California Coffee Company: what do users think?
Omer Sarigul
Omer Sarigul: Offers a nice environment to study and work, yet l cannot say the same for the coffee, they should definitely reconsider their suppliers. The taste of the coffee is unfortunately bad. The chai tea latter is good tho.
Response: Thanks for your feedback. You have to taste other coffes e.g. other lattes, because we use more types of coffee beans, so americano is not contains same beans than lattes etc.
Cesar Desouza
Cesar Desouza: Calm place. The cafe is delicious with many options. Cakes and sandwiches too. You can stay as long as you want inside or outside. Liked it. Honest price.
Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a 5 star rating - it's much appreciated! 💖
Michał Woike
Michał Woike: Beautiful from the outside, inside is not so great, but the coffee itself was nice. Also, staff is really kind and helpful!

Ovidiu B
Ovidiu B: Lovely place in the heart of Budapest. Tasty coffee, but a bit roasted, lot’s of sandwiches and cakes, nice atmosphere on the terrace and inside, well decorated and helpful staff. Kind of like it. Service is a bit slow, but there’s no rush for a good coffee.
Chantha tAing
Chantha tAing: Wonderful place get coffee for take away but even better to sit and enjoy the coziness and warmth inside. Very affordable coffee and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty their croissant was, as well. The person taking my order spoke English very well and was friendly and nice. Throughout my hour or so sitting there, much more people came and it seemed to always have a short line, which is good because it shows how popular they are! But the barista and cashier works very quickly and efficiently. I prefer getting coffee here than at the fancier coffee places like Grand Central.
Evan Kuo (Taiwanese in Madrid)
Evan Kuo (Taiwanese in Madrid): The place is really cozy and you can see a lot products related with coffee. The stuff is friendly. We ordered one latte and cappuccino for about 4 euro. The price is really fair for the quality they provided. It is a great specialty coffee shop. I will visit it again when I am in Budapest.
Lori Juliot
Lori Juliot: Loved the atmosphere and presentation of how they served the coffee and food. The Mediterranean croissant was delicious! Loved the americano! Perfect coffee! Very friendly staff. Can sit inside or outside.
Melanie Bertoli
Melanie Bertoli: Great coffee spot in Budapest. Very cozy vibe with and upstairs. We got a cinnamon roll and a yogurt which were very tasty. They have a bunch of sandwich, pastry, and yogurt options. Wifi works really well.
Venu Javarappa
Venu Javarappa: Superb.coffee.in.a.spiritual.setting. Hip, trendy cafe in a superb location with a hip crowd and drinks like beetroot latte in addition to the usual suspects like espresso et al. Sublime service. Buzzy location with streams of foot traffic and they’re super busy in the mornings. Seating both downstairs and upstairs and spiritual sayings on the wall and books by Sri Chinmoy besides his photos. Line moves rapidly as they’re fast and efficient. They speak really good English. Best cafe I’ve been to in Budapest by far.
Patrick Boros
Patrick Boros: What a lovely place! The atmosphere is lively with seats available both top and bottom floors as well as outside. The coffee was amazing. They offer quality coffee brews with some special tea options, as well as chai and matcha lattes (which I can both vouch for) with most flavors available iced for the hot season! The wait time was quick for such quality coffee, and they gave a buzzer so you could wait seated. The coffee blends they use are sold in bags at the back of the store, with some other coffee products such as travel mugs to go with it. There is also a complimentary bakery situated inside the shop. Prices seemed expensive, but the bread looked enticing. If you appreciate quality baked goods it might be worth a try!
Ercan BALCI
Ercan BALCI: Good coffee, decoration, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. A warm place in both ways. Vegan banana bread and plant milk (oat & rice milk) is available. Loved as it is a vegan friendly place🌱
Noam Tel-vered
Noam Tel-vered: By far the best coffee in Budapest, with a great value for money! They offer a variety of coffee and tea options to choose from, alongside healthy and tasety desserts. AND they are extremely vegan friendly! Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian, most is vegan, and all is perfect! Dietary restrictions: Multiple vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free and raw options!
Michaela Majkova
Michaela Majkova: Famous coffee, the cafe has a beautiful and pleasant atmosphere, a small cafe with excellent coffee. A great barista who knows how to make coffee. The food was also delicious and fresh.

