MyWine Wine bar & Shop: what do users think?

Anastasia Karpovets: The place has really nice choice of wine. The lady advices some nice wine to try and also told us stories about winemakers in some regions of Hungary. Very comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

Sherry Jury: Very nice little wine shop. Comfortable seating, nice selection of Hungarian wines. The cheese plate that was served to the next table looked very tasty. Visited here 2.5 years ago, glad to see it was still here

PhiL Marcisz: Went for a walk in Budapest (Pest side) and visited this little and cosy wine bar. I was the only customer at that moment (after 21.00 pm). I told the charming host I heard good stuff about Hungarian wines. She basically provided me with an unexpected but truly fantastic little wine-tasting adventure. I’m talking about Passion (with a capital P). I truly loved her expert knowledge about the local wines. I went for a glass of wine but got much more than I expected. I ordered some nice chunks of cheese and enjoyed both white and red wines. I’m not a wine expert but Hungarian wines are really tasty! I highly recommend this cosy spot. Probably try to go when it’s not too busy. I can imagine it would be hard to provide all the stories when the place is full.

Laura Campbell: Stumbled across this little wine bar and we were so glad we did! The woman serving us was really knowledgeable and gave great advice, explains all about the grape varieties and giving us a few to try. Very reasonably priced and a great little place.

K Adams: Lovely little wine place. They were kind enough to give a recommendation based on my tastes which was spot on and very reasonably priced. I would go back

Gabriela S: Very nice, cozy place with people who know their business, especially Matyas who had some really good recommendations and interesting insights about how the wines were produced. Got very good wine recommendation and actually found my favorite wine. If you like dryish white wines I can highly recommend the spiegelberg Chardonnay (2015) as well as the Barta Furmint Válogatás. Although not the cheapest for the list - they are absolutely and without any doubt worth the price. Very recommendable place and wines, we will definitely come back at our next visit. Also great price quality ratio. Thank you!

Henrique Barbone: I can only echo the 5 star reviews on this beautiful wine bar! I really appreciate the fact that it’s possible to order 50ml portions, which allowed me to make a wine tour of Hungary without getting completely drunk. I highly recommend Fay-Domb, a wine from Gyöngyös, about 70 km east of Budapest, made with Sargomuskataly (Muscat Blanc a Petits Grains). It has a lovely zesty, citrusy flavour that is like nothing I had ever tasted before.

jimizuma: Best wine tasting shop I visited out of 6 others during my stay in Budapest. The girl helping me was very knowledgable and friendly. Looking forward to someday going back

Dominika Graupnerová: excellent wine, beautiful surroundings and very pleasant service. Thank you very much:)

Drop Shop Wine Bar: what do users think?

Dmitry Baranov: Look no further, the best wine bar for wine explorers. Incredible wine collection, huge choice of wines by glass, kind host speaking English. When there is 34C outside, the place to be.

Fletum Fletum: Nice wine shop and bar. They had a pretty nice selection of Hungarian, Italian, French and some Austrian wines. However, the staff member was trying to upsell us some super expensive wines, even though we said we wanted something basic. Was not very impressed. Also you can sit down here and have a drink.

Vladimir Dzalbo: They have good wine selection, but the place has no soul (simple furniture, not cozy light), but even more importantly there is no service. I always think of a wine bar as a place to chat and learn about wine. Staff here just stands and stares at you without even a hint of volunteering to offer any advice :(

René T.: Upscale wine bar and wine shop. The place is truly about fine wine and champagne. Sophisticated service, wide selection by the glass. Carefully selected international and Hungarian items.

Csaba Harmath: My favourite wine bar in Budapest, offering a well thought mix of Hungarian and international selection, also a large sample of champagnes.

P Salomon: Nice place, but highly priced. Not all wines proposed were really good.

Henrique Barbone: Very refined wine bar: good place to come to if you are looking for a quiet environment and knowledgeable oenological advice. The Szepsy Hasznos Furmint I drank here is one of the best Hungarian wines I ever tasted. The wines can be a bit pricey. I wish it were possible to order 50ml portions.

Tom Boyle: Great wine selection and plenty of advice ti choose. Also the food platter was fresh and varied. Lovely.

Serge De Marre: Great wine bar and shop. The owner always give plenty of info when you’re looking to by a bottle. The range is huge: from the famous champagne brands to little known but good local wines. I recommend!

Szonja Balogh: Great selection of international and local wines from some very special to high end and rare pieces. Nice atmosphere and kind staff.

WINE NOT? Hungarian Wine Bar & Shop: what do users think?

