Budapest Jazz Club: what do users think?

Kris Hur: good atmosphere. nice music. I will visit again with ticket next time.

Vitri Vit: Interesting place for you who like jazz music. They have bar for drinks and snacks/ burgers. Nice performances for sure!

Victoria Boglarka: Intolerable physical and verbal abuses from a man shooting video footage during the concert 10/02/2022, Budapest Jazz Club. Fortunately enough a foreign couple who saw the incident have offered help and support. Inacceptable to employ, even to let someone of this register enter the premises. (Photos were taken with consent.) #abuse

Bartosz Polańczyk: We wee roaming around the town around 11:15pm looking for some late night food and... We stumbled upon this place :) At first, it didn’t strike me as a cool one, but I heard Jam session music from Bistro zone and... We made a choice to stay that was probably the best decision for the night! Chilled out jazz music in the background, we ordered some drinks, vegetable fries and chefs speciality - meat soup. The soup was one of the best ones I’ve ever had! Meaty, with perfect texture, aromatic and smooth - something in between goulash and broth. It’s served in a pot, which adds to the ritual - pouring it in the bowl and choosing how much meat you want in each portion with the ladle. As for the fries - the sauces were amazing - especially moderately sour BBQ sauce (tasted like the ones based on bourbon, with fruity and sour aftertaste).

liron friedman: We came in for the second half of a show we enjoyed it very much. The bend was great, the hall is very nice.If you like jazz, go visit

György Vályi: The restaurant attached to the Jazz Club is OK. The burger I ordered was delicious. The staff is professional. Air condition. Decent toilet. Card payment is accepted.

Opus Jazz Club: what do users think?

Modar Ali: Highly recommend. The building itself is very unique and is refurbished after it was in a poor physical condition. It was transformed into a modern music center with two halls, the main hall and the jazz club. The jazz club is not a regular one because its programs and concerts are very diverse and they invite artists from abroad which adds a lot to its value. Drinks, snacks and foods are served here with good quality. Card payment is available. Purchasing online tickets ahead is recommended.

Csaba Szamos: Great place altough the tables are almost uncomfortably close to each other, a little more personal space would be appreciated. The acoustics of the room is excellent.

Bálint Veres-Husz: All in all a great place but there are a couple of thing they have to sort out. The food was great but the bread they serve with the hummus and cheese plate was a couple of days old and very dry. The drinks are decent but nothing special. Prices are reasonable. The concert vas amazing!

Lady Z: Wonderful venue, and lovely food and drink selection. Great international artists come through here. It would be nice if the seats were next to each other facing the stage rather than across like a restaurant, as it made it difficult to both chat and enjoy the show.

Jiaqi Z.: Pretty nice place for lunch meetings, reasonable prices; my paprika was beautiful

Serge Mihalovich: Great atmosphere and acoustic. Food is also very decent.

Stephen J Hall: Really talented trio with friendly servers.Local jazz lovers haunt, worth the reasonable prices.

Lili: This place is a real treasure, I like to come to Opus time to time because the atmosphere is just perfect! It is has a beautiful design, it’s not a ruin-bar but neither a posh restaurant. The performance of the groups is always high quality even if they have to improvise such as the last time when the crew of Milad Khawam was not fully present but the show was still amazing! The food is delicious as well!

Oli T.: Nice atmosphere, professional friendly staff...great acoustic.

Business type: Live music venue

ELLÁTÓház: what do users think?

Ivonig Corfmat: ELLÁTÓház is a great bar. The decoration is urban added with lot of plants and flowers hanging. Prices are not too expensive but be careful, to date, cash only is accepted (a bit silly considering how paypass is practical in a bar). At ELLÁTÓház concerts are regularly planned for an entrance fee under 10€. Lot of time it is gonna be some cover band (Beatles, radiohead , queen...) which makes up to a great crowd of enthusiastic customers. The age is generally above the average in this part of the city during the concert mainly due to the style of music played. Also during concert the crowd is mostly locals. When concert is over it goes back to a more classical bar with music and the young party crowd.

Togrul Ilhamoglu: Good for weekend parties.Voice systems are not that much good. But vibe is good.

Akos Rajtmar: It is a place which I can recommend, sometimes good concerts, cheap ticket prices (usually). Drinks are kinda expensive but not disturbingly. The venue has a nice atmosphere and it is situated in the middle of the party district of Budapest.

Yersy ibarra: Great place great musicians

Barbs Jen: A good place to hang out with friends, nice atmosphere and good concerts.

Sam Tobeh: I had one of my best nights there. They play good music.

wendy crispell: Cool space with cleanest toilets in district. Live music and exceptional freshly brewed beer.

