Momoko - Japan Treats & Bubble Tea: what do users think?

Jenne Siaka: This shop is too cute! They had a nice little selection of Japanese snacks and drinks. I hadn’t plan to shop but I had to after seeing their selection. There’s a seating area as well if you’re getting bubble tea. I took mine to go as I didn’t have much time. And the drinks were ok.

Shipper104: Bubble tea is good but the straw is made of low quality plastic, it instantly broke. I had to go back and pay 100 forint for a new one. They got lots of good snacks too.

Anastasiia: Absolutely love this place! You can find here the cutest things, amazing for gifts! And the food sold is hard to find anywhere else.Love coming here ❤️

Adriana Zurolo: They have lots of cute snacks, i just wish there was a wider selection :)

SEEMA: A store which sells Japanese Miso, mayonnaise, soy sauce, dashi, noodles, sweets and many other Asian seasoning ... It was not expensive in my opinion and the location is very convenient to reach by tram.

Maja Joksovic: Great place to visit when in Budapest, they have a lot of food, drinks, toys and other merchandise that represent Japanese culture.

Bao Bui Phi: Really nice store with authentic japanese stuff. The bubble tea is good as well especially the price which is a bit lower compared to their competition. Would strongly recommend the store👌🏼

MrGruber0: Nice authentic place, with some eastern food and sweets (for example soy sauce, mochi, matcha flavoured kitkat and so on) . The boba tea is nice and tastefull, the matcha aroma seems to be the best flavour I ever had.

Matcha Tsuki: what do users think?

Hadar Stephanie Salinas: Wonderful place, really nicely decorated. The sellers are very nice and there is a very large selection of desserts and drinks with macha. We tasted a cake with walnut layers that was just superb and also the Sakura drink Babel Tea Matcha was extremely delicious.

Oliver Kidd: Long story short: Actual matcha drinks and bites! Refreshing to see somewhere that actually knows how to use matcha. We tried the matcha ice cream - seriously good. We also got an ice-matcha latte which we highly recommend! :) Would not bother trying to look for anywhere else if you actually want a matcha based item of food or drink. Having wandered around most of Budapest this is definitely the best! Also very well priced

Andrea Kölüs: If you like matcha, this is your place! Tasty coffee, beautiful delicious cakes and good price.Really close to a lot of place in Budapest!

Atakan M. AKIL: Everything here is with matcha. I liked their coffee and almond cake but the boba was not my cup of tea. The place is not good for sitting and relaxing for a long time. It was worth to visit though.

Anastasiia: Matcha is delicious as always. I really like that now you can buy funny stickers, cups and bags with interesting cat designs :)

Alice Dong: Not really authentic matcha taste compared to Japanese taste.the food is rather sweet

Graziella Oliva: Cakes were not fresh so not the best flavor, matcha latte was alright but I wouldn’t consider it great :/ Good point, the service was kind and smiley :)

Xen Xenophontes: Fantastic place for a relaxing Matcha experience. Lots of different cakes and drinks to refresh the senses. The staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our visit. Would recommend if you are close by and fancy something unique.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Rachel Yasss: They have all sorts of matcha drinks, also coffee, tea, lemonades and snacks.Very delicious and for a good price.

Japan Okonomiyaki Tatsu: what do users think?

Kai Söderström: Very cute little establishment. We had two different kinds of omelettes, info on the ingredients was a bit shady (the okonomiyaki in this place seem to contain pork by default). Interesting to follow the cooking while sitting on the counter. Didn’t like the wooden utensils though. Taste was good but not the best I’ve had.

Atakan M. AKIL: Here is a cute little restaurant in the city center. We had both classic and all-in-one okonomiyaki. For me, the all-in-one okonomiyaki was much better than the classic one. It is also enjoyable to watch it while your food is being prepared. The staff was smiley and friendly. Overall, I really liked this experience.

Sama 沈梅 Sh: It was our first time having Okonomiyaki, we didn’t know what to order and the chef( I should have asked his name) explained us patiently every detail. I ordered the one with green onion, and it was very delicious !😋 the sake was good as well. Definitely recommended 👍

Jarosław Dzięcioł: I highly recommend you to step in to this place while in Budapest. In spectacular way Victor will prepare delicious okonomiyaki right in front of you. Mine was served in Hiroshima style. Amazing!

jiaxin li: The food here is amazing and the process of making the food can be seen. The owner is very nice, he gave us free wine, we will definitely come again next time.

JIří Semerád: The man inside was very kind. There is a open kitchen therefore you can see how your very tasty food is prepared with all details. I can really recommend it.

Kristof Novak: Wow! Great food, also great experience! Loved it. Will defenately come back!

Matyáš: Great, never had Okonomiyaki before in my life. Super worth to try! Definitely coming again when I’m in Budapest.