Wanderers Compass Travel Blog: The store is on the Pest side of Budapest and it is a charming and beautifully decorated wine store and bar. We went in for a wine tasting and what we imagined would be a 90 minute visit went over three hours. We enjoyed an incredible tour of the wine regions of Hungary and tasted so many wines we lost count. All while being educated on the intricacies of the wine by the very knowledgeable and friendly owner. We could not have asked for a better experience and what an absolutely cool environment. There is outside seating but we stayed inside under the AC. The setting is so cozy and fun. The decor just delightful and so well done. This is a store serious about their wine while making the experience exceptional and relaxed for their customers. Price points were excellent. Our visit to Wine Not was one of the highlights of our trip! We can’t recommend them enough. When in Budapest and if you enjoy wine this is a must do. Whether a tasting or just a nice glass of wine Wine Not will impress you. They even have some small plates on the menu to compliment your wine experience. We have done wine tastings all over the world and this is was such an exceptional experience!

Ivonig Corfmat: A very good looking place with a great selection of wines. The decoration is fully wine themed and it gives a great atmosphere. Prices are coherent with the location, rather on the high end for Budapest. We tried multiple wines, even bought some bottles to go, and generally had a good experience, however one was very weird (fizzy, a bit acid, pretty sure the bottle had an issue) and when we mentionned it was not at all considered by the waiter, rather saying we were the problem. Maybe the wine was supposed to be like this but the minimum would have but to consider our remark and try it. Great experience otherwise.

Sherry Jury: This may be our favourite wine bar in Budapest. Great decor, relaxing music playing and a great selection of wines. The tapas selection was also very good. Will definitely visit here again

Greg G: Pricey, but maybe worth it. In my opinion overrated, on the other hand the variety of good wines is impressive. Not too busy, yet food leaves the kitchen very slowly. Nice service though.

Chloe Busch: Such a beautiful wine bar. The wine was so good, I just wanted to keep trying more but I thought it best not to if you know what I mean… The owner was very knowledgeable and hospitable!

7amdiz: Loved the experience there. The owners were super friendly. The have an amazing collection of wines and a cheese platter to die for. Great cozy place!

Tasos Vanis: I truly believe that it’s the best wine bar in Budapest! Unique experience, we had a great bottle of wine and two plates of cheese and hams.

Tom Lipfriend: Beautiful venue with vaulted ceilings and amazing decorations. Outside seating too. The wines are delicious and the hosts very helpful in choosing wines. The cheese platter was huge and delicious too. Would 100% reccomend going.

Bortársaság - Andrássy: what do users think?

Cesar Desouza: Strolling along Andrássy út, I walked into this wine shop. They have a lot of good Hungarian wines. I chose a Syrah, suggested by the seller. The seller, in addition to being polite, demonstrates a deep knowledge of wines and beers.

ela esmer: When I wanted to change the wine I bought by mistake, they did not cause any problems even though I paid for it. I was in a hurry as it was the last day of my vacation, they took my information and sent the remaining money to my account even though I left the country. They were really kind and honest.

Eike Arndt: We went to this restaurant because of a recommendation from a business partner. When we arrive it looked like a private party. But someone, as it turns out the boss, invited us to come in and have dinner and something to drink. He told us that he invited business partners and friends to celebrate the last evening of his restaurant! He will close the restaurant and focus on his wine distribution business. It was a very special and unforgettible evening with the boss and his friends. We say thank you and wish you all the best for the future!

Adam Szuly: Once highly popular, this downtown eatery is still offering high quality food with a local touch. No reservation is possible and as the place is within the theater district, dome peak hours can be expected depending on the season. But in general the crowd is torelable and with a little luck, you can have a table even on a weekend evening. The place is also equipped with a wine shop that carries an impressive selection of local wine, hence the name. Service is friendly and timely, also in English.

tammber: I wish I could give a 0. Lanc Hid location.about 2 weeks ago I wanted to get some wines...my Canadian friend recommended this place...as I grabbed handle to open it in a split second a female locked the door from inside and walked away without a glimpse or a word...7.58 pm...typical eu trash...

Sean Edgley: Somebody wrote in their review that this place is permanently closed but it is not. Even during the pandemic, they are still open as of this review. This is by far the smallest of their shops in Budapest, but they still have some great choices. The service is friendly and helpful too. No great surprises in their offerings, as they tend to sell the same stuff, but I appreciate the nice service and the wifi to check wine reviews.

Marlou wine bar & store: what do users think?