Budapest Baristas: what do users think?
Anett Balla
Anett Balla: Amazing spot for breakfast or only for a good coffee. The staff is very kind and professional, the place has a great, cozy atmosphere. We have tried the avocado-goat cheese-poached eggs bagels as well as the croque monsieur, both were excellent. The portions are quite big and there is free water with glasses both in the downstairs and upstairs area.
Anna
Anna: This place is classic and cute. They have good egg Benedict and other food, of course tea and coffee, latte and you name it. The egg Benedict with salmon is tasty and very full filling. Also they have WiFi and some outlets near the wall so you can work from there as well.
Lam Ma
Lam Ma: It is cute small place, but pricey. We ate croque monsieur, it is good, but not great, especially for the price. Also you are limited to one hour, when you sit, not when you get your meal. So we had just about enough time to eat.
Brian Starr
Brian Starr: Totally 5 stars. Breakfast food, coffee, and service. Great cappuccinos and quality espresso. Also drip/filter coffee options! Only negative is the place is relatively small so for groups of 3 or more they have only 2 tables. The other tables are all for groups of 2 or less. Very recommendable place.
Martin Lutaaya
Martin Lutaaya: The meal(breakfast) was perfect. I loved it very much. The customer service was excellent thanks to polite personnel at this place. Only challenge was the space availability as there were plenty of people.
mauricio pereira
mauricio pereira: This is one of the best places for breakfast/brunch. The food is delicious and the coffee is just perfect YOU WILL NOT REGRET COMING HERE :) The atmosphere of the place is very chill with a cute hipster vibe The ladies at the front are friendly, helpful and always smiling (amazing customer service comparing to local Standards) Just a quick bit of comment I needed my receipt long after I finished my meal and the girls without even asking why or just denying my request gave me a new one :)
Klára Szabó
Klára Szabó: Really good coffee (not for people who don’t like light roast or speciality coffee in general), I had a flat white, it was perfect! I also ordered lemonade with grilled sandwich, I loved them, I will come back for brunch for sure.
Nikol Kaufman
Nikol Kaufman: Portions are huge and prices are relatively good compare with what you get. A broad menu with brunch options such as croquettes, Benedicts or omelettes/fried eggs. Coffee is really bad…
Vladimir Dzalbo
Vladimir Dzalbo: The coffee is amazing. People who work here are and pleasant and make you feel welcome. The food is ok. The only negative thing about the place is how uncomfortable the furniture is. Tiny chairs and tables make it not very suitable place to linger around for a long :-/

Cafe Frei: what do users think?
Julia Lazar
Julia Lazar: Beautiful place, very cozy and colourful ambiance. The servers are super friendly. We ordered a white hot chocolate and Arabian coffee (gahwa), which were both very tasty. Probably one of the nicest Cafe Frei-s I have been in Budapest.
andy chagall
andy chagall: This place probably has more coffee selections than a Starbucks Reserve. Quirky, chill, friendly, and not very busy. Perfect place to hang out with a book or a date. Very reasonable prices too (700-1000 HUF). Recommended: flat white, Ethiopian ice caramel ginger latte. Not recommended: Casablanca cream mint latte (watery).
Dora Gyeviki
Dora Gyeviki: I came here for a coffee. I have never been here before so it was a bit difficult for me to choose among the coffees and types. The lady at the bar was super friendly and helpful, so I chose a frappe. It was very delicious and nice taste. The coconut and the lemon flavor were not too much it was perfectly enough. I am pretty sure I will be back to taste more coffee.
LD kim
LD kim: This cafe is amazing. I’m really picky with my black coffee so I drink it as a french press or aeropress to preserve the scent of the beans, but this barista is amazing. They have a cool looking espresso machine and great barista that make great americanos. I am usually not a fan of americanos due to the tarnished scent during the process of making americano, but it was so good. The scent from the coffee is still alive. Plus, i tried their Sajtos Sonkas Kosar which was also really good. The layers were finely divided and cheese was very creamy, the crunchiness of layers and creaminess had contradicting texture and the bakery had a very pleasant scent. I highly recommend this cafe! Such a good value
Martin Chromec
Martin Chromec: We discovered this place by accident and it’s probably the best coffee place in Budapest. Concept of this place is that they offer coffee variations from all of the world with authentic ingredients and preparation - for instance beduin coffee made on a hot sand. You can select from Italian, French, Latin-American, Arabic and more. Non-coffee drinkers can select hot chocolate variations or some loose leaf tea. The place has very cozy atmosphere. I strongly recommend Nicaraguan tobacco coffee which is really specific. You can also buy some whole bean coffee - flavored or single origin.
Magda Brzdąk
Magda Brzdąk: What a great idea for a cafe! Definitely stop by to try one of the so many varieties of coffee they serve from all over the world. The coffee is delicious and not expensive at all! It was great to try coffees from Bora Bora, Japan and Rio. If we went there on our first day of the Budapest trip we would be going back there every day but we only tried it on the last day of our trip.
Nathalie W.
Nathalie W.: Exceptionally good coffee, with a wide variety of different tastes. I can highly recommend the "dohány kávé" (tobacco coffee). You can also buy packs of grounded or roasted coffee.
דיאנה דאבוש
דיאנה דאבוש: Probably the best coffee I’ve had in Budapest. They have a variety of coffee beans, what works for me was the medium roast. Always in the mood for Lombardo cake that brought childhood memories. Thank you
Ksenia Ageeva
Ksenia Ageeva: Very big choice of coffee. Dubai spice cappuccino is highly recommended! This is a cozy place right near the walking area of the city

