Aneta Navrátilová: I was here for Erasmus the teachers are really friendly and they mostly have good English, the university office is a bit chaotic but they try to help with everything.bytu can recommend this uni for Erasmus.🐙

SriHarsha Tatineni (Bapu): The Hungarian University of Fine Arts is the central Hungarian art school in Budapest, Andrássy Avenue. It was founded in 1871 as the Hungarian Royal Drawing School and has been called University of Fine Arts since 2001.

Luca Bandl (Lulu): They were the best years of my life, thank you! They imparted a lot of knowledge, I also loved the teachers and the whole building, the atmosphere that was here. Solid art.

Panna Lea Bodnár: This school is about the best place to go if you want to study arts! In addition to providing such a foundation in the art subjects that he teaches that many (as I have seen) can immediately find a job in the profession, he provides students with an environment that cannot be found elsewhere - it is no wonder that many of us consider it a "second home " mentions the place among the students. I highly recommend it to everyone, not necessarily just to study here, but even just to visit, especially during the year-end exhibition, because just seeing the works made by the students is an experience! :)

VÁNDOR VIDÉKI: I really like the building.

Luca Bardos: I love it! It was the best decision of my life.

Lee Via Nocturna: Professionally trained teachers. An institution with a unique atmosphere.

Fruzsina Joó-Laib: I went here :) it was a great 5 years.

Krisztina Timár: Beautiful neighborhood! The school is also wonderful!

Andor illés: The scene of my best years

Fletum Fletum: The Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest is located right across the Heroes Square. Since we went here in the evening the museum was closed, so cannot comment on the insides. The exterior is amazing in a Greek architecture style. Would love to come back and visit the museum sometime soon.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait Reservation recommended Not sure …More

Gordon Fu: Great interactive equipments, shame almost 1/3 of the permanent exhibition are closed when I visited. superb gift shop, postcards are so nice, and cheaper than those souvenirs shops. Great ceiling arts for relatively new built buildings. If you pay attention you can see the star signs!

Mateusz Adamkiewicz * Матэвуш Адамкевіч: Definitely a great museum with a vast range of various treasures of Hungary and Europe. Picturesque interior. Such a pity that Monet’s paintings were no longer there during our visitVisited on Weekday Wait time Up to 10 min Reservation recommended No …More

Alan Stephens: My abiding memory of this place was the length of the queues. Twice gave up on previous day. Strongly recommend online booking, you will still join a (lengthy) queue, but it moves quicker than general admission. Enjoyed Egyptian and Roman exhibits in lower levels. Paid extra to view Matisse exhibit, still not a fan of his paintings except early self portrait. Did like some of his sculpture particularly larger scale pieces. May have missed them but no English works, Turner etc, or impressionists. Subject matter very heavy on portraits, religious scenes, some beautifully done but how many faces do you want to look at? Did not see one sea scape, battle scene unless you count George and the dragon. What did like was how the 3 main halls had been created in different architectural styles. But overall felt a little disappointed. Maybe been spoiled by National Galleries in London, Madrid, and Rome.

Emma T.: Went to the Bosch exhibition on saturday. The line went on a medium speed, we waited around 15-20 minutes to get inside. Before entering we had to show our bags or leave them at the cloakroom. The exhibition itself was amazing, nicely planned out with great information about the painter and the history of the paintings. The ticket was about 4400 ft/adults, and very worth it Highly recommend!

Livia Kurniadi: Everything about this museum is just amazing! The building and interior are beautiful, and big collection of European Art.Went to the temporary exhibition of Henri Matisse and it was really great! Definitely worth visiting!Visited on Weekday Wait time 30–60 min …More

Kateřina Plívová: Visited this gorgeous museum on a Saturday morning. Went to see the Bosch exhibition and there was quite the queue, we waited about 20 minutes to get in. But it was worth it. We got tickets to see the Bosch exhibition which also included access to all the permanent exhibitions, which was great. Got the half price ticket for residents of the EU under 26 years of age. The place is wonderful and we saw lots of beautiful pieces of art. We also tried the restaurant, which had very limited options for vegetarians (rice and steamed vegetables is about as good as it gets) but it was quite nice nonetheless. Definitely a good spot for a quick, cheap lunch, a snack or a coffee and cake.

