Evelin Dr. Pokol: I wanted to buy a carpet, so I traveled from Debrecen to the store after prior telephone consultation, but the salesman refused to open it up so that I could see the product and see its color and quality. Péter Schőn: In theory, we bought 2 sofas with a 5-year warranty, the backrest of one of which faded badly after a year and a half of normal use. (We covered the sitting area in case our son spilled something on it). The store did negotiate with the manufacturer, but I cannot represent us in any way. According to the manufacturer, it is roughly our fault that we only covered one part of the sofa, so it faded to a different extent. (So ​​if we don't cover it, it would be just as ugly everywhere.) He also refers to the manufacturer's General Terms and Conditions, in which it is included that only the mechanical parts and legs, etc. warranty applies. Unfortunately, this was not mentioned during the purchase process, so the 5-year warranty is just a good-sounding slogan. After several rounds of negotiations, the manufacturer refused to contribute to the solution of the problem in any constructive way. It should be mentioned that we can buy the fabric needed for reupholstering at the wholesale price suggested by the store, and we also have to pay for the upholstery work. This is a total of approx. it would mean a cost of HUF 100,000 for a couple-year-old sofa. All in all, it seems that both the manufacturer and the store would remedy the quality problem affecting the upholstery only to the extent that it does not have a negative effect on their own profits. All costs are borne by the customer.

Of course, if a fabric is factory defective - this was not the case - then the general quality guarantee for the product also applies. Sunlight is not good for any piece of furniture fabric, but some fading is unavoidable when exposed to direct sunlight. Different upholstery react differently to bright light. We offered to get you new textiles for upholstery at a cost price, we were sorry that this was not acceptable. We always strive to keep our customers happy, which is why we have had 5 correspondence with the manufacturer. If we can help you, we will order the upholstery you need for the sofa. kissevich matt: The store is nice and the products also seem quality, from what I was able to see. This place tries to be very posh and high class, their main way of accomplishing this is by having staff that follows you around and monitors every single movement you make. Very uncomfortable experience with very uncomfortable employees. The design process, delivery, and instillation of high end, expensive furture would be horrible with the stuck up crowd in this studio. I would really not recommend this store.

Bence Viktória: Huge disappointment, I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. The delivered mattress is nowhere near the hardness of the mattress recommended to us personally in the store. Considering that buying a mattress is a long-term investment, we trusted the seller's suggestion, who promised everything regarding the guarantee. After two days of use, we wake up with lower back pain and the mattress sinks in the middle, it is too soft and uncomfortable. We indicated this immediately in the store and on the contact details provided. According to them, we cannot live with a cancellation of the warranty, and in response to our complaint about the HUF 270,000 mattress, they did not offer any compensation or replacement option. For a store of this size, customer satisfaction should be important...but their customer management and business policy is unacceptable for the quality assurance of products in such a price category to be so poor. It is also worth noting that they receive many such evaluations - no reaction is received.

gyula vasvári: I bought a mattress from them the other day, I personally went to the site for it! They were very willing, I paid, I brought it. After a few days, the apartment that my partner and I planned for was ready. The bed frame was ready and we unpacked the vacuum-packed mattress in 3 layers of foil. That's when we saw that there were quite a few spots and even rust spots on it. I took photos of them and contacted the store, needless to say they were not that responsive! I had to write to a few places, sent photos, copies of invoices, etc. Then they asked me to wait. Today I received the notification that the complaint was rejected, justification: I took it personally, why didn't I look at it?? We are talking about a vacuum packed mattress. But whatever, I'm definitely not coming here again! And I will dissuade anyone I can from this store! It's all a big scam! I'm just hoping that someone didn't die on my mattress and they repackaged it rudely! 😆😆

Andi F.: We had a lot of fun with the Újpest store. We placed the order for 2 80x200 cm bed frames and a bed end, which were not made in the desired size. When we complained, we were told that if we wanted to get our money back, we had to deliver the product at our own expense to a location where we had never been and where we did not receive it. However, the sales lady herself admitted that she did not write down exactly what size we requested, and in the end she placed the order with the factory in Turkey on the basis of "I thought so". It caused us HUF 50,000 in extra costs and anxiety.

Enikő Zigóné Kocsis: Poor quality at a horror price, in return they only talk to you until you pay the purchase price. We ordered a custom-sized bed frame and headboard (it's a good thing that the mattress is not from there), which had two sizeable tears when it was delivered. I wrote to them right away (but we also indicated the error on the delivery form), it's been 4 months. Since then, I've only been making promises, at least every 3rd letter I get a phone call with some dubious promise that the replacement will arrive, of course, I don't know when...