Business type: Korean grocery store

K-mart: what do users think?

Sall AD: Variety of Asian ingredients to choose from, homemade kimchi(didn’t try it) and so many sauces and oils and rice to choose from, as well as many different types of noodles. You can pay card here. 💳

Sakaki Kota: One of the employee told me that I am a bad “male” because my female friend was holding the heavier stuff. She also told us that male should always carry heavier stuff because you have to respect woman. Well, I’m very confused because it’s my first time facing such sexism and also very sad because K mart was one of the best Asian food market in Budapest. For owner, I just want to tell you that employing sexist may ruin your store’s reputation. P.S. And yes, the employee was “magyar középkorú hölgy” as wrote in the comment before me.

Graeme Miller: Smaller, downtown outlet from the Korean store in the Roszadomb centre. Good for a quick fix, however, for a better selection I would recommend the trip up to the Roszadomb centre.

Alex Lakatos: Located in the heart of the city, just a few minutes walk from Jászi Mari sqr/tram stop. Mid-range prices, great selection, very friendly and helpful staff. They have home made kimchi, wich is just perfect. Tip : if you buy the homemade kimchi, put it in the fridge ASAP because due to the rapid fermentation the closed container tends to boost, risk of explosion :)

Su Borahan: Lovely place where you can find most of the ingredients you need for Korean dishes.

Sama 沈梅 Sh: Great variety of products! Especially in Korean and Japanese snack section.

kyung hwan choi: Very nice staff and reasonable price. Good location

Kitsune Japán Kávézó: what do users think?

Sumant Salphale: Really great japanese vibe. Certainly passes the vibe check! The ramen was great and tasted quite authentic!! It has cats to pet with and even genshin impact themed dishes and drinks!! Amazing experience!

Alex Macáková: Amazing place. Very kind personal, delicious food and drinks. I was surprised to find out that they even have little kittens! The atmosphere was relaxing and also exciting.

Gyula Zsidei: Kind service, excellent quality meals 👍And cute cats 😺

Daniel Hagen: We couldnt sit where we wanted, even we were the only customers there at the time. The katsu wasnt real (it was so tiny). The food wasnt salt enough and we didnt have salt at the table. I think the place is overpriced a bit. And also the price on their site is different from the price on the menu.

Judit Tövissy: Great place, great food if you like the Japanese kind, anime decor. The only downside is that they are cash-only.

Lana Kohut: Amazing place! Perfectly geeky! Anime inspired and the food is delicious!

Bambuszliget Japán Étterem & Sushi Bár: what do users think?

Cristian Vargas: The food was really good and delicious, 10/10. It was expensive though. And we had some problems… They didn’t ask us for the tip, it was included in the ticket!!! 😡 If I come back to Budapest, I will not come back to this Japanese Restaurant. Also the waiter’s English wasn’t really good. He didn’t vocalize and we couldn’t understand him lol. The only good thing was the food 😋 and the decoration!! 😍

Adoni Venekes: Amazing quality of food and service, fantastic decoration, atmosphere and overall experience. Rare to find menu with such a creative and the art of sushi plates. I could tel the passion and care for the detail on each plate we had. Many thanks

Ozlem Demirel: They have a great variety of sushi rolls in their menu. The way they combine the traditional way of making sushis with modern and popular touches is worth trying. I also tried Miso soup which is rare to find a real good place that make it. Staff are also so nice. Though I heard the service was a bit slow before I head to the place, my experience was much better and they were pretty quick without any mistake in the orders. Definitely recommended!

Jesus arias: Out traveling in Budapest…. With 2 little girls. It’s been a pain trying to beg them to eat!. We found this place without reading any review! And wow. Sushi was good and my kids loved the ramen. Service is excellent! The price is not bad ( we compare it to US prices). We might stop by again if the time permits.Recommended dishes Sake Longer, Sushi …More

Mariela Chacaltana Bonifaz: Great food, super friendly staff and nice ambiance. We were looking for a sushi place for a few days and we bumped into this place by chance. Service was great: we got to order via a tablet with pictures and details about the food. Servers were kind and friendly, specially the female server! She was such an adorable lady, she would always come with a smile and attentively listen to our questions, shout out to her for making our experience in the restaurant much better! Then, food was much more than we expected, great size, taste and very fresh! Prices were very adequate for the quality and quantity of the food. Definetely recommend the place and if we ever come back to Budapest, we will pay another visit :)

Dóra Valach: Small, cozy authentic place with good food and drinks (their green tea is really nice). I needed to arrange my booking one hour before our time was supposed to be, and they let me change it, very kind. Sushi was tasty, nicely presented. My only complaint is that we needed to wait 50 minutes for our order. They include 12%service charge in the bill, what I think it is a bit too much. Anyway most of the places are charging the same in Budapest-city centre. Try the black sesame mochi, it was super tasty! :) Medium expensive place.

