Balint Varga: Acceptable vinyls at mostly acceptable prices but truly horrible sevice. Rude and unfriendly staff - recommended only for those who already are accustomed to the Hungarian way of shopkeeping and dealing with customers.
Aythami: Good and cosy bookshop. Not so many titles in English but still them even have some vinyls!
Jan Berge: Don’t waste your time if you’re looking for books in English - there’s only a tiny selection of odd fiction paperbacks

Attila Karasz: Good deal, many rarities can be found. Some have high merchandise, and while they are reluctant to submit a book (which is understandable anyway), the sellers are good.
Devon Parker: The Eiffel towers high among the shops. It has a very diverse amount of books. You can always find something here. It’s even a good place to find a quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of the Western Subway.

Heather Sebastian: Dani`s shop has old-world charm and a wide variety of books, old and new. If you are a fan of second-hand bookstores, this is one you must visit while in Budapest. If you have already-read books to trade, even better. Back on the street, take in the castle with your new literary treasure in hand and find a quiet place to enjoy it.
Subas Ali: It is a good bookstore but is currently closed. Google shows incorrect information. Edit: I recently called them and learned that the bookstore is now open but only for a limited hours everyday. I believe between 12 and 2. Best to call before you visit!
Sam Vagner: Wonderfully eclectic collection of English language books, we dropped in and found ourselves a nice tome by Agatha Christie.
Louis Lorber: Only opened 1.5 hours after the stated opening time, it was dirty and poorly sorted

YI JUN CHEN: a bookshop that sell old things from books to maps and postcards...if you are a person of nostelgia...come here to have a visit...but actually, there are some similar shops on the same streetline...you have to spend time finding the stuff you want
Davide Calanca: Here I found a monumental work in several volumes on the history of architecture in Budapest and its region, at a very low price! The shop is very nice, well stocked; I bring a good memory of it and I hope one day to be able to return. I would say that it is the best of this street of antique dealers only, which in itself is unique for the European capitals.

Karolina Tóth: Very lovely and helpful staff. Awesome selection of books in English, even from some Hungarian authors. Plus, extra card games and puzzles and cute mugs. Had a great time, will be back!
Sall AD: There’s a good selection of English books if you’re looking for them, most places have just a few shelves.
D Schultz: Excellent bookshop to buy English-language books about Hungary, Hungarian history, and Hungarian cuisine. They don’t have many books about learning the Hungarian language though. Very nice and helpful staff. Worth stopping at if you like to read and are interested in the country’s culture.
Graeme Miller: Great English language bookstore in downtown Pest. Very helpful staff who will order books for you if they do not have in store. Also has a website where you can order (with 10% discount) and either collect books or have them delivered. Great selection in stock as well as foreign magazines and some games.
Alexander Chen: A small bookshop with a large selection of books, especially in the English language. They have a section on Hungarian literature (in English) which offers the opportunity to expose yourself to their literary tradition. They also have several shelves of books in other languages. I enjoyed the selection and prices.
LYNDA FRIDA: I love the book selection here. As someone looking for books written in English and also books with African authors, I like that they have quite the variety here. The staff are really friendly and helpful and I like that there is a possibility to place an order for a book you want if they do not have it at the store.
Joe Stockdale: Really knowledgeable and helpful staff. Went there to buy a book by Hungarian author. The gentleman in the store spoke perfect English and his recommendations were perfect to my taste.

Abeer Abdulrahim: Lovely cafe/working space with a warm atmosphere. I had to work for a few hours during my stay in Budapest and this place was an absolute gem. They have a wide selection of used books, could have spent hours browsing them. Highly recommend.
Virág Natália Szűcs: This is a safe haven in this busy part of the city. Everytime I visit I feel like I’m in a movie or some sort of modern fairy tale. Great atmosphere, a truly magical little garden that’s open when the weather allows, and a huge variety of amazing books to buy and start reading right away with your coffee. They also host many kinds of cultural events.
Kang Zi Jing: Cafes and books shouldn’t mix. Because I would then spend all my time and money there. Delicious coffee in a really cozy book store. Barista/shopkeeper was nice. They have a refreshing courtyard too. Some titles in English and common European languages. Mostly in Hungarian. They also sell some souvenirs/items like beautiful notebooks.
Ettore Botti: Massolit was a beautiful surprise. They’re a bookstore/coffee and tea place. You’ll find a good selection of new and used books in English - they’ve also got books about Hungary/Judaism in English. Sit down, have some coffee and browse their shelves. Really cool place and good coffee.

Farisha Jabbar: A cute, warm, cozy little bookstore and cafe. It was nice to sip on some hot cocoa in here on a cold day. There are a variety of books to read from. The wooden book shelves, tables, and chairs make it feel like you are in an old school bookstore. Mostly a bunch of students with laptops in there, but still quite quiet. The staff is friendly. The hot cocoa was okay (a bit bitter and unsweetened, but they have sugar that you can use). All in all, it was nice to see this type of bookstore still exists in the world.
Christos Pavlopoulos: Lovely bookstore with plenty of nice vintage looking books as well as some newer ones. Souvenirs were pretty much a must buy! Lovely coffee too!
Nikos Tsakpinis: One of the best bookstore/coffee places I’ve been. Vintage style inside. Full of books, some of them new but mainly second-hand ones. Great coffee and service as well. A must-visit for bookstore lovers in case you find yourself in Budapest!
