Marie Arter: If you are searching for a high-quality travel souvenir, look no further. Stop by Elfenbein for handmade goose down comforters, pillows, duvet covers and outstanding service. They will ship your purchases to the USA, too. I purchased my comforter on Nov. 17 and it was at my door on Nov. 28 and that included the Thanksgiving holiday. If you can’t make it to Budapest, you can use their very complete website.
Maxine Orr: We had found this shop 15 years ago and I bought myself a pillow and have been planning to go back ever since. We finally did this month and I bought little pillows for my 4 grandchildren which they love because they are so soft (goose down of course), squish down and then puff up. Grandma brings different presents! Plus I bought us new "sandwich" pillows and they are great too! The shop is still very original, definitely artesanal and the family who run it are delightful, very professional and authentic. We asked to have all sent at a later date so we would be home and they arrived puntually on that date and well packaged!! A delightful shopping experience for anyone. I am hoping to go back, to visit the shop again and to visit Budapest, a truly lovely city.
Jared Willis: I echo the reviews of others, this place is a gem, everything about the experience was special, not to mention the wonderful comforter and pillows I took home with me from Hungary. Tamas explained the options very clearly and transparently, along with the prices, which are very fair and reasonable considering the quality and workmanship. It’s comforting to pay for something and know that it’s going towards high-quality materials and labor, rather than for a marketing and distribution budget and/or overhead of a large corporation. I hope that we return somewhat to a time where people are more concerned about the origins and quality of not just their food but other items we consume and buy.

Phil Ravenshear: Well.... what an amazing place. It was a bit of a weird place to find, a strange doorway nestled between a normal row of shops. A buzzer to get in, and a very old and well used wooden stairway down into a cellar. I know it sounds weird, but it had a smell of tradition and quality about it. You instantly understood the history of the place. The family who run this company are truly passionate about what they produce, and their family history... they spent ages with me, explaining the different downs, the benefits of each pillow construction and they even got me to lay my head on them to assess the perfect pillow for me. They then made my perfect Hungarian goose down pillow! right then and there, they even let me film the whole process. I ended up getting pillows for the whole family and even some for friends, as they were also very well priced. You cannot come to Budapest without visiting here, they have a wall of photos of all the film stars and famous people who visit and buy from them. They are so humble and so friendly. I left feeling I had found friends who I could contact whenever I need bedding, and I know they will understand EXACTLY what I want. They will even ship it free to my home in the UK. Thank you so much for such a great experience. Five stars all day long !!!!

Andi F.: We had a lot of fun with the Újpest store. We placed the order for 2 80x200 cm bed frames and a bed end, which were not made in the desired size. When we complained, we were told that if we wanted to get our money back, we had to deliver the product at our own expense to a location where we had never been and where we did not receive it. However, the sales lady herself admitted that she did not write down exactly what size we requested, and in the end she placed the order with the factory in Turkey on the basis of "I thought so". It caused us HUF 50,000 in extra costs and anxiety.

Bondor István: Obviously there is no constant promotion, the mattresses simply cost as much as the promotional price ... In fact, they are probably still profitable. But at least the selection is great, the quality is also perfectly fine. The business itself is very demanding, it should be left. Everything can be tried and the layout of the equipment allows it with due discretion.

Emese Kis: We bought 6 glasses, one of them badly chipped. At the cash they didn’t check the rim and my husband didn’t know better to ask. Web site contact chat is useless. I will have to make the trip to see if they even have the same glass to exchange the damaged one. Untrained, unfriendly staff; a pity, their merchandise would deserve better. I see that management does not answer posts here, shows how much this store cares.
Gergely Gyuricza: Bought a product in store on Aug 25, 2022. Opted for delivery as that seemed more convenient at the time. I was terribly wrong. Delivery from teh Budapest logistic center to the Budapest delivery adress never happend. No phone contact. Wrote e-mails no one replied. Went back in store. They said it was delivered, i got mad and left. They then called me delivery didnt happen and they will reinitiate a delivery. That didint happen as well. Delivery finally happened today. It takes 21 days and a lotof administration and personal meetings to get a delivery done. Customer service is incompetent. In store people are nice, still this is an underwhelming experience. Package came damaged. Would not recommend. In store shop is fine.

Caner Güner: It is unacceptable in the 21st century that a mattress is not delivered within a month in the same city around only 10km distance between shop and the home. But i dont think so it is bothering the JYSK company because they even did not say sorry but just told us "ohh the headquarters just cancelled the order without reason, you should wait 15 days more or do you want to cancel". You dont know anything about ensure complete customer satisfaction. I am sorry but you re third class company. Good job and have a nice day.