We finally did this month and I bought little pillows for my 4 grandchildren which they love because they are so soft (goose down of course), squish down and then puff up. Grandma brings different presents! Plus I bought us new "sandwich" pillows and they are great too! The shop is still very original, definitely artesanal and the family who run it are delightful, very professional and authentic. We asked to have all sent at a later date so we would be home and they arrived puntually on that date and well packaged!! A delightful shopping experience for anyone. Jared Willis: I echo the reviews of others, this place is a gem, everything about the experience was special, not to mention the wonderful comforter and pillows I took home with me from Hungary. Tamas explained the options very clearly and transparently, along with the prices, which are very fair and reasonable considering the quality and workmanship. It’s comforting to pay for something and know that it’s going towards high-quality materials and labor, rather than for a marketing and distribution budget and/or overhead of a large corporation. I hope that we return somewhat to a time where people are more concerned about the origins and quality of not just their food but other items we consume and buy.

Heather Chamberlain: There was a time when it seemed that every city had at its core a large community of real experts, makers of all sorts of material things - furniture, food, fabrics, jewellery... They knew everything there was to know about their work and this gave them a particular kind of self respect and dignity. I felt fortunate in these encounters. They are rather rare now but today I once more felt that thrill face to face with THE REAL THING! Tamas Szanto and his family run this business many generations old , the tasks shared between them. They still occupy the same old basement with the most rickety staircase ever seen. Everything is still made by hand. Feathers, exquisite Hungarian goose down to be precise, still the finest in the world, take to the air in flurries with every step and settle again on every surface, in our hair, on our clothes. This is a real workshop, a place of knowledge and skill and the last word in comfort results All this and it's affordable! Paradise

Maria Mavridaki: It is such a wonderful experience being in this place. Every aspect is worth mentioning. Our duvet is great. The people working there are very polite, helpful and professional. They know very well what they are doing, but they also understand your needs. They speak English and communication was fast. The best part was seeing all those feathers and machines they use to make the duvets. My husband and me decided that wherever we are in the world in the future, we will buy our bed products from this shop :) however, if you are in Hungary, don't miss the opportunity to go there in person! In the photo you can see my hapiness after leaving the workshop with my duvet. Even though I must say that our visit also made me feel a bit melancholic about the rising of IKEA. All in all: an experience that makes you feel and think.

Mark Webster: Fantastic experience buying new pillows. Was greeted warmly by the owner who spoke perfect English. He showed me how they make their pillows including how the machines work. I was able to try all their pillows before choosing the one I wanted. I was told that within 2 weeks I could take it back and get more stuffing inside the pillow if it wasn't big enough. I took him up on the offer and now I have the perfect pillow. Mattia Iacomella: The place is interesting. I was asking for a specific size of comforter, since it was not available they managed to make it for me in hour. They are very profesional and open to every request. I would say that rarely I found such a good service. I'm not an expert of comforters but the quality seems to me really good. I'm satisfy and I defenitly recomand them.

Phil Ravenshear: Well.... what an amazing place. It was a bit of a weird place to find, a strange doorway nestled between a normal row of shops. A buzzer to get in, and a very old and well used wooden stairway down into a cellar. I know it sounds weird, but it had a smell of tradition and quality about it. You instantly understood the history of the place. The family who run this company are truly passionate about what they produce, and their family history... they spent ages with me, explaining the different downs, the benefits of each pillow construction and they even got me to lay my head on them to assess the perfect pillow for me. They then made my perfect Hungarian goose down pillow! right then and there, they even let me film the whole process. I ended up getting pillows for the whole family and even some for friends, as they were also very well priced. You cannot come to Budapest without visiting here, they have a wall of photos of all the film stars and famous people who visit and buy from them. They are so humble and so friendly. I left feeling I had found friends who I could contact whenever I need bedding, and I know they will understand EXACTLY what I want. They will even ship it free to my home in the UK. Thank you so much for such a great experience. Five stars all day long !!!!