Irene Genelin: I visited the museum with my seven year old daughter. We enjoyed the interactive display of all the pieces of art, the Ancient Egypt exhibit, and the highest floor sculpture exhibit. We also had an afternoon refreshment in the cafe, and it was satisfying. I recommend a visit to this museum.

Giulia: Just from outside, as a visitor/passer-by, the cluster of buildings is noteworthy! Some new, some restored, with gardens lovely landscaped, different shapes and seating areas, looking onto the hills. It is nice to visit, see and sit around during the weekend, when it was basically empty.

Gábor Bálint: The best

Katalin Barbor: Wonderful works by masters and apprentices are on display until November 14!

Áron Dávid: You can come across exciting experimental performances here (e.g.: Timon of Athens), but sometimes, unfortunately, you can also see very bad and embarrassing things (Henrik VI).

Robert Freud: On September 13, 2020, the students organize excellent programs in front of the building, I recommend it to everyone

John Kennedy: Top orchestral concert in a superb venue on Oct 13th. Acoustics terrific. A pleasure to hear the MAV SZIMFONIKUSOK who were brilliant

vivian Teh: Gorgeous academy, done a tour here. Absolutely beautiful. The final year student who plays the piano is so talented, absolutely enjoy it so much.

David Zicho: Possibly the best acoustic place in Budapest. Always nice concerts. The building itself worths a visit

Dan Leal: My only regret is not coming here before. The architecture is turn of the century and all handcrafted and stunning. We were blessed to see one of the most talented pianist in the world, Laszlo Varadi in an intimate private concert. This young man is the real deal! 🎹🎶

Zsuzsanna Sziveri: Great classical music concerts, magnificent building.

Mikko Stout: Beautiful building and a really worthwhile guided tour: recommend!

Dima Markman: Beautiful building very well preserved and decorated. Was there in concert, nice acoustics.

Toxteth O' Grady: I decided to visit the Museum of Applied Arts after reading all about Odon Lechner. This guy produced some stunning buildings in Budapest but seems to be less celebrated than the likes of Antoni Gaudi for instance. To be honest the building itself is the main attraction with its stunning Zsolnay roof tiling, the interior is pure white (it wasnt this way originally) and is very eastern in style. To wander into the main foyer is free as far as I know, but I also got free entry into exhibitions on Haydn and Time, Art Nouveau furniture and an exhibition on Ottoman Carpets. In terms of the overall Museum content, think of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and you wont be far wide of the mark.

Balint Csikos: Looks amazing even if it is not old or expensive. It is a good idea to represent applied art in an environment/building like this. I do recommend to visit one or more exhibition here.

Daniele Perillo: The building is beautiful outside and inside. Surprising architecture with exotic details. Interesting (but too small) exhibitions

Franz 'Sonik' Allard: The place feels slightly unloved, it needs our support! Very interesting and somewhat left field collection, the building is also beautiful.

Paul Klinger: Beautiful building, but the museum is closed until January 2021 due to renovation.

Egor Korshunov: I finally visited this place for a single exhibition. It is okay.

Authentic Experience: One of the best place to see the beautiful art and which glorify the history of this place. Easily accessible by trams, metro and buses. Just three stops by metro from inner city. The most important place to visit if you are tourists and like to see great artistic works. Well deserved five star.

Sashank Nyapati: Went to the temporary exhibition on bikeology - "latest bicycle design from 12 countries".

Matheus Néry Antunes: The permanent exhibition is nice. The building deserves a renovation.

Daniel: Otherworldly garden with ruined and overgrown statues everywhere. Such a magical little place. It’s usually shut to the public but if you can sweet talk security (or hop the fence) you’ll be rewarded with some stunning work. Some of Budapest’s best artists cut their teeth here and some of their early work is still visible.

