Peter Volcsei: Super cozy craft shop in the middle of the city. The owner is friendly and knows a lot about the products and crafting in general. The selection is wide and changing often, so totally worh to visit time to time.

Jan Królak: This place is very cozy and friendly, the owner was really helpful and speaks English. The assortment of the shop is vintage and retro so you’ll be in love with the stuff they sell. This is a great place to buy souvenirs because they are not cliché and not that expensive!!! Totally recommend for everyone haha

Mike Williams: Lovely cosy place in an historic building - owners where nice, helpful and very friendly. Really centrally located within walking distance of most places. In a quite location, charming interior, very clean & tidy. Would recommend.

Christian Matschke: What a wonderful shop! It specializes on exquisite hand-made folk art. Anna, the owner, actually is a very interesting artist who also produces the most charming drawings and paintings which seem to reveal ever more layers of meaning the longer you look at them.
Márta Csulák: The best place if you are looking for personalized folk art objects for yourself or your beloved. They also have a wonderful contemporary graphic designer artist on board. Each of her pictures reflects the best ever sense of humour. If you are looking for something very Hungarian and at the same time, something you feel deeply related to, you will definitely find it here. I always do.

MARIIA IZVEKOVA: Atmospheric, hotel with patio and gift shop on the ground floor. Choose it if you want to avoid standard rooms and a buffet for breakfast, and immerse yourself in the mood of the old European city. Our hotel room had a kitchen with a fridge, but we never used it - there is a whole street with cafes and restaurants nearby. Bonus for the cold season - individually controlled heating. There is free wifi. And also - very hospitable and attentive hosts! What may not be pleasant - sound insulation - during the day we heard arpeggios on the piano and trumpet. Not loud and for us it is a plus. And within walking distance of the main attractions of Budapest.

Vy Nguyen: Fantastic place to pick up local art, goods, and post cards. Store owner is very very kind and knowledgeable. She also knows a lot of cool and local places in Budapest. They accept Euros and Credit Cards. English speaking. Post cards are from 600 HUF to 800 HUF. Not the cheapest, but very high quality and supports local artists.

Günter Gebert: This is an awesome place. It is like a little wonderland, you find something new, unique and fantastic in every corner. You can lose yourself in the artworks. The people running the store are extremely friendly, helpful and prepared to explain you everything you want to know, from the history of the store to the story of particular prints. If you are interested in contemporary art and want to support the art scene in Budapest, this place is def worth a visit.

Also, our one-of-a-kind, handmade, made in Hungary, ethically manufactured designer items are curated based on many parameters, one of which is that we could offer gifts from 6 USD/ EUR. Some of our artist are professors at Art Universities, some of them are trying to make a living selling their wonderful art, and we are proud to represent and promote them. Furthermore, VAT in Hungary is 27% which directly goes to the Government and our artist are not supported from that tax - sorry if you perceived this as overpricing. Best regards!

Tomi Bairz: Great shop with design objects from Hungary/Budapest. They sell Hungarian cook books in English as well.
Dániel Császár: Extremely rude service. The shopkeeper treated us as common thieves and vagabonds when we were just looking for a nice decor/gifts to buy, then threw the the nastiest swear words at us as we were leaving place. Totally unacceptable, do yourself a favour and avoid this place!

priscilla On Holidays: Gorgeous shop filled with Hungarian handicraft pearls. Everything is done by hand, ceramics, embroidery, Christmas decoration... a jewel. Very welcoming owner, she will be happy to explain everything to you, neat packaging, warm welcome.
R S: This historical shop was established in the 1960s, and you can buy folk crafts from all over Hungary. There was also plenty of embroidery. The staff can speak English. Unusually for Hungary, the packaging was carefully done. We are open on Saturdays and Sundays, but please note that we close at 15:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