Emanuel Boderash
Emanuel Boderash: Loved this coffee shop in Budapest. It was recommended to me by my Hungarian friend and is tucked away in a small alley away from the tourist area. The staff is really nice and friendly and served us water after we finished our coffees and continued chatting for a while.
Fausto Torelli
Fausto Torelli: The best coffee and breakfast / brunch in Budapest! The attention is great, the coffee is delicious and the food is quality superior, I’ll definitely come back only to try again the avocado bagel. They made my day
Shotiko Japaridze
Shotiko Japaridze: Minimalist spot that takes coffee seriously They don’t play around, with a bold statement about not service coffee w/ milk or sugar. I like their conviction The vibe is very Brooklyn too, but what place isn’t these days. Yeah, they play old school hip hop at times but we love it right?
Simon
Simon: Best specialty coffee shop in town. I had the best coffee experience from Budapest here. I drank an espresso and a v60 and both of them were great with fruity notes. I also tasted a nitro flat white and was also great. I appreciate that this coffee shop does not compromise and does not have sugar in the shop, does not make americanos. You can see that they are passionate about delivering the best coffee you can drink.
Square Ho
Square Ho: Nitrogen cold brew without the velvety feeling and foam because it is the last cup of the batch. Oh, what a good reason! Well, should a cup of cappuccino be sold without any foam? Try your luck to get a good coffee here. The quality is not stable, that is what I think.
Shantal Del Rio
Shantal Del Rio: The place is really nice and the coffee is very good. Also the staff were very friendly.Totally recommended!!
Richard George
Richard George: Very good coffee! The staff could be smiling a bit more though..😅
Levente Juhasz
Levente Juhasz: Strong inverse relationship between the size of the place and the quality of its coffee 😉 Tiny space, superb specialty stuff! The espresso shot I had from their Ethiopian coffee was on par with the best in town.

Fari Barydi
Fari Barydi: A small but welcoming place. Im quite a novice to coffee but the staff were happy to explain everything to me even when they were busy. The coffee they suggested was delicious and this coupled with a lovely peaceful atmosphereFood: 4/5 | Service: 3/5 | Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Pietro Previdi
Pietro Previdi: The place is cozy (maybe little bit too small, but that’s ok) and it’s behind a Costa Coffee. Definitely way better than it, so find it and try it. There is the possibility to charge phones and laptops, so it is a perfect place also to do some work and fill some boring papers.
Ferenc Csonka
Ferenc Csonka: They offer more than 50+ different types of coffee from around the world. Great selection and informative booklets about coffee which are regularly changed.
Barbara Szentmarjay
Barbara Szentmarjay: Opening hours seem completely random. Google says it’s open until 6 or 7 pm but in reality the Becsi ut Frei café was closed before 5 pm and the Nyugati Frei at 5 PM.
Zuzanna P
Zuzanna P: It would be great if you could order standard matcha latte. The one on the picture is a mix of everything and is super strange. Service really nice and the place itself ok.
Gábor Vigh
Gábor Vigh: Coffee Frei always gives you a high quality experience with an affordable price. It is much better than the Costa around the corner and it is worth that extra 40 steps from the boulevard. My favourite, the Nicaraguan Tobacco Coffee is 800 forint which is around £2 or €2.20 and it comes in espresso or cappuccino style - see picture below.