Nigel Fitton: It is closed to the public even if you just want to walking the garden tosee the sculptures. Cannot understand why it says " "open until 18h00 confirmed 2 weeks ago"

Sandy Juhasz: Beautiful garden in Budapest. I visited there for the Japan Days. Highly recommended.

nick khen: seems you can no longer go inside, but over the fence you can look at some nice sculpture

Ligia Corduneanu: Nice but it cannot be visited.

sirály ferenc: Visible only at exhibitions. It was pretty neglected from outside.

Judit Várhelyi: It is a rare opportunity to get in, it is only possible with organized driving. Its atmosphere is charming both during the day and at night. Among the former studios of Strobl, Lotz and Benczur, you can find classical and modern sculptures, as well as a peek into the open sculpture workshop.

Daniel: Went to see the superb Jankovics exhibition but was also impressed by the other things on display. Beautiful building and helpful staff, as well as a varied and well-curated range of exhibitions. The video stories exhibit was thought-provoking too. Not as challenging as exhibits in other major European cities and the Nationalistic exhibit smacks of govt, but otherwise great.

Makar “Radioreley”: Didn’t impress much. Can’t impress an experienced traveler. Mostly paining exhibitions. Nothing more to say honestly. Water not allowed inside.

Lajos Zamatóczky: Bornemisza Péter Gimnázium is one of the largest educational institutions in Budapest, which, due to the large number of applicants, expanded with a new member institution in the 10th district seven years after its opening. It was named after Péter Bornemisza, the 16th century reformer.

Mini Mina: Someone here also wrote a longer review and it is completely true. most of the teachers are unholy, there are a couple of nice but rare things.:) even on the epulet itself, a trip to the top makes me think that the basement is below criticism. and there is no proper gymnasium, nor canteen, the school is inadequate in many respects. and the children who come here... no comment, there is a lot of malice here :((

Joseph Simon: Such a quality school, I think, would deserve more. By the way, the building also had a renovation.

Karolina: Hidden gem of Budapest. The entry to the whole building and garden is free. There are plenty of impressing masterpieces which you can buy! Also there is one of the most beautiful views at the Parliment from the top floor. Totally recommend if you have around 30 minutes of free time.
Response: Thank you for you kind words

Lilla Kertész: I had the chance to visit Koller Gallery when a super talented artist friend of mine, Marco Veronese, had an exhibition there. There is a beautiful small garden, connected to the gallery with a small fountain, lovely statues and it has also a calm, artsy atmosphere. Excellent to ponder on life’s big questions and chill a bit there. Worth to go!
Response: Thank you very much for your kind words, looking forward to your next visit!

Wiktoria Rak: wonderful small gallery, not many tourists seem to know about it. very nice lady working there. beautiful house with soul, and a stunning small garden!

Lilith: At first, we were a but scared to go and ring the doorbell but I am so happy we did! The warden was extremely friendly and welcoming and let us walk through the gallery at our own pace. The garden was so tranquil and lovely to be in. The highlight of the visit was the studio in the top floor which exhibited beautiful art and offered a view over the whole of Budapest.
Response: Thank you very much, looking forward to your next visit

Nick Bateman: Excellent little gallery with a wide range of classical and contemporary works by Hungarian artists. The top floor atelier (formally used by the sculptor, Amerigo Tot) with its incredible views of the city is worth visiting by itself. The small sculpture garden is also wonderful, and the staff are extremely polite and helpful. We’ll worth a visit if you’re looking for something other than the typical tourist sights on Castle Hill.
Response: Thank you very much !

Maryam Tohidi: Friendly gallery with a beautiful sculpture garden
Response: thank you very much !

Isabel S: A lovely art gallery tucked away with some brilliant pieces. The view from the top floor is stunning and a little remembrance of Irme Toth!

Khishigmaa Enkhtur: Nice gallery with the cutest small garden!
Response: Thank you very much !

Ryan: Very cool folks running it super friendly. Make sure to ring the bell. View from third floor impressive as an unexpected bonus.