Dominika Nosková: This is a great wine bar. natural wines only, mostly local. Gorgeous space. Very knowledgable staff, the waiter made good recommendations. We also bought some bottles as gifts, beautiful artwork on most of the bottles. I think they also have some snacks. They have quite a lot of by the glass options, my favorite was the red babel.

Lori Hahn: Marlou Wine Bar is gem! Don’t miss this! They got every detail right! Excellent Hungarian wines. Incredible French cheeses. Stellar service. romantic ambiance. The playlist is on point! We went here three nights in a row!

Tímea Hajdu: Accidental, pleasant little find on Google. Beautiful and cozy. And was able to bring my fur baby inside on a cold, rainy evening. Thank you to our wonderful server. I’m looking forward to exploring this beautiful shelf a bit more next time.

Jiri Vyzourek: Great wine bar with natural wines.Owner has many years of experience and know recomend. Also many options by the glass locals and Europeans winemakers.Original food plates, highly recomend eggplant cream, it was avesome.

Cecily Leatham: Lovely local wine bar. Non touristic. Great local wines, lovely ambience and decor. Definite one to check out.

Roland Trimmel: Superb. We’ve had the wine tasting menu, available on a Tue night: each of the wines (four of them in total) were absolutely outstanding, exceeding anything that I’ve had before (.. and I’ve been lucky to travel a lot and taste excellent wines). Same for the service, just lovely — the owner breathes wine down to the last cell of his body, and really digs deep into any of the wines he serves you. You’ll be served some small sides with the wines and will be seated in a really beautiful surrounding. Just perfect to have a nice conversation and enjoy some of the best, yet unique organic wines around.

Emilia Grigorean: Great place! Very cosy atmosphere with nice music and lots of good wines. The staff is very knowledgeable and will assist you in making your wine choice. The food is also very good and definitely worth trying along with the wine. The service was great and we had a very good time at Marlou.

Sandor Kovacs: Such an authentic winebar! There is plenty of good wines from all over the world. All of the staff are very kind and really interest to get the right wine for you. After a busy day excellent place to entertaine. Strongly recommend. A +++

Mija Kott: They have good local wines. Employees know their job and will help you choose what suits you

Agnes Heim: Outstanding wine bar with extraordinary meals , exceptional natural wines , lovely music and friendly , warm , welcoming atmosphere . Experts advise you to choose wines for gifts or for an aperitif before the Opera . Highly recommended !

Tasting Table Budapest Shop: what do users think?

Carrie Tucker: Our sommelier was Nicki and she gave us a great education on Hungarian wine. Especially for this novice. I really enjoyed the event with interesting fellow travelers from around the world.

Alejandro: Amazing place!!! Highly recommended. Knowledgeable people and high quality customer service. Robert helped me with my wine, taking care of my preference and telling me about the hungarian wine (reason I came - to know more and try some). +Pic of my fav! Visit!

Luciana Gomes: Excellent ambiance. The staff is cozy and diligent. They make you feel like home. The wine tasting is superb passing the knowledge in a very dynamic and sympathetic way!! The food and wine were delicious. The chef is very enthusiastic! I loved the experience and totally recommend it!

Soobin Han: Amazing small wine shop with huge variety in wine as well as beer and other specialities. Staff is very helpful

William: Do it. Just do it. Fab experience, learn about Hungarian wine, drink Hungarian wine, then after a glass or two you will soon be chatting away to the other people on the experience. Our sommelier, Sezabi, was great, informative and kept the atmosphere jovial

Stephanie Gilbert Yoga: Not to be missed. This beautiful space is paired with beautiful wines. As a traveler, I found Hungarian wines to be underrated as well as interesting abroad. Pop in, sample the local cheeses, enjoy the flights and get yourself educated on an incredibly interesting evening. I came here by way of a great food tour: Taste Hungary. This was on my list, and was thrilled via the food tour that we had the room nearly to ourselves and both bites and wines to sample.

KJ: We spent an absolutely incredible afternoon here in Budapest. Lila was amazing and recommended many delicious Hungarian wines for us to try. Food was fabulous. We actually left with a new wine suitcase full of wine because it was so delicious and well priced! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

Malatinszky Borszaküzlet Budapest: what do users think?

Mark Haas: Csaba Malatinszky is one of the pioneers of the modem Hungarian wine industry. This shop was literally the first place I visited when I arrived in Budapest in 1995! I wanted to learn about Hungarian wines, and Csaba set me up with private tastings with several winemakers in the southern town of Villány, the Napa Valley of Hungary, including Attila Gere and József Bock. I will be forever grateful to Csaba for his kindness and help in introducing me to the great wines of Hungary.

