Natascha: Shop is located a bit hidden away. Has everything you would need in the baking category. They mostly cater to restaurants and bakeries but you can buy as an individual too for very cheap prices. I got what I needed for just 290ft - cake board and box

Anastasiia Todieryshko: Top notch service. If you want to find what you have been looking for for making a cake for a long time, go here. Very polite and positive. Will definitely come back for shopping again. Thank you for the very good service and such nice prices😊

Nguyễn Minh Đức: Highly recommend coming here for baking equipment. Super friendly and helpful staff

Tamás Kolesza: Kind, helpful staff, everything is there!🤪 Take a lot of money!

Földes Péter: Kind, helpful service. Thanks!

Zsuzsanna: I ordered baking tins from them made to size, very precise, accurate, correct! Very nice, quality work! I wholeheartedly recommend them!

arán bakery budapest: what do users think?

Richard George: This is one place where you don’t want to miss on pastry and bread!! Almond croissant and chicken sandwhich were phenomenal! I had not the chance to try their coffee yet, as it’s specialty coffee, but i have wished the seating area inside was a bit more. But I honestly think the whole vibe is just get it early in the morning and enjoy the treats on the street! Most of the locals just get the bread and return home to enjoy. Maybe if it was summer season i would have stayed on the little benches outside. To be coming again for sure!
Response: Dear Richard, Thanks for your feedback and your rating, hopefully we will see you soon Aràn bakery team

Tyrone: The perfect neighborhood bakery! I visited in the morning as they had their first few fresh batches out and tried two of their savory croissants and tried a latte. Everything was amazing! There’s a small counter space for those that want to sit and eat however most of the locals grabbed their pastries and went on with their day!

Claudia Hafler: I have since left Budapest, but there is not one morning when I don’t think about Aran. Their croissants were delightful. The balance between crunch and airy honeycombs just perfect. We had tried three different types, all good, more than good. The space itself is very interesting as well, some industrial notes and old time bakery flair. Can’t wait to go back some day, meanwhile I flew back home with croissants and bread, they are awaiting for me to take them out of the freezer. They won’t be as good, but I have high hopes for such excellent products.
Response: Dear Claudia, we are really appreciate your feedback and thank you so much for the 5 ⭐️ rating! We hope you will visit us again, in the meantime you can send your friends to us - maybe they can deliver something good for you to home 😜🙏 Have a lovely day Aràn bakery team

John S.: I can say, with no hint of hyperbole, that this place makes one of the greatest Almond Croissants in the whole world. I’ve tried dozens, maybe hundreds in my lifetime. This was the best I’ve ever had. Rich, buttery, crunchy, chewy, sticky, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It was so good that it almost made me sad, because I don’t know when I’ll get a chance to try another one. The Cheesecake was also outrageously good. So fluffy and hit every flavor perfectly. And, to top it off, the coffee is excellent. I’m only giving this place 5 stars, because Google won’t let me put 6.
Response: Dear John! Thanks for your kind words 😊😊😊 This kind of feedback is one of the reason, why we’re loving our job! I will share immediately your feedback with my colleagues! They will be so proud! Thanks again Aràn bakery team

Khaled Al Khalaqi: The best bakery in whole Europe, I loved their place it’s so yummy. Don’t miss their cheese croissant is the best I’ve ever tried. The staff are friendly compared to other shops in Budapest

Ermis Makis: Croissant dough with savory fillings (caramelized onions with goat’s cheese & tomatoes with parmesan) - both great, cruffin with vanilla filling (very good, although there was an unidentifiable smell inside) and amazing cappuccinos. What’s not to like! Prices are on the cheaper side for what you get! 5 star effort!
Response: Dear Ermis, thanks for your feedback, we are happy to read it. During this week our Cruffin is filled with tonka beans flavored custard and a bit of horseradish, maybe that was the taste. Thanks again Aràn bakery team

Iraklis Patsialos: Great bakery in Budapest! The perfect location to grab a croissant, cruffin or other pastries and a cup of coffee for breakfast in order to kick-start your day! Polite and helpful staff. You have to try the almond croissant!
Response: Dear Iraklis! Thanks for your rating! It is always a pleasure to read feedback from our customers!!! Hopefully you will visit us again Aràn bakery team

Li-Yun Yin: The pastry is so good. I ordered cinnamon swirl and the outside layer is crispy and the inner is moist, so yummy! If I stay in Budapest longer, I will definitely come here and try other pastries. But the coffee is ok. Flat white is acidic.
Response: Dear guest, thank you for your feedback!