Cecilia Bravo
Cecilia Bravo: Location is great! Right in the center. Food and desserts are also good. We went there many times because they have a great selection of products. I can recommend the latte macchiato with coconut flavor, goulash soup and fruit salad. Enjoy!
Response: Dear Cecilia! Thank you for your review. We wish you a nice day! Anna Café Management
Conor
Conor: Stopped off at Anna cafe on our last day in Budapest. It’s pricey for Budapest I think I paid €6 for my bbq chicken club sand which and about €10 for my girlfriends Beef stew with dumplings, but it’s the same as any main city centre the prices are a bit more. It’s a nice vibe there, the staff are very professional and dressed smart. It’s nice to just people watch and see everyone walking past.
Slobodan Josic
Slobodan Josic: This is one more great caffe. Staff are so kind and professional. Interior is very well designed. as you see at the map location is great. They have great cakes and lots of cocktails. Must to mention that the uniform of the bartenders (dress code) are very cute & elegant .
Bethany Gestring
Bethany Gestring: This was a cute little cafe. We ordered the BBQ chicken sandwich and the club sandwich as well as a cappuccino. They were all good! The cafe is conveniently located near the river, the Great Market Hall and other stores and restaurants. There is also a bathroom here to use.
David Merrigan
David Merrigan: Location is great bang in the centre of the city just of the fashion street. If you fancy a nice cup of coffee I would come hear but it’s extremely busy and loud but the food and hot drinks are really nice the hot chocolate is made from real chocolate
Yulia Lady
Yulia Lady: Great idea for the morning breakfast. Very nice location in the centre. The cakes options are vary, as well as breakfast plates. Cappuccino very nice, however my Americano was served cold tgye cake milfey was not crispy, overall RECOMMEND ❤️Food: 4/5 | Service: 4/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Dear Yulia! Thank you very much for your kind feedback. We are happy that you liked the coffee. We look forward to welcoming you back. We wish you a nice day! Anna Café Management
Alice Putri
Alice Putri: I had no expectations, but it turned out that I had a great time here! It was crowded because it was brunch time, and we had to sit outside. The waitresses, greeted us and were pleasant. We placed our order, and they communicated fluently in English! Drinks and food were also delivered quickly. We were grateful that the waitress was aware that we required additional cutlery without us, having to express it.
Sandra Barnes-Keywood
Sandra Barnes-Keywood: Great food, atmosphere and service! Most days we had Adam who was amazing. Cocktails are pretty good. We have had breakfasts and dinners and wow what great food and very reasonably priced. Will be back!!

