Groska Zsuzsa: I had my exam there. They were polite, well organised and helpful. The exam run on time, no probs. Good sound quality on the Listening part. I am recommending them to friends for sure.
Hanna Zadrożyńska: One of the worst experiences here in Budapest in my case. I was there 3 times to get any information when and how I can sign up for the course. Every time Ive got different information and was waiting for any classes for around 6 month until I decided to choose different school because every time I went there it was impossible. What is more, surprisingly unpleasant and rude people work there (besides the receptionists). It happened to me only in Hungary. Service behaviour is totally unacceptable.
Laura Schröder: My friends and I have visited this institute for about a year. Advice: Stay away from a teacher named Enikö Kraft! She is horrible! She has been teaching multiple level courses in this institute for some years. She has developed a superiority feeling that she is the best teacher in this school and she is the boss. She forgot or never knew the code of conduct as being a teacher. She treats students unfairly according to her own preferences. If unfortunately she doesn’t like you, she shouts at you in the class, demotivates you and bullies you. She is so disrespectful and Goethe is shamed on her. Stay away from her, If you pay your money and really want to learn german. There are other teachers who are so friendly and train all your abilities (writing, speaking, listening and reading). Stay away from her, especially if you are not Hungarian!!!
Marci Kiss: THE best place if you want to learn german. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. You will have all the help you want to learn (but you still have to learn though).

kornélia koltai: The service is very familiar, meaning that they are very kind, but also very attentive. The quality of the food and drinks is (almost) impeccable, the atmosphere in the cool garden and in the interior is great. Cultured audience, but not snobs. If you're in Ráday and don't want to feel what comes to mind when you hear the street name, come here, I can only recommend this little island!
Eszter Fullár: BEWARE! The fee for the first language exam cannot be claimed back if you take the exam with them, even though they give you the information on the phone that you pay and get it back afterwards. The lady at the reception connected me, she yelled on the phone that I didn't read it on the website. I called the reception back, and they thanked me for informing me that they had no exam fee refunds from last October. (??) I would just like to add that my son did not receive the "sehr gut" rating in the C1 language exam due to half a point. They give it elsewhere, they are much neater, I heard from others. This is downright malicious. I have my opinion about the Goethe Insitut.

William Heiss: I was recommend to this school by a friend. It was easy to register, good value compared to other schools, kind staff, etc. I took the beginners Hungarian course. My instructor was great! She really helped me get a handle on the basics, in a fun and interesting course. Don’t hesititate to call!!

Unfortunately, due to covid 19 we have been running on a skeleton crew for a while now and the day you had popped in, we only had a representative who only substituted one of our colleague who had not been feeling well. Most of the cases, we have got at least one person on duty who, obviously, speaks English as we think English is the lingua franca of the 21st century, hence we employ customer service representatives who speak English. The unfortunate occurrence had taken place at a very unfortunate time, hence we would like to deeply apologise for it. But, if you want useful, communication level language knowledge, just avoid this school! It is a waste of time, and waste of money. I don't think so the quality is better here in Budapest.

Zsófia Tóth: It is somewhat understandable how they can teach so cheaply. Our teacher was a tour guide and during the covid he experienced teaching more as a constraint. Personally, it was fine, but it hindered more effective progress in lessons because we learned a lot of very rarely used words, which must sound nice and few know them, so we could stand out from the students, but our basic vocabulary, as it became clear many times, was very incomplete at the group level. The teacher was very helpful and took on a lot of extra work for us. :)

Mónika Kurunczi: I enjoy learning German with Ferenc. I am re-learning the language almost from the basics. Ferenc is a very considerate and well prepared teacher. The classes are smooth and creative. The knowledge with the info about culture and everyday life seem like a really big bonus. I can only recommend!
1940Stone: Ferenc is a fantastic German tutor. Not only is he a native speaker but he is knowledgeable about the nuances of the German languages and the differences between spoken German in Austria and in Germany. His superb knowledge of English is just the icing on the cake. I wasn't a beginner but I've learned so much from Ferenc and so will you!
Ágnes Tamasi: I wholeheartedly recommend Ferenc, he is a very likeable and attentive teacher. He gives funny and at the same time well-structured, structured stories. If I say something wrong (pronounce, write, etc.), he corrects me immediately and gives an understandable explanation. Lady Z: You could learn Hungarian somewhere else in Budapest, but why? You've got amazing teachers here, lots of class options to chose from (plus private lessons), and the groups have all been full of great people. Hungarian is a very hard language but the process has been fun and really awarding so far! Can definitely recommend the super-intensive classes. Also did I mention the school is in an old palace and has a piano and espresso machine for the breaks? 'Nuff said.

Sina Choi: The group study was good. For me, it got really difficult to have ONLINE GROUP class(due to the pandemic), so I stopped. The school staff kindly saved the residual credit and I used it to have a private lesson with Judit. She is fantastic and amazing! Definitely one of the best teacher! I recommend her, if you are thinking about a private lesson

The 2 teachers we had in our class were both super friendly, passionate and excellent in all terms, even perfectly replacing the other when necessary, knowing exactly where the other had left us at and thus continuing the course flawlessly. They both speak german in addition to english. Before the start of the course, it was possible to influence the days of the week when the course was taking place, as such even a high level of flexibility was possible. Also, if known in advance, it is not at all a problem to start a course late or leave early (and pay proportionally). I fully recommend this school.

Alan Hill (Al): Cambridge Assessment has adjudicated that the school did not follow their own complaints procedure, by throwing me off the course as a result of making a complaint. They then took over 4 weeks to refund my course fees. Edit: They have stated they will look into this, over a year after the fact. It is an interesting statement, given that Cambridge English stated with regards to the complaints process: "we will ensure that we follow this up with the centre and recommend that their trainers are fully aware of their own procedure". One wonders if this happened. However, I am quite happy to engage with IH staff other than ones I have previously dealt with if they wish to approach me. I doubt they will do so.

Marwa Heikal: I has several French classes at Berlitz (Budapest). The experience was really good in terms of welcoming, cheerful and helpful ladies in the reception, professionality in arranging the timings of my classes. The instructors were amazing with excellent style of teaching. The institute is located in the wonderful city centre of Budapest (Vaci Utca). I would recommend the institute for anyone who wants to learn a language.
Attila László MÁTYÁS: Professional mentality, starting with the language level assessment, through education, and including general administration. No request is impossible. Maximum flexibility. There is an adequate answer to all professional questions. Excellent and extremely interested language teachers. It is not isolated, so the development of language competences is realized. The notes are up-to-date, there is no outdated content. Everyone is willing and enthusiastic. I strongly recommend the Berlitz Language School!!!
Dobai Aty: I found it to Berlitz for about half a year. There was always a basic English Knowledge But since I did not use I felt I would forget much. Series, movies in most cases I look in English and I do not have any problems but if you had to speak ... There was always a little stomach cramp. After performing a level at Berlitz, this was completely disappeared! Point was what I needed. It was very kind of everyone and the Suli's atmosphere is brilliant! Ildikó Rönkös: The 4-hour written test of today's language exam, which was organized by the institute at another location, was held at 37 degrees Celsius! It can be good to perform like this! 😡😡
ildiko schlegl: I expected much more from the Institute, it was a completely unnecessary waste of money. The teacher was not even aware of the amount of material he had to submit, adults and children are put in the same group, which completely hinders the learning of both children and adults.