Gál Bence: Had a beautiful autumn afternoon date here. The location with the view is amazing! Staff was really nice and professional. All the sushis felt really well made. Even the ones that we didnt like as much we didnt mind since they were really interesting and different from what we had before. Definetly coming back for future sushi-dates here!

Эльвира Попенко: Sushi is very tasty and fresh - I recommend! If you are from Ukraine, then the size of the rolls is just right. The interior is so-so, but the location is wonderful!

TINA N: I was very happy with the service and wait time. As soon as I sat down, i was served immediately. i ordered the Green dragon roll inside out sushi as well as the grilled tiger prawn with (californian paprika and sauce) on sticks, 10/10.

Sushi Sei: what do users think?

Gábor Gyenes: The place looks great, the atmosphere is relaxing. We ordered several things and almost everything was perfect. The tea is phenomenal, the soups are great appetizers. The kimchi is probably the best I have ever had. The desserts were perfect. The only meal that I had an issue with was the sushi. Every piece was torn, the algae was chewy and it had a sweet aftertaste. Service was also great.

Joseph Sun: Came to Sushi Sei almost 10 times in the past 1 year and a half, this restaurant is one of my personal favorites in Budapest. The food was excellent and the waiter serving us was really polite and friendly. Elegant dining atmosphere, a great place for dining or lunch. Slightly difficult to find parking nearby, but if you come during the weekend it is would be easy to find parking in front of the restaurant, across the street. Soba, katsu don, dessert, and steam egg are the best, in my opinion, I tried almost all menus and they are all outstanding. Very nice 10/10

Pangit Ako Pogi át night: Amazing place! Absolutely delicious and a really nice atmosphere inside. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy, but they were happy to seat us despite not having a reservation. Service was fast and friendly. Would 100% visit again

Diva Song: What a fantastic Japanese restaurant here! Very delicate tableware, delicious food, nice service and fair price. Definitely will come back again.

Moonlight moments: Not a fan of negative reviews, but I trusted what I read and I was really disappointed. I would rather get sushis from a supermarket. Tasteless soup, over cooked really edamame . Sushis were Carelessly cut and about to fall apart. Low quality wasabi . Sth plastic I’m my drink. And Ofcourse the apology dessert was sth that we could say it’s was owkay. Still…

Michelle w.: The bento place is great! I ordered the Unagi set and it came with rice, miso, sashimi, grilled eel, tempura, Maki and salad for 17K. It was very tasty and I recommend it :) My friend ordered the soba tempura 🍤 There are not so many cocktail options though, but overall experience is great :)

TOKIO: what do users think?

Okan Bostan: Today we have had our late lunch at Tokio Restaurant in Budapest. A fancy Japanese restaurant with great selection of sushi 🍣. The food was outstanding and very delicious. For the first time I had the Japanese beer Asahi. Very tasty. Actually everything was superb except that I wished that the young man would have asked me for some more drinks, unfortunately he chose to chat with his workmates. Nothing to dramatize but just sad. A big thanks goes to the kitchen staff.

kfir Benais: All the dishes was beyond great. All was tasty and super fresh. The cocktails are good. A little bit too expensive, but worth it. The music should be lowered.

Elad Ariel Yefet: The best dining experience I had in Hungary The staff were so nice and had wonderful recommendations. We tried 10 different items from the menu and they were all perfect! I loved the cocktail menu especially the highball menu (look for the Tokio highball containing whisky soy sauce and maple syrup)

Snir M.: Beautiful restaurant, well decorated with an amazing atmosphere. Food arrived surprisingly quickly and was just delicious and so beautifully presented! The waiters were very nice and pleasant. It is highly recommended that you make a reservation in advance, as this place is fully booked all the time. Would recommend if you are already in budapest!

Betty Szabo: Exceptional food. During our visit the dishes were outstandingly good from the starters through the main-till the dessert. We’ve tried the oriental cocktail which is highly recommended as well as the chicken gyoza. Service was quick the staff was friendly and the place had a good atmosphere. 5stars!!! You won’t be disappointed :)

Vinh Vinh: I tried the tenderloin ramen here. I have to say it leaves much to be desired. The soup is far from on point despite the decent noodles and meat. The overall vibe is really nice, although it hurts your eyes a little being in a dark place for too long. Overall not bad, but certainly not the best in Budapest.

taha: The place is really beautiful. We were seated at a table of 5 and the service started off well. The food arrived very quickly and it was delicious. However as the meal progressed the service became horrible. I was told that the last order would be at 11pm and I tried to get a waiter for about 5 minutes, waving at multiple of them who seemed to be ignoring me, then they all left the room so I went to the front of the restaurant and asked for a waiter and waited a further 10 minutes and when I asked the lady at the front she told me that all the waiters taking a break, in last 10 minutes remaining to order…very strange time for all the waiters to take a break. And when our waiter came back he offered no apologies at all and the service was very rushed, don’t rush me after spending the last 15 minutes being unavailable. I felt disrespected and regretful for even spending my money here with such rude waiters. I understand that it was the end of the night but when you are paying over a hundred thousand for a few people to eat you’d expect decent service until the closing time, very disappointing and my friends and I definitely won’t be back.

