Sakaki Kota: One of the employee told me that I am a bad “male” because my female friend was holding the heavier stuff. She also told us that male should always carry heavier stuff because you have to respect woman. Well, I’m very confused because it’s my first time facing such sexism and also very sad because K mart was one of the best Asian food market in Budapest. For owner, I just want to tell you that employing sexist may ruin your store’s reputation. P.S. And yes, the employee was “magyar középkorú hölgy” as wrote in the comment before me.

Graeme Miller: Smaller, downtown outlet from the Korean store in the Roszadomb centre. Good for a quick fix, however, for a better selection I would recommend the trip up to the Roszadomb centre.

Alex Lakatos: Located in the heart of the city, just a few minutes walk from Jászi Mari sqr/tram stop. Mid-range prices, great selection, very friendly and helpful staff. They have home made kimchi, wich is just perfect. Tip : if you buy the homemade kimchi, put it in the fridge ASAP because due to the rapid fermentation the closed container tends to boost, risk of explosion :)

Van Quan: Great variety of goods, especially Chinese food. Staffs are not so helpful and they do not accept card payment, but they can speak English, which is a good point. Prices are quite high comparing to Prague or Warsaw groceries, but you can find some hidden gems there.
Michal Chovanec: Great place when you are into Asian, clothes food and many others things you can buy there.
Gopal Bawari: Prices are really good and lots of Asian food stuff is available like rice,spices and vegetables.

Lajos Molnár: A very good deal! I would call it a toy store, a gift shop, but it can also be called a home furnishing store (as others have classified it as the latter). It radiates a real Japanese feeling! The products that we viewed or the ones we bought seem to be of very good quality. The plush figures are very pleasantly soft to the touch! There is still room for improvement in the service, but maybe we just caught their bad day. (Contrary to the map, it is not on the side of Árkád towards Örs vezér tere, but almost at Spar, OTP, on the other side.)
Jinjin Zhu: They are all made in China and are pretending to be Japanese here. Deceiving consumers, goods that cannot be sold in China are taken to Europe as Japanese goods to cheat consumers.

Gabor Aczel: Amazing selection of spices and various other ingredients for Asian, Middle Eastern, African and other kitchen. You should be able to find almost all ingredients you may need. The only downside is that the store is a bit on the expensive side and parking is difficult in the area.
Vi Diệu: Huge selection of tea and spices. A heaven for foodies!
Gergő Cser-Kovács: Extremely huge selection of different spices and ingredients not only from Asia but every continent. The first place to go if you want to cook something special but not sure where to get everything. Especially effective combined with the great market hall right next door
John A: This is the non Asian owned place where you can purchase most of the stuff required to cook traditinal food. PRICE is $$$$ about 3~4 times of price you would pay at home. So 4 stars not 5 for that reason. Advantange is the location and selection.

Bethan Victoria: An oasis in Budapest. The owners source the tea all themselves from small farms in China and Japan and can answer literally any question you through at them about the teas. The decor is very new, homely and stylish too. A great place to have a nice, warm cup of tea as the weather gets colder. I had matcha (one from their extensive list) and it came with a cup of hot, green tea and a pistachio and cranberry biscuit. I might have to make another trip to Budapest just to visit this place again!

Robbe D'hondt: I love tea, but this was my first time experiencing traditional tea. We had a wonderful time and got a great explanation of how it all works. Friendly people and a very cozy tea house. The tea is of great quality and was bought directly from the farmers in Asia. A must-visit for tea lovers!
John-Henry Krueger: Top tier tea selection and quality. The owners have done all their homework and built many connections/relationships with tea farms all over Asia. There is an extensive list of teas at the front desk. You can buy tea brewing equipment for loose leaf, matcha, and ceremonial brewing sets as well. There are no flavoured teas. I believe there was a new list of herbal teas the last time I went. Delivery is an option as well.

Silent Truth Resolved: You can find a lot of Asian food here (Chinese, Japanese, Korean). Not only snacks, but also different ingredients for Asian cuisine, and Asian dumplings were my favourite.

Szekerka Kende: This place saved our sunday evening sushi plan, since its open until 22.00 every day. Super good variety of food and drinks. Recommmended 10/10

Kai Söderström: Very cute little establishment. We had two different kinds of omelettes, info on the ingredients was a bit shady (the okonomiyaki in this place seem to contain pork by default). Interesting to follow the cooking while sitting on the counter. Didn’t like the wooden utensils though. Taste was good but not the best I’ve had.
Atakan M. AKIL: Here is a cute little restaurant in the city center. We had both classic and all-in-one okonomiyaki. For me, the all-in-one okonomiyaki was much better than the classic one. It is also enjoyable to watch it while your food is being prepared. The staff was smiley and friendly. Overall, I really liked this experience.

Tip L: Authentic and delicious Japanese food in an underground restaurant. The portion can be a bit small but the food certainly was very fresh and tasty. We arrived early in the evening so it was very quiet with a relaxing atmosphere. Efficient service and helpful staff. Definitely recommend!

Okan Bostan: Today we have had our late lunch at Tokio Restaurant in Budapest. A fancy Japanese restaurant with great selection of sushi 🍣. The food was outstanding and very delicious. For the first time I had the Japanese beer Asahi. Very tasty. Actually everything was superb except that I wished that the young man would have asked me for some more drinks, unfortunately he chose to chat with his workmates. Nothing to dramatize but just sad. A big thanks goes to the kitchen staff.

Betty Szabo: Exceptional food. During our visit the dishes were outstandingly good from the starters through the main-till the dessert. We’ve tried the oriental cocktail which is highly recommended as well as the chicken gyoza. Service was quick the staff was friendly and the place had a good atmosphere. 5stars!!! You won’t be disappointed :)
Vinh Vinh: I tried the tenderloin ramen here. I have to say it leaves much to be desired. The soup is far from on point despite the decent noodles and meat. The overall vibe is really nice, although it hurts your eyes a little being in a dark place for too long. Overall not bad, but certainly not the best in Budapest.
taha: The place is really beautiful. We were seated at a table of 5 and the service started off well. The food arrived very quickly and it was delicious. However as the meal progressed the service became horrible. I was told that the last order would be at 11pm and I tried to get a waiter for about 5 minutes, waving at multiple of them who seemed to be ignoring me, then they all left the room so I went to the front of the restaurant and asked for a waiter and waited a further 10 minutes and when I asked the lady at the front she told me that all the waiters taking a break, in last 10 minutes remaining to order…very strange time for all the waiters to take a break. And when our waiter came back he offered no apologies at all and the service was very rushed, don’t rush me after spending the last 15 minutes being unavailable. I felt disrespected and regretful for even spending my money here with such rude waiters. I understand that it was the end of the night but when you are paying over a hundred thousand for a few people to eat you’d expect decent service until the closing time, very disappointing and my friends and I definitely won’t be back.
Aksinia Pankratova: Cool place with a big price. Delicious. Soya sauce is very spicy be default. That’s not nice because restaurant kinda decides for me that I will eat spicy. What if I don’t want? Anyway, food is great. But price…… not sure if it worth it.