Matyas Perneky: A great place for all folks with basically any taste in music. There are great events happening every night you can surely find your jam here. There is a nice mix of tourists and locals you can find plenty of interesting people at the club. Prices are reasonable even though the place is in the centre. This place will make you want to return time and time again.

Marcin Dziduch: Average place but great events. Went there for band 7sec in the future. Wouldnt go otherwise.

Bonifác Barabás: Really nice small bar equipped with guitars for jamming and a nice concert area downstairs

Károly Iván: It is a very cultured place with a good atmosphere and the drinks are also very well priced, I can only recommend it!

Garden Kobuci: what do users think?

Domotor Toth: We came here for a blues concert and it was amazing! The sound was one of the best I heard in Budapest, and the beer and fried were very good too 😄 Would definitely return

Gabor Homor: A good open-air place with a lot of options for live music. Usually the bands are from the folk and world music scene, but Hungarian favourite musicians are frequent guests as well. The place is in the inner courtyard of an old castle, with coloured light bulbs illuminating the place, I like the wooden design of the bars and the stage. Good options for food - their baked bread filled with meat and vegetables, and there is a good choice of beers, wines and spirits. Please note they have their own plastic glass, for 250 HUF extra, and a token will be given when returned.

Juc Pec: A lot of amazing wines, craft beers and cool concerts! The place is meant for dancing as the music is too loud to talk. No air movement inside the garden, so it is super hot in the summer.

Peter Szabo: Good atmosphere, benches to sit on, there are food options and plenty of drinks. Be warned that they use the terrible "repohár" system where they take your money in exchange for cups and that money you will never get back. If not for the repohár system they would beat solid 4+ star.

Tamas Turi: Open air concert venue with good Hungarian bands mostly playing alternative music. Basic street food and drinks. I would say that the music is more for the Hungarians but if you have a good company you will enjoy the experience

Gabor Fekete: Nice garden with live music program most evenings during the summer.

Roja Medianista: It is a wonderful place. Highly recommended for those who love to experience cultural activities such as Hungarian music and dance . The beverages and foods are amazing. My favorite beer is cherry beer (I have sweet tooth 😆). They have variety of drinks to choose! You can pay by card and cash.

Gyorgy Perlaki: The best outdoor concert venue in BP!

If Jazz Cafe: what do users think?

Kevin Jordan: Great evening of jazz! Wine And dinner were excellent as well. We started with the 5 mixed appetizers & I had the trout - it was as well presented as it was delicious. Jazz was fantastic, a must vist but be sure and reserve a table!

AvD: Great food, good drinks and amazing music. Must visit when in Budapest. Ensure that you book in advance though.

Dr. Francesco Prato: Great jazz concert. They improvised most of the songs in a very funny way. Service is attentive and food is great. Thanks

Kuba Uroda: First time in this bar, after hearing lot of positive reviews - for us was just ok. Maybe it was an exception, but due to concert and big nr of guess, for the first drink we waited more than 30 min. Guys were nice, but service was very slow yesterday. Tapas plate like this for almost 10 euro is maybe too much, but food was good. In general, visit was good and as adviced, we will try it again in calmer day😁 PS. If this band was as a Barcelona in football, that I understand everything, also slower service outside. Taking this after consideration, strong 4 and we will come again!

T. Demmendaal: Lovely place, with an amazing staff. Good recommendations and knowledge about the beers by a nice young lady! I even got the last beermat on the house, great!

Rita Deák: Lovely cozy athmosphere, bartenders are super polite and stylish, could use higher quality table wines selection, overall great experience!

Lucia Čmilanská: We visited the jazz concert, it was amazing. Very friendly stuff, cozy atmosphere and great dry cider!

Mirjam Winter: The most fascinating and exciting place in Budapest. You should not miss it, otherwise you die empty.

Kenneth Scholes Friis: Fantastic little jazz cafe with live music.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Liquid Rock: what do users think?

Konstanty Keda: Great atmosphere, music is very very good (Rock and Metal) and importantly not loud, so you can have conversations along good local and imported beer. You can also have hot wine and other non-beer drinks

Billy Jackson: Clean and many drink options. I’m more of a metal person, but enjoyed the music. So far it has been classic heavy metal, power metal, fantasy metal. The only disappointment has been the female bar tender. Not friendly or welcoming at all. I ordered two draft beers and you would have thought I asked for the most difficult drink in the world. I speak English and couldn’t help but think she was anti-English/British/Canadian/American. This was a major turn off. Finished my beer and left. As a metal journalist that writes for several metal websites I’ll be sure to mention my experience of this bar in my upcoming metal bars of Europe article. Going to head to BlastBeat Bar which I hear is friendly and livelier!!!

Miguel Morales: Nice rock and metal place. Not loud enough to have a conversation. First time I enter a place in which you can listen to metal and enjoy a conversation without shouting. Great! Prices are ok.