Aksinia Pankratova: Cool place with a big price. Delicious. Soya sauce is very spicy be default. That’s not nice because restaurant kinda decides for me that I will eat spicy. What if I don’t want? Anyway, food is great. But price…… not sure if it worth it.

Nadia Felita Sari: Japanese food is great. Love all the sushi rolls I ordered (seabass and unagi paradise). Salmon teriyaki is nice, chirasi bowl is so smallll, didnt expect this small. Sadly, service is a too slow, we waited too long.

gabor zakarias: The restaurant has a special mood. We love it so much. All staff are very friendly and helpful. We tried many sushi all of them were perfect. Highly recommonded ;) cheers ;)

Michael Nitz: We went there to eat some nice Sushi 🍣… the service was great and the restaurant has a very nice ambiance. But let’s come to the food 😅 the Sushi 🍱, gyoza (Dumplings) and the salat was really good 😊 we’ll come back.

Tip L: Authentic and delicious Japanese food in an underground restaurant. The portion can be a bit small but the food certainly was very fresh and tasty. We arrived early in the evening so it was very quiet with a relaxing atmosphere. Efficient service and helpful staff. Definitely recommend!

Zoe Su: Sushi is fine. It was a pity that the eel sold out, which is my target. service is pretty warm. I will come to try eel next time.

Federico Zivolo: Best sushi in town! I know I said this of a few sushi places already, but unfortunately they all closed so this one is the one left in Budapest. Can’t recommend enough.

Taste The World - Négy Égtáj Ízei (Ázsia Bt.): what do users think?

Sall AD: There’s a huge selection of spices and different grains, and some pretty ceramic plates. Came here cause I couldn’t find what I wanted in aldi, but over all it was nice!

cdtz82: An interesting shop with variety of spices and food items. The prices are quite high compared to the regular Asian markets in Budapest.

Gabor Aczel: Amazing selection of spices and various other ingredients for Asian, Middle Eastern, African and other kitchen. You should be able to find almost all ingredients you may need. The only downside is that the store is a bit on the expensive side and parking is difficult in the area.

Vi Diệu: Huge selection of tea and spices. A heaven for foodies!

Gergő Cser-Kovács: Extremely huge selection of different spices and ingredients not only from Asia but every continent. The first place to go if you want to cook something special but not sure where to get everything. Especially effective combined with the great market hall right next door

John A: This is the non Asian owned place where you can purchase most of the stuff required to cook traditinal food. PRICE is $$$$ about 3~4 times of price you would pay at home. So 4 stars not 5 for that reason. Advantange is the location and selection.

Peter Pelles: Very rude customer service. Asked one of the staff members (apparently the manager/owner) to help me find something. She was very upset by this request and then went on and on to her colleagues about how annoyed she was that a customer asked her for help.

Kicsi Japán: what do users think?

Tam Minh Thai: If I have one word to described my feeling about this place. It will be “unique”. I really feel like I’m in Japan. The place is exactly small. One long bar to dine there. For Japanese culture is very popular but it might be unfortunate for European standard. The staffs are super nice and helpful. The foods prepared just fast on time. Honest review about the foods as a picky person, I would say 6 points. The sushi rolls are the best. The others seemed not so fresh such as sashimi, Gogza wraps, scallops. The price is not cheap but not expensive. But anyway Japanese foods are not supposed cheap in general because of exotic ingredients. There is their own grocery Japanese shop next to it. You can buy some cool stuffs. But it’s small and not enough ingredients As I wish for my cooking stalls. By the way, great experiences!

Zoe Su: I love this restaurant very much although it is small and crowded!!! Typical Japanese food and fresh seafood!!! Goose liver sushi was amazing you should not miss it.

Isabelle Marafko: It is just amazing : you enter here and you arrive directly in a typical Japanese tiny restaurant. All is perfect : decoration, music and friendly people. And the food !! OMG !!! The paradise... i have been 3 times in Japan and I promise you that it is authentical taste !!!!!

Balàzs Bontovics: The best sushi I had in town! Amazing service, tasty food, good atmosphere. The place is really small but you can order for takeaway as well.

James Corden: Authentic, cozy space for those who want an immersive dining experience. Reasonable prices for super yummy Japanese food!