Dominika Nosková
Dominika Nosková: Loved this coffee place. Excellent coffee, they have 3 kinds of vegan milk. Amazing cakes. Many of the vegan, even some gluten-free options. We had the pistachio cruffin and it was just wow. Such a stylish interior, beautiful wooden furniture. Would happily drink coffee here everyday. Very good vibes. And the have 3 types of self service water - sparkling, cold and room temperature.
Response: thank you very much ❤️
Helga Honest
Helga Honest: The most delicious coffee in town! Cozy and atmospheric place. Very friendly and helpful staff and you can come here with dogs! I am allergic to one of the types of nuts, and when I wanted to try a dessert with nuts, I was kindly provided with a folder containing the composition of desserts with photos. It was very cool, thanks to this opportunity I was able to try all the desserts and they are great. We have been enjoying coffee here for more than half a year! The photo is my favorite dessert. I highly recommend trying the cheesecake!
Shirley F
Shirley F: Seems to be a local coffee shop with residents working, tourists chatting, and dogs roaming. It also features my favorite interior design of brick wall, long wooden tables and benches. Love that industrial, rustic vibe. The coffee was good, frankly better than the one from across the street at La Table. It was interesting that lattes were served in a glass cup.
Response: Thank you very much! I think the glass latte thing is antipodean influenced, via maybe London. Our interior design is by Spora Architects, and the building itself - and the brickwork is from the 1810s!
Ouissal Benameur
Ouissal Benameur: We had breakfast here, coffee was very good. We saw some good reviews about the pecan pie, we decided to try it. It was very delicious but too sweet, the pecan part has a lot of sweet syrup which reminded me of Baklava. The matcha latte was tasty and the goat cheese pasty was also better than the ones we tried in other Cafés.
Charles Hua
Charles Hua: A delightful café near the heart of Budapest! Absolutely loved the chill atmosphere and the cool underground wine cellar feel. The latte with oat milk was pleasantly smooth, and the yogurt with fresh fruit and granola was tasty and a great complement for a Saturday breakfast. Prices are also very reasonable. An all-around great coffee shop, one I will definitely hope to return to on my next trip to Budapest!
Heidi Fenz
Heidi Fenz: Good coffee ( I drank a cappuccino) and good place to buy fresh beans. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and subdued. Not too touristy - being a guide in my own country I felt compelled to check out all the traditional classic cafes, and though they were stunning, Espresso Emporium is an authentic local relief.
Response: Thank you very much Heidi! We are definitely proud to be a local hub of nearby residents and office workers. We are celebrating ten years of being open this year, and we have seen dates turn into marriages, babies into kids, kids having dates. Seriously, it's mindblowing. Of course there are times when there are more tourists, sometimes less, and this is exactly how we like it: mixed, colorful, lively. We hope to keep it that way. Thanks for checking us out! :)
Robyn Amy Fincham
Robyn Amy Fincham: Gorgeous little spot for a coffee and light breakfast. Lovely music, perfect atmosphere and friendly staff!*More of a coffee spot than for breakfast, has a few breakfast options (Pesto toast and Granola) and some pastries.

Gytė Šuliokaitė
Gytė Šuliokaitė: The place is in a busy and a little bit smelly (during summer) street. Indoors has a lovely interior with a few tables. Meals are definitely overpriced for the quality you get. I would definitely recommend going to a better restaurant and pay 1-2 euros more per meal to get a much better experience.
Response: Hi Gytė, we are sorry that you were dissatisfied with the quality of the food. Thank you for sharing your opinion with us and we will do everything possible to improve the taste of the meals. We hope to provide you with much better experience if you decide to visit us again!

Response: Hi Selase! We are really happy to see that you’ve enjoyed your breakfast and very grateful that you have shared it with us. Hope to see you again soon!
Bonnie Talbot
Bonnie Talbot: Rude, unpleasant, unprofessional staff. We visited the Café for brunch this morning, a lovely clean Café but unfortunately the service was poor. The young lady who served us at the till clearly didn’t want to get off her mobile phone and continued to talk on her phone while serving us. After spending a few minutes looking at the menu and deciding what we wanted, we were then told they were no longer serving the breakfast menu and all they had was croissants. This business would be much more successful with staff that actually cared about their job and conducted themselves in a professional manner.
Response: Hello Bonnie, we are really sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience in our café. And thank you so much for sharing it with us. We will do everything possible to prevent such treatment in the future. We hope that if you decide to visit us again, we will provide better service as you expect it to be, so you can fully enjoy your morning!

