house place just beside the St. Stephen’s Basilica. As soon as you enter the place, it gives you the vibe that you should expect something good. The staff is very polite and professional service was even better than food!
neil burke: I have eaten in some outstanding steak houses and this experience was up there with the best. Service was Michelin standard. We shared the platter for two. Had a couple of the Samurai cocktails and the bread is freshly baked. Shrimp in garlic starter was sublime.

Pero B: Everything perfect from the ambient, and staff to the food. We came without a reservation (highly recommend) and the staff found a free table for us. The steaks are amazing and melt when you're eating them. Great choice of wines and a sommelier to help you find the best to you liking. Shame we found the steakhouse only the last night of our trip.
Amy Z: Service: took 2 hours to get our mains out. Clearly forgot our soup and sent it 1 hour and 50 in. Two tables who sat later got served their food before us, similar dishes. Asked them for smaller cuts because the menu was massive. Maybe a language barrier but server assistant proceeded to explain every cut in a condescending tone and asked if it was my first time in a steakhouse. I just wanted to know the smaller cuts :( Did not clear any of our drinks or offer more water until we asked. Food: No crust on steak. Sauces we're unflavourful and did not compliment the steak. They left our mash under the heat lamps that the top layer changed colour already. Ambiance: great for occasions because they make a big deal. When we were there, it was a mix of families and groups of lads. Our server was helpful when he was around. Lots of amazing food in Budapest, not worth wasting your time here. Spend your money elsewhere.