Lex Soog: We came here to buy local wine. Very knowledgeable staff. The wine selection is not huge but everything you can wish for to discover Hungarian wine.

Tibor Bartha: Excellent Hungarian wine. Sophisticated, layered, elegant, complex. Try Malatinsky wines to have a good impression about wine making in Hungary

Daniel Paris: Helpful owners with a great selection of Hungarian wines and palinkas.

Dlou Han: Natural wine from Vilany, they sell almost complete production, specialy old vintages!

Ιωάννα Καλιανιώτη: Bad food and bad service

Anna Jacquet: I found this place, known or much publicized, on my travel guide. I bought a red and a Hungarian white, I asked the seller and owner of the place to advise me of good Hungarians (because they also sell French and Italian wine...). Each bottle €30 on average, white: cork that breaks inside when opening and very strong taste of 90° alcohol, red? I believe that this gentleman does not know good wine, I am convinced that correct Hungarian wine must exist. The scam this store (the four reviews given with 5 stars, are they friends???), I would have bought wine in a spar or a lidl, it would have been good and not expensive.

Zoltán Tóth-Heinemann: Great place, nice seller

Tim Lewis: Great range of wines. And beer also. Dangerous store as close to home and passing it way too often and too often tempted. Great option for a wine, to either drink there, or to buy in their shop. Recommended.

eilat aviv: Very nice staff, the owner speaks English. The wines are good! They have different menus for wine tasting and some cheese plates. Fair prices. Also the music is good (light rock punk music) We enjoyed it very much!

David Pruden (Dave): I bought a nice bottle of wine and stopped for a cheeky draught Hungarian cider. Very nice. Shop is also A/C which is perfect this evening :))

Ashley Bell: We stayed at the Atrium Fashion Hotel in Budapest and discovered this fabulous wine bar by chance as we explored the local area on foot. We almost became regulars! A wonderful and extensive range of wines for all budgets and all delicious. A great laid back place to spend an evening with friendly staff, clean and quirkily decorated loos and a relaxing ambience. I wish we had somewhere like this in Newcastle, I was sorry to leave!

Alex Litvinka: A good place to visit. Wonderful guys working there. They can explain everything about the drinks you buy and help you with a good advice 👍👍🥂

Padmaka Mirihagalla: Nice range of drinks and professional staff. The only thing I’d improve is the interior ambiance of the place. It’s too bright and not cozy.

Karol Dem: This guy knows what he sells and how wine should be served. Prices of bottles are 30% higher than usual, but you have all you could wish in one place.

Richard Kalmar: Really friendly place with fantastic selection of wine, pálinka and a professional service!

Beto Díaz: Nice place in Budapest. They have a lot of wines and options. The prices are fair. The music was also perfect. A good option if you want something relax and have a drink

Sam Eggdeed: nice choice of wines and very friendly staff

Sándor Tóth: Borsuli is a really good initiative allowing wine enthusiasts to meet, learn and taste. I wish there was a "season ticket" for a set of courses.

Ying WANG: Very good wine selection at a reasonable price. Right next to the Parliament!

Miklós Szabó: Great selection of wines (many local ones) for the best price. Always happy to shop here. While we have some favorites, sometime I ask for recommendations from the staff, who are eager to help and explain the differences, specialities, etc. They also have a 10% loyalty discount, which is very nice

Alexandra W: Nice small wine store. We bought wines from the price segment 3-4000 huf, all was good. No tasting therefore I would not buy from the more expensive bottles. There is a good selection of Hungarian wines, but some sorts can be found in supermarket like Tesco cheaper. One star minus for the two shop assistants did not offer us help or advice though. They have a club card but only worth when one is a frequent buyer.

Nikita: The staff are helpful and speak good English, the wine selection is good and is relatively cheap compared to the quality.

E: One of the best places to buy decent wines. Excellent selection of Hungarian and international wines. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. The monthly selected wine boxes are a very good way to explore the newest arrival of local wines.

Tim Lewis: Great shop with huge selection of wines from all over! A great place to learn about wine also with their wine school which is both educational, and delicious. Recommended.

David B: Had a nice wine tasting experience. English speaking, knowledgable and tried a variety of Hungarian wines. Nice environment and very accommodating hosts. They also sell nibbles like cheese, cured meats. They have 3 or 5 item wine tasting options for a fair price.

Laura Dawson: Very knowledgeable owner who recommended a great selections of Hungarian wines for us to try. Relaxed atmosphere with a sample of cheese to pair with the wine. It’s lovely to get to experience new tastings with a great guide.I would recommend the Cabernet franc!