Marlena Marla
Marlena Marla: I love this place for my vegan sandwich 😃, for best coffee in town and the most important the people. The owner is so nice, she loves what she does. She speaks very good English so there is no communication issues. Place is next to the park where I just take my coffee and I can enjoy walking. It is also dog friendly.
Karolína Sejkorová
Karolína Sejkorová: Such a nice coffee spot in Budapest- actually the best one I’ve visited during my weekend trip!! Coffee was so good and staff was so nice that I had to come back one more time again. Also bought a bag of lovely filter coffee beans. Highly recommended 👍🏻
Response: So glad to hear you enjoyed it! Hope to see you again soon.
Cesar Desouza
Cesar Desouza: Very small space. Very little choice of food. Across the street there are more tables. But, the coffee will arrive cold. Wrap sandwiches only. Some cakes. I opted for an American coffee and Banana Nut Cake. Comparing to other breakfasts that the city offers, Cube leaves a lot to be desired.
Response: Dear Cesar! I cannot imagine the the coffee would be cold, especially the americano that we serve with two shots of espresso and 95 degree water. If you have an issue with your order our staff are more than happy to remedy the situation. After the fact it's quite difficult to do so. Also, we are not a breakfast place but a coffee bar. Our kitchen is small and that considered our food selection is essentially maximized.
Tip L
Tip L: We spent a lovely afternoon here enjoying the delicious cakes and coffee. All desserts are homemade and you can buy their own cookbook to steal their recipes 😃. The space is bright and open. We had a good time!
Response: Dear Tip! So glad you enjoyed it. Please do come back soon!
Lili Ryu
Lili Ryu: Delicious coffee and pleasant atmosphere! Came here every day during my week stay in Budapest. Highly recommended 💖
Liam Avalon
Liam Avalon: Quite possibly the best coffee I’ve had in Budapest, and in ages. Great atmosphere as well!
Response: Dear LIam! I'm so happy you enjoyed your coffee. Thanks for the great review!
Lóska Marci
Lóska Marci: Nice spot to recharge. Off the beaten track. Great coffe, good sweet and salty pastry.Food: 4/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Dear Marci! Thanks for stopping by and for your kind words!
Melina
Melina: Friendly staff, nice outside area on the sidewalk next to the park. Coffee is good (3/5) (cow milk alternatives are provided) and the cake is great (5/5, especially the banana bread, very juicy)! It’s one of the best places for coffee in the area. Since there are a couple of places in Budapest that convince me a bit more with their coffee, I can’t do 5 stars, but you can won’t be disappointed by cube.
Gwyllym Tilbrook
Gwyllym Tilbrook: Great little cafe near our hotel. Did the best coffee we had in Budapest and that’s saying something. Lovely staff and if there’s still a slice of the pumpkin or banana bread lurking around - grab it! You won’t regret it!
Response: Dear Gwyllym! So happy you had such a positive experience at Cube. Hope to see you again on your next trip.

Zërgë Coffeeshop: what do users think?
keerthi m nair
keerthi m nair: Great place with a wonderful ambience and fantastic food. We ordered the breakfast plate and bagels. Food tatsed amazing, especially the sweet bread and poached eggs that comes with the breakfast plate. The orange juice was also very fresh and tasty. Staffs were friendly and attentive. Overall we had a great experience.
Dao Linh
Dao Linh: Very nice cafe with great coffee and breakfast. We had breakfast plate with smoked salmon and cheese and ham. The food was super good but we had to wait a bit long. Cappuccino was amazing too, they use the beans from Brazil. The staff are friendly
Елизавета Иванова
Елизавета Иванова: Great place with great coffee and friendly staff! The food is also really tasty, but we were waiting for it for almost 30 minutes. We took a bowl with chicken and a bagel, they were delicious! The prices are also fine and there is a space to sit outside
Seamus Hurley
Seamus Hurley: Really fun place for a morning coffee and bagel. The bagel sandwiches are really good and the coffee was delicious. Prices seemed about average for both. About 1450-1750 for a bagel. The employees were very nice.
Melanie Bertoli
Melanie Bertoli: Very chill place where you can grab a coffee and a bagel. Most of the bagels are around 1450 Ft. They have vegetarian friendly options. I got the mozzarella and it was very tasty. The coffee was also great.
Emily Cooper
Emily Cooper: Lovely little place for breakfast or a bagel. We were staying in a hotel nearby and visited this place 3 times, tasted the classic, the salmon, the vegan and the camembert bagels and they were all really nice. The service is a little slow but friendly staff and good prices. Nice kerbside seating too.
Sara Cojocariu
Sara Cojocariu: The personal is friendly and speak english. I love the espresso tonic and the bagels are delicious. It is close to the Fisherman’s Bastion. I will come here again next time I come to Budapest 😁
Mateja Fištrek
Mateja Fištrek: Best coffe in the city! We came on a trip and this place was our stop every day! Breakfast is also amazing
Lea Keser
Lea Keser: Best breakfast I’ve had so far. It is small but homey and staff is amazing(helpful and kind). Coffee is really good and breakfast is tasty and affordable. I would come back anytime!
Andria Elia Photography
Andria Elia Photography: Visited the place last year and this year also. Nice coffee and bagels. Unfortunately this year the service was a bit slower but I understand maybe we came on a rush hour. Will visit again for sure.

