Culinary Hungary Home Cooking Class and Market Tour: what do users think?

Amanda Egbert: Wonderful experience - I highly recommend. We decided to do this cooking class on our first trip to Budapest and loved it. Agnes met us in the morning and took us on a tour of the central market, providing samples of Hungarian food and explaining all about the market and Hungarian cooking. The cooking lesson was fantastic and the food delicious. We chose to make beef goulash, stuffed cabbage and Hungarian pancakes. The food was fun to make, turned out delicious and Agnes was a joy to be around!

Dawn Miller: Our day with Andrew was excellent. We tried foods in the market we would have overlooked without our guide. We cooked 3 amazing dishes, two of which have made it onto our regular meal plan. The kitchen is simple but we had everything we needed. You can be as hands on (or off ) as you like, just let your host know.

Easy Cooking Budapest Főzőiskola Csapatépítő Főzések Céges Csapatépítések Cooking Class Market Walk: what do users think?

Jon Sumroy: Kata is fantastic, we had a wonderful day. We were a complicated group, looking for a vegetarian experience in a country that uses animal fat in everything! First Kata took us to the largest Budapest market, where we bought all the ingredients. However, it was much more than that. She is also a tour guide and gave us a wonderful historic and cultural tour. The main event was the cooking experience. The facility is excellent and we enjoyed a five course feast that we really did create ourselves. Highly highly recommended.

Maryann Miernicki: My family had the BEST time at our cooking class! The entire experience was very organized, with Kata meeting us at the market where we had a variety of tastings and then a quick taxi ride to the kitchen where everything was ready for us to cook. Kata was extremely knowledgeable, fun, and friendly-she truly has a gift for sharing her heritage and making everyone feel comfortable. Plus our meal was delicious! We have taken quite a few other cooking classes in various countries and, hands down, this was the best. Very reasonably priced and Easy Cooking Budapest delivered everything they promised. We are going to recreate our meal this Christmas Eve!

Julie Augustyn: This was a fine experience, however having gone to chef’s parade this was rather disappointing. It was a very large group (16) for a single kitchen space. There was a lot of sitting and watching in silence not a lot of doing. It was not a very interactive experience. The knives were absolutely horrible. We could have cut better with a spoon. The food was very underwhelming. The space was rather chilly and not very inviting. Rather unfortunate experience.

matthew troy: Kata was an incredible guide. She taught us much about Hungary, gave us many delicious appetizers during the market tour, and everything we cooked in the kitchen was incredible. Come hungry!

Chelsea Worstall: Kata was an amazing teacher and the class was very fun! We enjoyed touring the market and learning about the food culture. Cooking was great and the food was delicious! We would definitely take this class again!

Balázs Udvardi: Lovely and helpful host, easy to follow steps with excellent results. Really enjoyed the whole experience, highly recommend to any friendgroup even without the slightest cooking skills :-)

Mike Steph: Just a wonderful personalized experience. My wife, young daughters, and I enjoyed the chance to tour the historic market and learn so much about Hungarian food and ingredient traditions. We also loved how they included all of us in the cooking, which made it a true family experience. Plus the food was delicious!

Sam Delano: Had such a great afternoon!! Spent the afternoon cooking an amazing meal that showcased the authentic flavors of Hungary. Our guide Kata was extremely knowable and friendly. 10/10 would recommend.

Portobello Chef: what do users think?

Gergő Lakos: Niki is kind and helpful, she provided us with many useful tips, we really enjoyed the course! It was a special pleasure for us that you provided us with the opportunity to prepare gluten- and lactose-free versions of the dishes we were looking at! Its goal is to prepare delicious dishes from high-quality ingredients, and it also made us want to experiment and learn more in the kitchen.

Attila Kolonics: The barbecue course is great. There was an introduction to many different techniques with a variety of materials, and we received thorough, professional knowledge. Once I was a private person, once we organized it as a team builder at the company, both were great: experience, knowledge, team builder, everyone was enriched with useful knowledge. The instructor is kind and direct, he convinced us that we will definitely go to another Portobello course!

Kitti Perl: I felt great, I learned a lot from Niki, who constantly encouraged me and praised me. Five stars!

Gábor Bliszkó: It was a great experience and I finally learned to cook :)

Péter Fercsi: Kind, attentive education and instructor! Professional environment, quality ingredients. A lot of information about the raw materials, the tools, the process of the whole evening, the possible acquisition of the raw materials. We have become richer with relaxed cooking and useful advice! It was a really great Monday evening program to start the week! Those 3-4 hours passed in a good mood.

Nacsa Panna Nikoletta: 5 stars is not enough! Professional service, nice people!! 10/10 Thank you for the experience!!