Pascal: A bit expensive but great qualityA small shop they dont have everything

Árpád Bánki: The Csepel ad is a big scam! Instead of the "chilli-vili" store, there is a battered warehouse with stray dogs somewhere at the end of Csepel Művek!
Response: Dear Árpád! Thank you for your review. Our shop on Pozsonyi út closed in January 2019, we had a shop for 10 years, you can find pictures of it on the internet. The warehouse is located in Csepel.

Papp Dávid: Nagxon good place nice area great set of helpful and experienced expert staff who were very nice the place has a nice clean book a little better sign the set quite large many things to find.

Albert Kondor: As a food manager, I was looking for an industrial slicer for our kitchen. I looked at the offers of several companies that distribute large kitchen equipment. I ended up at Gastromega. The people working at the company were nice. You could see that they were well versed in the world of kitchen utensils and machines. I liked that there are also used machines, and you can even rent tools from them. The price is in the affordable category. And the products belong to the quality category. I wholeheartedly recommend the place to anyone looking for large kitchen appliances.

Terri W: What a disappointment. I wonder if they gave us yesterday’s baked goods or if the croissants were just poor. We had spectacular ones in Vienna and good ones in Spar(7-Eleven with groceries). But this is a bakery with good reviews so one expects their limited, basic offerings to be minimally decent. Don’t bother stopping here, move on to the next bakery.

Mirella Horvath: We have arrived a couple of minutes before closing and yet the lady at the cashier was extremely kind and helpful. This is unfortunately not normal in Hungary. Thanks for the great experience!

Herbert Engel: Excellent bread at a (for Europeans) low and very reasonable price! Even better than the Bread from Butter Brothers and from Három Tarka Macska! We always buy our kenyéret there.

Miklós Lukács: Very good Bakery, nice and tasteful breads made with soul in it. My personal favorite is the Altamura bread, but the pure white one is also good.

Koroljov Ilja: High prices for not that good cakes. I asked for one and they added me not what I was asking for, so service is awful. Better to avoid this place

Jeroen Spruyt: Nice people, good coffee and very nice breadassorti

Ania Chrzanowska: The quality dropped a lot. The pastries are simply not good anymore

Máté Schneck: Zero flexibility, one and a half months delivery time. All this is included in the comment in the contract. It is not possible to request a product exchange even after prior reference. Without stock, they are only sold to order. They do not seek to solve a problem at all. The product previously ordered based on the picture turned out to be unsuitable for us, but they are still shipped citing legislation. The buyer has no value to them, it is only important until they are paid.

Nagy Péter: Fast flexible service. Neither delivery nor purchasing is impossible. My whole kitchen was renewed with them. Thanks.
Response: Thank you for your order and rating! :-)

Klára Lehoczki: Fast, correct execution! The flexibility of transport and the helpfulness of workers are outstanding. / Piper Lighter /

Chimney cake budapest: what do users think?

Ike Ichael: Quite expensive and I don’t think the chimney cake was especially fresh. It certainly didn’t taste that way. Very sweet. You’re probably better off walking around a bit and finding one elsewhere. I saw one with much more reasonable prices near the train station.

Ellen Tila: i was a bit taken aback at the prices, it’s very very expensive BUT the chimney cake they make is much bigger than at the regular kiosks and it was absolutely delicious (maybe b/c the dough was fluffier)

vivek sinha: Good taste though bit Expensive ... good service so overall nice place to try ice cream with #kurtiskala

mlay tech: The chimney cakes here are horrible and more than double the price. They are crusty and aged, not soft and fresh. After visiting Budapest over 9 times, I can vouch for the small stand up shop on the corner/end of Andrassy Utca. There is always a line there because it’s the best and most fresh. Worth the 5-10 minute wait. The price over there is 500 HUF, not 1350+. I paid 2000 and this horrible place for a cinnamon cake with Nutella. In Budapest you can get a big pie of Pizza for that price, this place is a total scam on price and taste!!!

Lukas Huncho: Amazing chimney cake in the heart of Budapest, must try if you are visiting. Absolute delicacy! There was even a pistachio special which was amazing

Gaby: Really friendly guy and my cinnamon chimney cake was delicious!