Mon Café: what do users think?
Anastasia Yevtushenko
Anastasia Yevtushenko: Very good coffee, the medium size was actually quite a big cup. The price wasn’t expensive. There are two floors here, nice and simple interior. The barista wasn’t friendly, it felt like he didn’t want to take our order.
Shotiko Japaridze
Shotiko Japaridze: Negative: just bad over-burnt coffee that gave me a headache. And I down 3 cups A day. The coffee roaster they use, Black Sheep, is very low quality, sorry but it’s true On the positive, the place has friendly workers, and a wide selection of good coffee equipment like grinders and v60s
Filip Kříž (FK)
Filip Kříž (FK): Coffee and cake were great. Nice place and during noontime there is really calm. 1 star down due to service. All employees were without emotions, no smile, and took a time they told us the order must be done by the bar and no at the table. Just no reaction to us when we came there.
P F
P F: Not bad coffee per se but service was probably the worst I have experienced in a long time. The barista barely acknowledged me when approaching to order, took my order with the attitude of “doing me a favour”. He was visibly annoyed with another customer but this shouldn’t be taken out on anyone else. It’s simply unprofessional and didn’t make me feel welcome. The counter was severely understaffed which may have contributed to it but that in itself isn’t good business practice in hospitality… i won’t be coming back for sure…
林祖安
林祖安: The quiet atmosphere of the shop is suitable for work or formal matters, and the coffee and cakes are delicious.
Eliana Renfrow
Eliana Renfrow: The atmosphere is very calm and the coffee is good. It is a good place to come with friends to talk. Just be aware that the service is fairly slow when you order something.
László Ángyán
László Ángyán: Very good cappuccino from white roasted coffee. Cozy place with nice crew. Bit hidden and that is its charm. 👌
Cristian Walls/Paredes
Cristian Walls/Paredes: Horrible service... to the owner: might as well have self-service instead of paying such terrible lazy workers to give the restaurant such a bad reputation.
Luna
Luna: Love the coffee thereVery good desertPleasant staff

Cat Cafe: what do users think?
Anastasiya Damaratskaya
Anastasiya Damaratskaya: Such a wonderful place full of cats. The Cafe has its own rules that you have to follow like do not touch cats while they are sleeping and so on. They offer more drinks than food, but small Hungarian snacks can be also bought there. I would recommend this place for some coffee/tea pause, where you can enjoy the atmosphere around cats, be nice to them and take a lot of pictures of them. Of course I would not wait that they will definitely come to you and lay down, more like 70% are sleeping and you just have to be lucky, some of them can also join your table as their own bed. So yeah, enjoy!
Holly Shanahan
Holly Shanahan: Really lovely place. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Cats are super friendly! Some are even brave enough to come sit on your lap! As an English tourist, the prices were very good. Would definitely go again.
Валя Нот
Валя Нот: Now this is a proper cat café, unlike many others I’ve visited before. Honestly the BEST place in the whole city. If you love cats (even if you don’t) and you’re in Budapest you HAVE to come here! There are lots of beautiful kitties, food is good and affordable plus the staff is super nice too. I went three times in three days so it’s definitely worth it, I can’t wait to come back here soon!
Sandor Almasi
Sandor Almasi: The place is great, there are lots of cute cats, they have a lot of space and lots of scratchers, cat trees, beds. The cats are well taken care of, healthy. The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing. The fact that there are cats is not disturbing at all, even for people who are not really interested in cats. We have went with such friends and they were not bothered.
elle lin
elle lin: Most staffs(cats) are lazy and sleeping, but all of them are sweet and can be petted. The price is reasonable, the waiters are smiley, also the environment is clean and not smelly at all. Highly recommend! BTW, cats can do high paw(five)
M B
M B: Nice cafe with tasty food, the prices were pretty high, which I think is completely understandable, considering the fact that they have to feed the cats. The cats are friendly and not dangerous, although I have objections to the black and white cat in the bathroom, it was a quite scary experience to spot it there.