Jason Corr: Staff were friendly. In a good place in town. Only thing is they don’t do draft juice hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Typical dive bar but it’s brilliant

malcolm murphy: Great pub with great selection of drinks. All your favourite rock bands adventures into alcohol tipples.

Tamás: This is a good place to hang out if you like metal. There is a lot of variety (except the supply is questionable) of brews.

Nikoleta-Dimitra Savvidou: Great atmosphere, wide selection of beers. I wish the staff was a bit more polite

Trang Vo Phan Hoang: Nice bar, very good price and good location. Friendly staffs. Good music but a little bit quiet for me and my husband. Strongly recommended

Deadrop Furman: Fantastic atmosphere and decor, great prices and drinks, my only regret is that i dudnt find this sooner and i have to leave without seeing the place on a peak night

Barba Negra - Red Stage: what do users think?

Csaba Szamos: Sound and acoustics were surprisingly good. The queues in the bars were very slow - maybe they should not sell gin&tonics with custom number of ice pieces and lemon slices at sold out concerts - and serve drinks that are quick to pass out.

Dmitriy “StamPit” Nartov: Great place for many gigs. Lots of quality sound, lots of beer, toilets are fine… But wardrobes - you can easily skip half of the gig staying in wardrobe queue. Would rate 5/5 if I didn’t hit the wardrobe issue.

Vladan Stefanovic: Yesterday I was here for the first time. Place is in the middle of nowhere. It is huge, with really big stage. Sound equipment is great, as sound in concert was excelent. Really down side is LACK of ventilation. To be more precise there is NO ventilation system in place at all!

Dante Meeus (Dante): I was in Budapest for a business meeting and saw that one of my favorite bands was playing at thos place. Bought a ticket and took a cab to get there. Venue is ok, it has a festival tent feeling. Sound was not the best but quite ok.

Péter Horváth: This place is just a huge tent in the middle of nowhere with terrible ventilation, disgusting (and cold) toilets and below average sound. But the worst is the extremly long queue everywhere. No chance to put your coat or winter jacket down, we could order one beer in 50! min. Later tried a next round but gave up in 20 min. It was a waste of time and money. Avoid the place if you can!

Laura Alexandra: If you are up for something different and authentic this is the place. Family owned business with live music (officially from 10, but we were there at 9 and they were playing). Enjoy the sound of cimbalom with a shot of home made palinka.

Gluteus Maximus: Sleeping bartender was very nice. Bought two shots of plum palinka which tasted very good. The bartender was not angry at all, and we became very good friends. She did not curse at me at all. I left with a smile. All in all very good.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Matt M: If you want to experience an authentic piece of Hungarian culture, this is the place. Great live music in a laid back, intimate setting.

Natalia Koppel: Very authentic and interesting experience,we really enjoyed it.The music is worth the waiting, the musicians play fantastic Gypsy songs.

MasterOf Disaster: A place to feel local. Location is just 20 meters from the regular tourist traps but you will listen to handmade music and sink into an atmosphere that really merits this word. Enjoy like we did

SMinkhop: I was so sad to see how much things changed from my prior trip here 10 years ago. It went the way of camden town. But this place made up for it. Thank youFood: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Amigo Bar: what do users think?

Brooke Cameron: Lovely locals bar with super friendly staff who enjoyed speaking with us in English, especially the young lad who was very helpful and told us about events happening there between September and may. Played some 8 ball pool which was 850HUF for an hour which you cannot complain about, with cheap drinks. Will definitely return on my next trip to Budapest.

Nagy Gabor: I really like the fact that the staff was very friendly. They didn’t show any sign of being burned out or having enough of guests. They do seem to love what they do. Loved the music and the style! Be prepared for Elvis, Elvis and even more Elvis looking at you from the walls. Also good to note that it’s karaoke night on Thursdays. There are pool tables that are free to use if you get yourself a beer. Quality isn’t very good (the balls can do quite a curve sometimes) but it’s okay to have a good time with. Loved the atmosphere, the staff and had a good time. Definitely would recommend! :)

Jairo Machado: Nice decoration, great music and good prices. I highly recommend it.

Robert Ingram: Great bar for cheap beer and we found the staff friendly. There is also pool tables and games in the basement and this place stays open pretty late.

Axel Edelsvärd: This place has soul, great locals and is family owned by some of the nicest people in Budapest.

Laďa Ondris: A great place with a fantastic atmosphere. I absolutely recommend this place.

Özgün Emre Zor: Good place and amazing bands having show. Specially Elvis Presley Theme band is really great.(Sorry for not remembering the name).

Paul Krach: A cool rockabilly classic American style bar. The prices are ok.

Nathalie W.: Cool bar with tasty drinks for a good price.