Nelly Kent: Bad taste and they do all electric . It’s not the real taste of kurtos. And it’s never fresh . They give all the time the ones with one say before because they are lazy to make new ones .

Jessica Wu: Such a cute and small authentic bakery. Standing room only. I got the cocoa krispy and it was very yummy!! Went back the next day for a cheese pogcasa, which was alright. Their offering changes daily.

Tamás Boczkó: One of the best bakery in Budapest! Fresh things all the time! Highly recommended!!

Krisztián Tóth: I ordered through they website in 2020 december, they delivered it to my door. These products are high quality, worth every penny. Thanks a lot!!

Holger Koch: Hi, Normally we go to the Pékműhely Batanya. It is perfect! Really friendly and helpful. This time we go to the Bartok one. The products are same good as in Batanya, but the service, a blond young lady, is absolutely displaced for this job with customers! First time that a person in a cafe was that unfriendly in Budapest. We came here about 15 years and 2 to 5 times a year. For the management: 14.12.2021, 12:40 p.m. If you need more information please contact me. We are not the only guest saying that! All the best!
Response: Thank you, for your feedback. Im really sorry and wish you all the best!

Mikkel Westenholz: Tiny bakery with excellent small selection of really nice bread and pastry. Both traditional Hungarian and international pastry and bread. Recommended and most likely one of best bakeries in Budapest. Be aware they often run out of bread and you will then need to wait for the next batch to be ready. Also remember to explicitly ask for the coffee to go if you want to bring it as you otherwise will get it in glass.
Response: Thank you

Sharen: Although the shop is not that big, you could clearly see how they make and bake the breads and pastries. It just make me feel super fresh and attractive . The prices are reasonable. I specially and highly recommend the cinnamon roll.
Response: Thanks

Apolka Lauran: Amazing quality, nice staff, tasty pastries, good coffee!
Response: Thanks

Sean Edgley: Awesome spot for traditional Hungarian baked goods. Good variety of bread loaves if you can arrive before 12-2pm. As Covid continues, you usually have to wait outside for 5-10 minutes before being able to enter, as the line somehow moves slow. Service is fine, and kakaos csiga are to die for. Best traditional csiga in the city.

Filipa Castro: The cinnamon roll is delicious. The almond one is also good. The space is super nice, both outside and inside, especially upstairs. The staff was nice but the service could be optimized. There was a lot of staff but only one counter, leading to a long queue. Also what I didn’t like was that the hot drinks (two cappuccinos) took more than 10 minutes to be ready.

yael shifman: An amazing bakery! Arrived two days in a row to enjoy this place one more time! The pastries with the blueberry is so delicious! Just go there and enjoy everything! The people who work there are very nice and explaining everything so you will have a great experience! Also good for someone who need to work on the laptop!

Ya'ara Leibovitz Gimburg: The best bakery in Budapest! We stayed in Budapest for 12 days and almost every morning we visited this place. Flawless pastries, good ambiance, very good price. Wishing every day to be back there.

Davide Zanutto: A good bakery where you can have breakfast or stop to buy some bread. The staff was really nice and can speak a good English. The pastry was really good and also the “cortado”. I would seriously consider trying this if you’re looking for a place to eat and don’t want to spend much money.

Ayçin: It was the breakfast we had in Budapest. The sandwich with mortadella, olives & cheese roll, cinnamon roll with walnuts, cardamom roll with cream & berries; everything we tried was amazingly delicious! The coffee was also very good. This is a must in Budapest!

Johan Wang: In my short stay in Budapest I came here a couple of times. The first time mesmerized me and afterwords, if I had a chance I would head there again and again. Their desserts are rich and flavorful, believe me if I say that each one of their item deserves to be mentioned but it would be an endless review. And they also offer savory options. While eating they came to me with some water and that was very welcomed. The people working there are very professional and the atmosphere is very chill. Till next time.

Thanos P: Probably this is the best bakery I have ever been to. I cannot tell what was the best!!There might be a queue even from early in the morning but the staff is doing their best to service as fast as possible and they were always smiling despite the workload.

Roland Trimmel: Excellent. I’m literally stopping by here every second day — the bakery is the best in Budapest, they have amazing stuff. And the porridge is equally nice, just a separate entry. For both places you can sit outside and enjoy people strolling by, while you sip and excellent coffee and some morning delights. Service is superb, the staff are all really nice .. and they love dogs.