AELUC SOGARD: Excellent shop for wine lovers… HUNGARIAN wine 🍷 lovers or international… Nice recommandations and guarantees 😄 Nice stories about Hungarian wines with Turks 🤣 And lovely PAINTINGS 🖼… that I would have bought them if I would known that are for sale … AND AS A POSITIVE FEEDBACK - USE HUNGARIAN CHEESE 🧀 not french ones 🤫👌🏻

E -: *Friendly owner with a variety of Hungarian wines* I really enjoyed my visit here. No wonder why there were so many good reviews in Google. Thank you Mr. Sergei(I am not sure about the spelling). He was very helpful and friendly. He was very helpful and knew a lot about wines. If you have a certain preference of wine or grapes, ask him. He will give you some advices and recommendations. He speaks English. I told him that I am not sure whether I want to buy one premium wine or several good/normal wines. So he let me try different wines such as Aszu / red / white / rose. Then I told him about my budget and he helped me deciding. There is a wide range of hungarian wines from cheap to premium. I got 4 dry wines at the end : blend of grapes, balaton, grape from hill etc. I am really happy and excited to try these with my friends. This time I didnt have enough budget, but next time I would like to buy Aszu wine as well. It was very special. It seemed like there is also wine tasting, so if you are unsure with buying, you can also go for this. To sum up, if you are a wine person, I think it is really nice place for both visiting and buying. I am willing to visit here again if I come BUD 😁 친절하시고 도와주려고 하시는 사장님이셨어요. 와인 취향이랑 예산 말씀드리면 고르는거 잘 도와주실거예요. 다들 즐거운 여행되시길!

Stavros Lns: The greatest wine tasting experience and wine discussion !! Sergey is apleasure to talk with.

Lucre Pepe: very nice and generous degustation, in a very confortable location, greate selection of local wine and right price. Special tancks to Eniko super prepareted and kind!

Michael Leipold: t Top vinery for hungarian wine. The staff is nice, with a bog knowledge about wine. they do samples and send also wine to europe. I bought there a very Good pinot Noir and furmint. They serve also food like ham and cheese

Arszenily Sohin: Nice selection of Hungarian wines, knowledgeable and helpful staff

Кристина Ларионова: Very nice cozy place with a huge selection of wine and a cellar for wine tastings. Affordable prices.

N Khan: It was service time and they asked for ticket..seems more money making place then the religious.

Balázs Makkai: Best saleswomen in Budapest, highly recommended place!

Zsanett Tòth: Wide selection of wines and fine food from all over Hungary in a beautiful shop. Highly recommended.

Bence Dominik Kerényi: Gem at Váci street. Fantastic authentic interior, great selection of Hungarian Palinka.

Ladislaus Sir: Overpriced wines & horrendous service

Mel V: Worst customer service ever, the saleswoman is just rude, if you ask questions about wine you just bore her… we were the only ones in the shop but she was hurry to get rid of us…We do not recomand at all !

Ferenc Hajdu: Broad scale of Hungarian wines from Tokaji through Eger to Villány, all in a small place. Worth to visit whether you are looking for a party wine, a rendez-vous sparkling one or for a present. They even have bottles chilled! And a discounted wine basket!!

F Te: Very nice shop, with excellent wines and special palinka. Ferenc helped us a lot with good advices!

Joris Moen: The sommelier Ferenc knows a lot about wine, and is very friendly!Looking forward to come back!

Richárd Németh: Very good special hungarian wines from Eger and even from Tokaj. You can find some from abroad as well (eg. France, USA). Very good service and nice helpful staff are working here.

Julian Garcia Quevedo: Great store. I had no idea which wines to buy and the lady was super helpful!I bought 2 different blend wines.

Nimrod Kovacs: My favored wine shop!

Triptramper Scout: For me, Budapest has its very own charm with the venerable buildings and facades and the bridges over the Danube that write history. The countless pubs, wine bars, coffee houses and trendy locales. There is really a lot to discover between tradition and trend. The tram and metro, some of which are very old, are also part of the cityscape. Definitely recommended, especially in the run-up to Christmas.

Magyar Bor Akadémia: Friendly, kind, small shop. Service as well. A high-quality selection of Hungarian wines, including some curiosities. Thank You!

Kinga Málnási: A great wine shop in the heart of the city center with a large selection!

Zsu B: Great store, from youthful "party" drinks to the most serious wines, a very wide selection in terms of type, style and price. Kind and professional, attentive and youthful service. It is worth shopping here for any occasion...