The Goat Herder - István utca: what do users think?
Valentina Cindrić
Valentina Cindrić: Very nice breakfast, portions are big. Their squeezed juices are excellent as well as coffee. It is possible that you will have to wait a bit because it is quite a popular place, and there is not much space inside. But the atmosphere is pleasant. The food is ready relatively quickly.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Thank you so much :-)
David Leonhard Steinbauer
David Leonhard Steinbauer: Sorry, nothing left to take a photo of. The cake 🍰 was so delicious I had to eat it before I was able to switch on the smartphone camera. The espresso was excellent even so I do not believe in the cherry-sour hype. I love espresso deeply roasted. The owner/service really looks after the place and you feel it is handled with love. Thank you!
Anyi Gazdag
Anyi Gazdag: We went for a hot drink on the weekend and randomly found this place. The latte and cappuccino were amazing, the mocha and hot chocolate were a bit plain (in my opinion) but still ok. They use a Kenyan coffee bean The waitresses and baristas were friendly :) I will surely come back for breakfast 👌🏼
Response: Thank you so much :) Interesting about the mocha and hot chocolate. We use a 70% Belgian chocolate and the taste should be really good. Let me check with our baristas to make sure that they are using the correct quantities. Many thanks, Corinne
Gloria Li
Gloria Li: Went there everyday throughout our stay in Budapest!! Love their coffee and wraps! The acai was a bit too sweet but still pretty good
Response: Thank you so much!! We don’t add any extra sugar / honey to the açai - it’s just berries, açai, banana and oat milk. But thanks for your feedback :)
Anežka Krejčí
Anežka Krejčí: Great coffee, especially this affogato!! Cozy little café, nice staff, who speak English very well. Would recommend.
Response: Thank you so much :)
Saif Adnan
Saif Adnan: The coffee taste is amazing. I had an amazing americano with croissant with Nutella:) highly recommend
Response: Thank you so much ☺️

Ting Liu
Ting Liu: Reservation! Reservation! Reservation! It’s important so I’m going to say it three times. The very first time we didn’t know reservation is needed:/ But, the overall experience is 10/10. As the other review mentioned, you will get to see 5 different animals and they will bring them to you one by one within these 1-1.5 hrs. Definitely will come back😍😍
Isidora Markovic
Isidora Markovic: Be sure to reserve a table a couple of days before departure, due to high demand. Something unique and different in the heart of Budapest. Here you can have a drink and enjoy being surrounded by various kinds of animals. Definitely a cafe worth visiting.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Response: Dear Isidora! Thank you so much! You made our day! We hope that you can return soon :)
Natalia
Natalia: It was a wonderful experience. Animals were very cute and friendly, I could tell that they were not neglected. The drinks and cake were tasty, the prices were rather good. I went there two separate times - the first visit was much better. The staff was much nicer, they were helpful and checked on us a few times. The second time, the waiter gave us a receipt when we still had full cups on the table and told us that we should leave because the next guests are coming, even though the visits are scheduled for 1,5h and we still had half an hour left. Although, it was definitely worth it. I fell in love with these little creatures.
Katarina Maricic
Katarina Maricic: Great idea! Seems like the animals are well-taken care of and each has its piece of heaven in the cafe. You will get instructions on how to handle each animal with care. Great way to learn about some unique spices and maybe get your reptile phobia under control :’) + there are cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs as well! Prices are more than fair! Make a reservation!
Response: Thank you:) Hope to see you again :)
Ziga Kuhel
Ziga Kuhel: Make sure you have a reservation (it makes sense to have one, because of such high demand). We simply sent an email one day earlier and got the response really quick (in an hour). We had such a good experience in the cafe. We loved the concept although not sure how animals like the whole carrying around all day long and meeting a lot of people. The drinks are not the best, but just fine. The staff was friendly. Must see if you are in Budapest!
Response: Thank you :)
Una Mijatović
Una Mijatović: Animals were so cute. My fav one is Boris(G.pig), his curls are flawless!Prices are affordable, but if you plan to visit, reservation is must have! So pay attention to that, you can send it by mail.Atmosphere is nice and cozy. They are kids friendly, ofcourse :)Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Mila Cvitković
Mila Cvitković: Really cool experience. Reservation in advance was needed, we contacted them via e-mail. Animals are friendly and so cute. You get the rules and instructions from staff for every animal, they bring them to your table and you get 10 minutes for each animal. Cakes and drinks were also nice. 👌🏼
Response: Dear Mila! Thank you for your kind words and the time you took to write your review! We are very glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. We hope to see you again!