Wen Lin: Check out this pistachio green house, it’s just lovely, and if you love pastry, you can’t missed!I recommend Potato scone & Apple strudel, they are amazing. So far, it’s the best I’ve ever had.

Alex Yajuk: Their cremeshnit is just superb! Very tasty! Visited there with my wife, ordered hot chocolate and coffee with the cake, the experience was awesome and the taste even better. Sometime there are a lot of people so maybe you will have to wait in line. The wait is totally worth it ! Recommend for everyone who is visiting the place !

Alexandros Giannakopoulos: It is a very nice option for a short stop. We ordered two Hungarian traditional sweets which were very delicious. Especially the Ruszwurm cream cake was extremely fresh! We stayed outside but inside you could easily see the big variety of sweets that you could order. Prices were reasonable.

Xueliang Huo: We ordered the cake of 2021(forgot the name), the raspberry cake, the cream cake and three palmier cookies. All of them are good and cost about 10 euros. The cream cake is my favorite. Not that sweet but super soft. The palmier is good too and my two little boys love it. Definitely will come back when we visit Budapest in the future.

Jennifer Smith: Incredibly crowded and tiny seating space indoors but the queue moved fairly quickly. Lovely interior decor that dates from the 19th century. We had a glass of delicious wine and one cottage cheese and one cherry strudel. Service is quick-fire although once served you’ll have to flag the waitress or waiter again for attention. Not the friendliest but with this volume of people I wouldn’t be either!

Y. Pletenytska: Nice and tasty.Fee for service is included in bill. Warm and food was delicious so we are thankfull as world became nicer after eating in your cozy place! We paid no more than 4 euro for cake and tea (one teapot for both of us)

Nisa H.: We came here twice for the delicious cream cake, it’s so light and fluffy! All of the cakes are tasty and definitely worth a try. Service was excellent and the price is affordable. I definitely recommend!

Aaron Santa María: A gem of a bakery! It’s a traditional and historic pastry shop on the Buda side (a hundred meters from Matthias Church) famed for being the oldest one in the city. Their cakes and pastries are exquisite and not too sweet, while the service is excellent. A must-try whenever in Budapest!

Ayçin: One of the worst cake I’ve ever had. I had the one with crispy caramel on top. It wasn’t fresh and overly sweet. Very dry and tasteless. We were 3 friends and non could finish it so we had to throw it away. I was expecting a lot more than such a place with history.

Sugar! Design Confectionery and Candy Store: what do users think?

Snir M.: We were excited to see this place and had some expectations. This place is nice, but mostly gimmicky and not worth a a special visit. If you were nearby, it could be nice to see it. But other candy stores offer better collections of products.

Antoine: Cakes are very good, but most importantly : the macarons are of the finest quality. Having been raised in France, these challenge most of the ones you can find in Paris, even some of the Ladurée shops. The Nutella ones are a bit too much, but the rest is very delicate.

peanutbutternjelly •: Very pretty shop but nothing special. If you happen to pass by it’s nice to look at but don’t go out of your way to go here. Candy was a little overpriced for what your getting. The younger employees seemed nice but the women who i think was the owner seemed to be rather unfriendly towards me and in general.

Marija: the lemon cake had to much flavour. Not sure if it is arificial but it feels that way maybe just tone it down a bitThe other one, i think was blackbeary, the sponge is a bit to dry, but the poppy-blackbeary combination is very good

Csaba Szabó: Sugar! Is a very upscale, trendy and joyful confectionary with an emphasis on sugary sweet cake and mignons. While non-added sugary products are also available together with some fun memorabilia and rarer for-the-region (american) sweets, they stand out with their self-made products. If you go here you MUST check out the bathroom. The whole place is designed like it’s straight out of candy crush or sth.

Zorka Herczeg: Amazing place, we fell in love, the real childhood dream came true!😍😍you can buy a lot of different kind of 🍭🍬🍫the cakes and pies were absolutely amazing!!

Romana Zálešáková: The cakes were the most delicious, but I was so disapointed with the upper part of the shop, the tables and menus were not clean. The only thing I loved about the upper part were the toilets- clean and super stylish. Despite a bit of negative things, I have to say, I enjoyed my stay there.

Tibor Kaczur: Cakes, sugar, shakes, sweets whatever you want, name it. Sugar rush is on!

Avi Ghelman: Loved it. A lot of sugar....