Wooden bed frames do not have a cross support slat, it is an accessory of the bed, but in many cases the bed does not have a cross support because it originally had a metal bed frame and it is also recommended. The bed frame is not from IKEAS, only the screws are, because the bed frame did not come with screws by default, but with many Hungarian bed manufacturers, it is mandatory to fix the bed frame with screws in order for the warranty to be valid, so the screws were included on a separate request. We work with DPD, who are not used to going so early. Unfortunately, I cannot find your order, please send me the order number or the invoice number so that we can investigate the matter. Kovács Edith: We chose this shop on the recommendation of relatives. I ordered the mattress at the beginning of March, I called a few days later and we arranged the delivery. I waited for Friday, the courier arrived without my mattress. (He did not see the mattress in the warehouse). The 4-day holiday came, so the mattress did not arrive until Wednesday of the following week. After 1 day, I wanted to put it in its place, it turned out that it was 2 cm bigger, hanging down from the bed. I reported it immediately, and they forwarded my complaint to the manufacturer and promised a replacement. We have been waiting for the mattress for more than 2 weeks now. We are moving a defective mattress into the apartment, which is very difficult, because it is a 180x200 cm mattress. I have called the manufacturer several times, but there is always an excuse. What do we have to do with the manufacturer?? I didn't order from him, even though we told him that a different mattress would suit me, even more expensive... but we didn't get any help. That's all they change.

I. Fási: We were looking for a mattress for my daughter because of her spinal hernia problem. In the Matracom Sample Store, we received the maximum professional help necessary for this. There was plenty of choice, both in terms of quality and price range, and we were promised the tight deadline we set, however, there were problems with the manufacturer, they were unable to produce the selected mattress due to COVID. The store informed me about this and they were already looking for a solution. In the end, we received a better quality mattress in the same price category from another manufacturer by the desired deadline (if it hadn't arrived, we would have slept on the floor...). Another problem arose: the delivery would have been done by this other manufacturer, but the delivery vehicle broke down, so we would have received the mattress 1 day late, but Matracom Mintabolt found a solution for this as well, we didn't have to sleep on the floor. Of course, the mattress is also very comfortable! Overall, I can only recommend the store and the products!

Iván Ferdinánd: I don't have a good opinion about the company! I bought one of their super self-developed sponge mattresses and of course 2 immediately, I shouldn't have. After about 2 months of use, it pitted and it was painful to sleep on it. Since we bought it recently, I thought it would be replaced quickly, but it wasn't. I also got the weeks!! e-mail responses, and the manufacturer does not respond to them about the inspection??? I asked myself, but I am under contract with them and not with anyone else. Of course, it was rejected in the end. At that point I was satisfied and went to the conciliation center, where during the trial they graciously returned half of my money. Due to the strength of the prices, I incurred considerable damage, because I had to buy a new mattress elsewhere, plus about 1 year of administration and nervousness.

Then they made a sales offer for an expensive other mattress that I responded to, which was reserved for 15 days! I couldn't resist, I went back and bought it. I have never come across such a fair deal in my life! I still visit them again: before Christmas for their super memory pillows. And I sleep like gods on my new mattress.,. Not to mention that my sister and I were there for about 2 hours, taking turns asking questions and receiving exhaustive answers non-stop from our tirelessly patient seller. I rarely recommend a store, but definitely this one! Thank you for having something like this in Hungary

There's no way to exchange it, because you've already slept on it for a night, right? The nice thing about it is that I bought two identical pillows and only tried one, and didn't even open the other one. Of course, they didn't change it either, saying that it was also used... Unfortunately, this makes one thing clear to me: It was already used when it was sold! So take a look at what you're losing here! I congratulate the company, that's how there is profit...! Elsewhere, such products are sold at a separate, reduced price, marked separately as returnable and non-exchangeable!

Gergely Kondás: We booked a pillow online, when we went in to pick it up, the search for the pillow began, because according to the system, it would be the last one in stock. After a few minutes, it turned out that it had been sold to someone else. We were not very happy about that. They promised compensation if we buy something there, but they didn't give any discount for the pillow - which we finally chose. We then returned this pillow because it didn't fit. We paid by card, I thought they would transfer the money back to the card as well, and then one of the employees sarcastically informed us that they can only return it in kp, but they only have 10,000, and I won't have enough to top it up with anyway... but it was, that's how it worked out the withdrawal. It might be worth taking a look at this store, but we were not satisfied with the level of service, so I only recommend it for purchase with reservations.

Zoltán Deák: The online customer service responded extremely quickly to my question, they served me quickly and kindly in the store, I was surprised that they also knew how to communicate with customer service and I received extra help.
