Laura Gomez: Very nice record store with wide variety of music. I’ve found good gems of House and Disco! The staff was helpful I am giving 3 stars because there’s not a turntable where you can listen to the vinyl… and this killed my vibe 😰.. yes I could check on my phone but is not the sam! nowadays where you can get everything at your fingertips in-store shopping should be a GOOD EXPERIENCE , if I wanted to check online music I would had stayed at my hotel.

catia nobrega: The most interesting record store in Budapest with a fine selection of music spawning to a lot of genres. Here I finally found a gem that I was looking for quite some time. 💎 Also had great recommendations on 70s Hungarian heavy/psych rock from the owner who was kind enough to guide me through some facts while listening to the records. Unfortunately I didn’t managed well my last hours in Budapest and didn’t had the time to go back the day after like I promised. But definitely will someday!

Antti Seppälä: The shop itself isn’t too big but when you step inside you can find a good selection of music of different genres. The prices are fair and the shopkeeper is very helpful. I have bought several records here and will do so also in the future. Highly recommended!

Antti Seppälä: One of my favorite record shops in Budapest. Has got a good selection of Hungarian and international music in CD and vinyl formats. Sells new and used records. I was especially glad to find lots of used CD singles on the shelf.
Barney Stathakis: Staff not helpful at all and when I asked about some Lps they were just snatched from my hands and put aside and I was then left alone while staff went to the storeroom without helping me at all I would have spent $300+ on Lps that day I left feeling very disappointed. I’ll never return to that store ever.

Elliot Atkins: If electronic music on vinyl is your thing, Aktrecords will serve your needs very nicely. The vinyl racks are impeccably organised by genre and the prices seemed reasonable to me. The shop also sells expensive designer clothes by the likes of Carhartt.

Tamas Barany: Quite disappointed of this place. Good selection of vinyls however no turntable to listen to them. They offer to use an iPad to check the tunes on YouTube but hey, not everything is on that site. At least build a catalogue like Phonica (London). Update: the online catalogue wasn’t mentioned in the store as an option to check the stock and listen into the tracks.

Sjoerd Van Den Berg: The owner assumes that you are gonna steal items from the store if you with more then 2. Bud only if you are tourist. Literally got asked to leave with my 3 other friends, and not a second later 3 the owner lets in 3 locals with a smile! Such a shame! Was planning to buy lots and lots of records!!

Paul Hammer: Great recordstore with a really lovely selection! digged some old school minimal and deep techno - found some of my favorite artists and labels in the crates :) bought „tender is the night - luigi tozzi“ ultimately talked to the storeowner as well, he kindly recommended to check out the sunburst party at A38 we went and saw him play at the lower floor, was a blast!! 10/10 would come again!

He treats customers like a sad sack and he thinks an audiophile can’t handle a technics ls1210. It’s horrible and condescending. I honestly prefer Deep Record Store and surely not AKTRecords
Response: Dear Sean, There is difference between audiophile and dj turntable. This is why I asked you before you start to listening what kind of turntable you used already. Sorry to say, it is not the same method to use an automatic Thorens and a dj Technics Sl 1210, this is why I showed you how can you use the lift and jump onto the tracks with this kind of turntable. If this is derogatory for you we deserve the 1 star rate.

Rudi Ts.: Very small place and with a very small amount of records, mostly jazz.There are a few prog rock/psychedelic rock records as well. I loved the place and the owner, who will play the record for you to listen and decide if you like it.
Milan Nanic: Due to business obligations, I cannot come within the working hours that are written, which are from 14:00 to 18:00. Today, in the heaviest rain, I walked halfway across town and ran away from work to see that the store was closed in 15:30h!!!! Unfortunately a BIG ZERO from me!
avee: One guy who is happy to help you find the precious record you’re looking for is Bàlint Ferenic of Newport Records. He happily played a Led Zep II orig UK pressing for me and — when I told him I like Jaco and Marcus Miller LPs — put on some Hungarian jazz artists influended by those two funk-jazz meisters. Made my afternoon. By the way, found a precious John Cage LP in his on-sale rack.
Tino Manzato: Very small and with only few vinlys of classical music. Nevertheless, I found some gems and the price was very good. Recommended!!!

Ruben Snoek: Sick underground record store. They have plenty of records in the wide spectrum of dance music. Their focus is mainly on D&B. The owners are very friendly. They answered every question I had with a smile. Would surely recommend this place to anyone visiting Budapest.
GecKovacs: For me the best record store for Elektro. Well organized. Possibility to prelistening every record per their e-system. Daniel gave me incredibly interesting recommendations. Razvan Girbea: A great selection of records with decent prices. Didn`t really enjoy the attitude of the seller and the oddest thing was that there was no music playing the store. Dead silent! You could hear sounds and people from the next door shop...oh, and if you`re hoping listening any records before you buy them, think again! There are no turntables whatsoever... Nevertheless, I would come back just because of the great records selection.

onstagerecords: Great place to vinyl hunters. If you fed up ebay, amazon,discigs etc. This is a live place.. Lots of hard to find lps in cool orice. I bouht very rare 5 lps in 10 euros. Many thanks for thease hungarian label rare items. If you visit budapest and if you are a vinyl lover this is your side.
Daniel Carkner: Went around to about 4 record stores in the neighborhood looking for folk and classical stuff and in my opinion this was the best one. Most complete selection of used LPs and very helpful owner.

But by cthulhu the prices are good we got 4 shirts and 3 patches for around 60 € which is less than half of what we would pay where we live. Tl/dr: good prices, good service, good selection

Hui Ting Zhang: Great store! Even though they didn’t have what I wanted to find (which is admittedly not very popular), the shop owner was very friendly and helpful, and pointed me towards other stores that he thought I could try. Definitely a recommendation.
